Oregon DEQ and Gas Self Service

There are 20 states that do not require anymore a periodic testing of the vehicles, but Oregon is not one of them. As COVID messed up pretty everything it messed this one too.

Hyundai sticker is 1 month overdue, they say the Police would offer a yet undefined grace period for those. However today i looked at the camera for DEQ Sherwood, which is 5 minutes drive from Angela's work place. The camera only points to the lanes entering the station. Don' know why they didn't bother to turn it around to show the real extend of the line. I mean, how big of an effort would that have been for the State of Oregon, would have prevented all those who drived in there and turned around because the line was way in the street, with an estimated waiting time of one hour.
So i said no way, i'm not gonna sit in there and use one gallon of gas or how much it is for idling the car one hour or start it like 20 times or how many cars where in line (an estimate of 50) divided by 3.

I knew about their DEQ too program so i went back at one of the shops i knew they're on the list of 60 shops in Portland area that are authorized during COVID to test your vehicle. I mean, how difficult is this. For all cars newer than 96, all they have to do is hook up a code reader, that some have gotten really cheap, i got a bluetooth connector i bough online fo 15 bucks and a Microsoft app for 3, read your car's computer and give you a printout and with that and probably their input you can go online at DEQ site (i think) and do the rest and then wait for the stickers in the mail. I mean, it's possible. In the parking lot i saw the tall guy who maybe the manager of that shop, the parking lot seemed full with cars, i also have a problem with the rear tires, i have to deflate them, peeled of the labels they forgot to peel when they installed them, those level being exact at the contact with the metal wheel and air being escaped by them. So i just passed, came back home instead and started the computer to look for alternatives.

I was really surprised to see a small oil change shop next to where i live. I went there before, there is a read bearded guy that reminds me of both a prince and Ed Sheeran. There was this girl who asked me from the start what year was my car (duh, it was obvious it was newer than 96), but that makes me think, they don't really have an analyzer, they can do it only with a code reader for cars newer than 96. Which covers 99% of vehicles i think.
So here i am sitting in the line behind a blue Sub Are You Vehicle admiring the scenery on the bumper sticker and the tortoise on the windshield On the bumper there was this hunter kneeling on one knee. The girl came, i opened the window, she said 10 minutes waiting time and i didn't shut the window cause it was warm and nice outside, for the first time since a long time and pretty hot inside.

I was tired cause i got awakened prematurely by some noise most likely from upstairs, can't always remember the noises that wake you up, sitting there, enjoying the weather when i saw a cloud of dust coming out of one of the vacuum cleaners of the car wash next to the lube thing. But the cloud seem to go in a slightly different direction so i didn't pay attention to it. Then i saw a yellow glove coming from the hole under the Subaru trying to find the plug of the 4 wheel differential and i realized they are also servicing that but still didn't come to my senses until i started feeling the dust in the back of my throat. It was then when i came back to my senses, backed up (i was over 10 minutes anyways, triggered a bell).

So i went back to Tires Pros (next red dot to left), i parked next to door and when i wanted to go inside i thought i saw in the office a guy who looks like a general i just posted about. So i just took the car, back to Angela's work parking lot, took my truck and went home. 2 hours lost.

Ionic Filters and Weather Control

One Man's Trick is Another's Man Magic
(are the magicians ever getting bored?)

How do they work? It's the simplest thing in the world. There is one or more wires in front and some blades in the back or direction of air flow (Blades could have been wires as well but they have an increased surface to collect dust). All the electronics inside are a high voltage generator (tens of thousands of volts). Wires are charged with high voltage positively and blades negatively.

Airborne particles are first charged positively by the wires and then are attracted by the negatively charged blades. Charged particles also move the air that by inertia passes the blades and leaves the filter.

So what this has to do with weather control?

Few people ever heard or even remember of the Pacific Intertie. The only DC high voltage line in the world. It goes from Bonneville's Dam in Oregon all the way to California for over 1000 miles. Here in this picture next to a "regular" AC high voltage line.


I would assume the line on the downstream side would get some dust on it. Hard to say from this only closeup i could find but from the piece of wire visible on the right, i can tell there is a difference in reflection of the light (less shiny) which comes from left, that is east (side). It all depends on what direction it had been used since it rained last time.

In order to create the DC (from "regular" AC they create at Bonneville), they use huge high capacity mercury diodes made in Sweden.

Anybody can see where i'm getting already? It's easy. Those charged lines, one positively and the other negatively at millions volts will eventually to the same as those filters do. Move the air perpendicularly on the direction of the wires however over a one thousand miles. The probably didn't know what will happen, maybe the initial purpose was to bring more rain in the desert. Maybe they did, a little. Maybe they realized it has a curious effect on long distances or in the Willamette Valley. Who knows.

Anyways, another reason not to use DC for transport of electricity at high voltages over long distances (this is the only line in the world) could be too much energy wasted for moving the air and possibly interfering with... weather patterns.

Everybody saw the commercials for Ionic Breeze by Sharpe Image back in the day. If they didn't buy one. I went once in the mall and was amazed by the way air was flowing out of those, with no fan. But over 400 dollars and i was also a bit paranoid about the ozone smell.

I own one of a different brand and i can telly they work, if not only by the amount of dust i collect weekly from the blades which surpasses several times whatever is captured in other types of filter. (However there's no filter good enough to filter what is falling on your hear directly from holes in the walls and cracks in the ceiling).

Sharper Image went bankrupt back in 2008. Don't know if the campaign against this type of products or something else. But their original idea survives to this day under a different brand.

But IonicPro are not  the same quality (and price). I bought two of them and after a while they start working intermittently. Air will flow out of them 10 seconds and then will stop the next 5 and then another 10 seconds of working, etc.. They are excellent at something else though. You can analyze, almost in real time, what type of dust you have in your house. Visually, by smell, using a magnifying glass and why not, you can collect some dust from blades and watch it under a cheap microscope. Then you can figure the source and fix it. Most of the time it's black mold or litter dust, insulation dust or more rarely human flaking skin.

(I can't believe its June 13 and 55 degrees outside and the ice cream van came repeating that annoying song. How is this related with what i'm working? It's related and they brought it because they know what i'm writing).

Venus With Three Kids and a Small Dog

Among many other things, "Budapest Is Europe's Porn Capital" Hungarian girls are beautiful, they want money, and there is something in their blood. They can do it." Phrases that came out on a google search.

I didn't know until way after i moved here that this complex hosts mostly socially assisted, poor immigrant people. We pay our rent but they don't. One night after an earthquake in Peru or Ecuador i saw them gathered outside. But population here changes constantly. Every day i see new faces and the familiar ones disappear.

By contrast lately a tall blond woman with blue eyes in her 40s, with the body of a Venus and three small very unlikely her kids. She specializes in getting in my way with the kids every time i walk or drive in the alleys.

We don't have two parking spots for our vehicles. There is one in front of the building and then we have to compete with others for a so called "visitor" spot. But lately, about several weeks ago they converted a few more of those visitors spots into spots for the handicapped. Now if i go in the park after 1 PM (a one mile drive) chances are i'm not going to find a visitor spot when i get back. So after an almost half mile drive on the alleys, sometimes involuntarily chasing the woman with the body of a Venus with three kids and a dog, i go and park in the parking lot next to street which belongs to Meridian Professional Building. So the next morning i have to go and pick the car from there, asking myself every time if it's not already towed. So it was this morning. After a show here at a car with 3 guys, i got to meet again with the "woman with three kids and a dog" who this morning was only with two kids. She and others were walking from the street parking lot, where i had my truck. There, some immigrant organisation (i saw a big Latina and two others, at a table behind an SUV) where distributing probably food.

Now what in the world a woman looking like a Venus dragging three kids and a dog in the parking lot would do here in the complex living on food assistance?

Trying to figure out i dived again on a short list with Hungarian women actors. Cause now i have the one from IMBDb which is way longer. But i vaguely remembered i saw her on that short list taken from Wikipedia. Without any embarrassment, in that list are also the most famous pron actresses in Hungary. One of them is Nikky Belluci, the one who looks like Kim Kardashian. Don't know if i found in there the woman with the body of a Venus, (three kids and a small dog). Never let me get close enough to see her. When i was driving behind her, she would go inside a building and could never see her face close enough. But i found something else. A porn actress who also poses as a family with her kid and husband. That, among many other things, is probably not out of the ordinary in Hungary, capital of porn industry in Europe. A country who's people call their God Isten (from Ishtar).

Relativist Drive

Saw in the news about the ambitions of "Musk" about building a reusable spaceship. Even if he succeeds, the current space technology is only a very expensive demonstration of the possibilities of manned orbital flight, which will carry us nowhere.

To me is more and more obvious i will never be able to patent this idea and draw any material benefits from it. And after all, it's not my idea. It is contained, in details, within the ancient symbol of caduceus.

A closed circuit with one direct straight line and two return lines in the shape of double helix that allows the flow of a heavy fluid like vapors of mercury at relativist speeds. That is close enough to speed of light so the relativist effects (increase of mass and momentum) takes place.

In one way or direct way, in the line figured by the stick in the middle in the first image the fluid goes at full relativistic speed respect to a coordinate system with x axis parallel with the stick and the other way, or return way or the two lines figuring a double helix, the component of axial speed or projection of speed on x axis in the same coordinate system is at one order of magnitude smaller than te full speed in the direct line thus there is no significant relativist axial component of momentum. The difference in relativistic axial momenta of fluid circulating in the direct and return lines will create a net momentum.

Easier. Imagine this. One larger cylinder containing a smaller (let's say 10 times the volume) cylinder inside, both of similar lengths and some means to accelerate the fluid inside the smaller one at relativist speeds. In the smaller cylinder the fluid circulates in one direction at higher relativist speeds than the relativist speeds in the larger one in the other direction. Will you have a net momentum from a closed circuit asymmetric relativist drive?

Yeah i know just read on forums, it is said that moving matter at relativist speeds also increase the temperature by the same formula as momentum (and mass) and that in the case of a gas like described above will leads to unmanageable temperatures even before reaching relativist speeds.

However i have some questions in my mind about that. Temperature does not exist per se or is a property of matter, like mass is (that increases by the same formula at relativist speeds). In a gas is a measure of the average moving speeds of molecules in random directions. When all molecules are moving aligned together at relativist speeds in vacuum in one direction like in LHC can we still talk about temperature?

BTW could mass defect be accounted for by the differences in speed of electrons moving in orbit at relativist speeds? The bigger the nucleus, the higher the orbits, the lower the speeds.

Frost Free Metsubushi

Jacob Perkins invented the compressor refrigerator in 1834. Einstein and his former student Szilard invented in 1926 a refrigerator with no moving parts. We used to have those in Romania in the 60s.

Japan feudal Police used the metsubushi (there is no plural in Japanese) supposedly to deter criminals.

But more modern refrigerators again use compressors. They are classified in current theories as heat pumps. One of the most overlooked devices that we all have in our houses. They taught us in engineering schools and faculties for HS physics teachers all kinda useless things. But never they spoke in detail about heat pumps. The reason is they are over unity devices. Because they do not simply transform electrical energy from grid into heat. They move heat from inside the fridge to outside. The idea is very simple. According to known laws of physics, all energy used by the fridge from grid is transformed in heat inside the compressor. That is all your consumption from the grid. The outer coil of the fridge eliminates that heat in the environment, that is your kitchen. However. More heat is being evacuated than the heat produced by the mechanical work of the compressor and that is the heat transferred from inside the fridge also to outer coil.

It was three years after the invention of the Einstein Szilard refrigerator that Szilard publicized one of the most shocking and influencing ever scientific article. Entropy can be reversed. They didn't teach that in colleges either. That paper started the great depression of 29 end everything after. 91 years of struggle, wars and mystery.

But these were not the reasons i started to write this. I said all those things before. There is a reason much more practical. The major health problems the current design refrigerators cause.

In the beginning of modern era compressor fridge there was the frost problem. Water from air mainly resulted from opening the fridge but also from food drying inside would condensate and freeze on the inner coils. Ice is an insulator, and that resulted in loosing efficiency of the fridge. Periodic unfreezing was necessary. That was done by emptying and cleaning the fridge and let the ice melt. Some fridges had a pipe from where the water was flowing, i don't know where. Maybe in a pan under the fridge.

Don't know and it's not so important who invented the frost free fridge. But it's not so orthodox most of us think.

Ice first stat building on the inner coil behind the back wall of the freezer section in this picture. If you can remove ice there, you will have no ice in the rest of the freezing compartment, like in the picture above.

They added a timer to the fridge and a resistor to the inner coil (behind the back wall in this picture) and approximately every 8 hours the fridge stops refrigerating and the resistor heats up the coil for about half hour until the ice is melted. For that half hour, temperature raises inside the fridge obviously but i never heard anybody complaining about their food being exposed to higher temperatures during that time. Maybe because they don't know. Water resulted from de-freezing will fall through a pipe into a pan under the fridge and because the pan is exposed to the heat of the outer coils (usually behind the fridge for that type) and the heat of compressor it will evaporate. That water is not clean cause it caries old food crumbles but worse, in a few years some sort of mud will start building up, because that water attracts dust from your environment. Few know about that as well.

But the worst. Lately they moved the outer coils under the fridge (where they can't be seen and cleaned) and added a fan for cooling the outer coil for efficiency. The coils are significantly smaller. You will not hear that fan because it always works in the same time with the compressor. Pan is not heated but water is evaporated from it by that fan as well. Not much mud is built in the pan either. Cause when the water dries, the dust is blown by the fan as well. Well, most of it.

Last night when the fridge started, Angela sneezed. This morning i woke up after 5 hours of sleep with pain all over my body, like i had all week. I had too major dust problems this week at the apartment. Monday some litter dust was releases from one of the apartments above nearby. Wednesday they blew the parking lot and the redwood mulch area around the building. I lost the opportunity to take a picture. They raised dust all the way to heavens, reducing visibility. Then it fell on the stairs, walls and screens. Constant flow of air from under door brought it inside. Both types of dust have their own characteristics and are very irritant, painful on skin, changing your mood, habits and generally all your life. Some of the dust ended under the fridge, the fridge's coil, wires and cardboard lid that covers the case behind the fridge.

That piece of cardboard, believe it or not, also have the role of attenuating the ultrasound created by the hissing valves (those which allow the Freon to compress and expand). High intensity ultrasound can also be in time a health problem cause it penetrates tissues.

The cardboard is perforated in the fan's area so the hot hair from cooling the coil can escape in the environment.

This morning i pulled the fridge from the wall, removed the cardboard cover, tilted it and cleaned it, first time after two months. I used a 2 gallon garden sprayer with a manual pump, hot water and one drop of laundry detergent. Cardboard had dust buns inside (invisible from outside) in the area of the perforations, when the fan blows. I din't look at the coils under. I know they had dust on. Dust that gets heated when the compressor starts.

People don't pay attention to these things. They don't create much problems on the short term. Some take on the problem of efficiency because dust buildup reducing the cooling capacity of the outer coil, which is not the biggest problem here (picture below).

Nothing more than a sneeze and unpleasant smell when they start. Soon after, the smell clears and/or people get used to smell and dust. But there are enough pictures on the web to figure the dimension of the health problem created by it.
I have a degree in mechanical engineering, also worked as technician (both in partially artificial environments but still) and all i can tell is they have to change the design of the fridge to eliminate these problems. Only real solution i can see is hooking the fridge to water supply and drain and use small amounts of water for cooling the outer coil and eliminate pan, fan and drain the water from de-freezing. But this won't happen unless the people complain and people don't complain because they don't know and love the convenience of a fridge you don't have to hook up to nothing.
