June 4th

12:30 I rotated the car's tires (front with rear). Quite a bit of work in the parking lot with no power tools. I thought i was going to have to put more air in the fronts as the rears had less before i did so. However i had the inspiration to measure them first. Guess what. The higher pressure stayed in the new fronts. That ca have only one explanation. 2/3 of the car's weight lays on the front wheels and because of that the pressure increases in tires when you move them from rear to front. Never new that.

June 3rd

12:34 I remember how frustrated i was 28 years ago (almost) when i came to the US. My English was pretty basic back then and because i couldn't speak my mind, people were showing faces at me that were telling: Idiot... Retard... Psychotic...

Nobody will ever know how painful it was to get here. To write a blog in English and say things that would never have crossed my mind if i didn't come here. I would have never known that a band like Oasis existed. Radio stations in Romania play mostly euro-dance to this day. Would have always got high drowned in sugar.

But always feel the same anxiety when i try to say things i haven't before. I wish i could find quickly the words to describe this band. After peeking in Wikipedia all i saw was... Britpop. Heavily influenced by Beatles. Influential.

What i would say. Same bpm as one song would start from another. Monotone sparkling guitar chords and a plain bold voice. Acceptable but never triggered in me the urge to look for their name. A counterbalance to Nirvana. Eye popping lyrics (One Headlight, where they become distinct and do i feel a bit of late modern new wave psychedelic in there). So to this day i never knew of Oasis, Liam and Noel Gallagher etc. by name. Though i have listened to their music probably as much as to Phil Collins and Sting. Safely blame it on (local) DJs for both.

What made me today. The weird coincidence of this article after me heavily criticizing both of the above.

Not the first time when i heard the phrase: Pill Collins is the must successful untalented guy. Insecure, shy, pretentious. Yes it's true.

But other than a guy named Noel cursing a guy named Phil, i don't really see any anti-racism.

And yes i wouldn't have known that walflowers do exist if i didn't google for the name of the song.

Sadly not the only coincidences in the news (should be getting used by now but it shocks me every time) with what i wrote lately. News about disasters from remote areas. But only by looking carefully, for more than a couple of seconds, you may be realizing those are fake.

1:53 The left front wheel nuts went loose in the same night i torqued them to 10 twice, like all the other wheels, after i went to WinCo. Forgot to re-torque them. Last night i had trouble driving because of those. I went outside to torque those and collect the oil from the catch can. I talked about aloud inside for at least one hour. But when i went i started with torquing and what did i see. The second or third veteran with his wife was returning from the mailboxes. Can't say they got in front of me. But they anticipated the moment i would go to do it.

She, playing victim, he the protector. She wouldn't go to pick the mail alone especially when she knows i'm about to do something at the car (the smallest thing involving oil). Starting to hear a bunch of Hareleys in the distance when i went the second time. Or a military plane on afterburner. Either ways.

They continued like that until i went back inside. A van with White Shinto LPN made a turn using the next spot when i was leaving, getting real close to me. Inside two Japanese models made up almost blond staring at me with shown disgust. In that moment i felt like going and smashing the windows of that van. BTW there wasn't much oil in the can but a couple of onces of water mixed with oil.

To me it looked like this spring, all of a sudden, the car started to put lots of blow by mixture which prompted me to install it.

That emulsion is thin, not like oil and would bounce in the can and probably climb and part of it get inside the intake, defying its purpose. The can came with some sort of metal sponge that would prevent that but i'm afraid to put it in, on counts of what if some metal breaks from it and get in the engine. I'm thinking of using some absorbent material that can't break but that could get sucked into it.

3:13 Getting ready for vacation, got my new GPS. So far. Hard to input addresses. Not all places, like all casinos, are listed. Have to manually put in the current position at start? Truth is i didn't completely learn how to use it but pretty decent for 60 bucks. Choice from many other Chinese ones at the same price was battery (2500 mAh) and list of places. Nicest thing. It shows speed limit in any area and tells you if you are over it and after that one more time if you are over that +10. A half second delay in vocal turn announcement that may become critical at times.

Stuck with a suction cup on the windshield, same problem as with my dashcam that got destroyed by heat from sunlight. Tried and put a piece of aluminum foil in the back of it  to prevent this.

12:10 Bow Down Mister...

12:11 I secretly wish this friendship would bring us some help in the struggle with Austro (Hungary). Unless... Unless he's coming just to get the Russians mad with Romania...

Me personally i don't believe nuclear weapons, the kind they say they put on rockets do exist. Like in the case of conventional bombs, they need a shell to create pressure. Without a big steel shell all you will get from a "nuke" would be a fizz or a meltdown.

They could have some, encased, that need to be really big, in different locations in different countries and detonate those, and they claim they were sent by rockets. They could have giant planes loaded with shaped charged conventional explosives to simulate a small nuke.

Hiroshima etc. was a hoax enacted by the ninja using the Spruce Goose plane to give leverage to the world governments controlled by them for the next 100 years or so or until people will figure it out.

June 1st

3:23 No clear etymology is given in Wikipedia for the name Germania, given by Romans to the area north of Gaul. I was browsing for Roman emperors and i was searching and reading about the emperor nicknamed Caligula, who was the third emperor of the empire. His face reminds me of known Hungarian actors of today. However his inherited name, from his father, which was more like a title, given by the Senate to emperors or generals after acquiring new territories, comes after Germania and it made me curious and clicked on it and once again i was intrigued by the vagueness of possible etymologies.

Then i remembered i once found on a very nice and detailed map of Ancient Europe i can't find right now, something that caught my eye. But found another one that might be better... A tribe named... Cherusci (right above where it says GERMANY).

Then i remembered i once wrote... well, posted, some pictures with Cherokees, again intrigued by the fact they were wearing feathers on their shoulders (like another guy known to us from even more ancient times) and possible link with Bible's Cherubs.

A missing (internet address) link, by that time i was putting only links to the pictures, i gave up that habit after too many links broke. I don't care about restoring this post since, well, i think i've done enough volunteering already, but look... And think.

We should quit seeing history as about isolated countries or Bible only as a religious book. They were links in the past among all continents especially during Northern Ice Age and people might have wondered more than we know from history classes.

As for Germany. Why the name Deutsche or Dutch by which Germans call themselves nowadays was not mentioned by the Romans?

There is a possible explanation. They weren't there at that time. Due to abundance of metals, especially gold the area of Dacia later occupied by the Romans was quite a worry free, advanced civilization. History now tells us that the barbarian Romans wiped or voided  of people the entire densely populated area of the occupied part of Dacia, taking some 500 000 prisoners which were then turned into slaves.

Could some of the remaining others have become refugees in western Europe, notably the Ruhr area which was also rich in metals, though not so much gold that was already depleted and thus not of so much interest to Romans anymore so they could go on with their skills to this day?

This could explain the Romanians' attachment for Germans, choosing a German dynasty as their kings and now a German (looking) president

May 31

1:10 I had started in my mind a little project trying to compare the differences in military power between Celts and Dacians, starting with the Boudica revolt and ran into a page about Druids. Was getting bored and about to close that page when i saw this and then made a link with this which got me excited again.

1:38 Here it goes. The final battle of the Boudican revolt. 10 000 well equipped, trained Roman soldiers which in numbers are the equivalent of two legions, against 230 000 furious, poorly equipped and disorganized Briton civilians. Tacitus said... The battle saved the province for Romans, at a time Nero was considering retreat from Britain and Romans stayed there for aprox. 350 more years.

1:41 Now try to imagine the military power of Dacians. In the second Dacian war, Trajan built another over one km or almost a mile long stone bridge over Danube and crossed with over 150 000 soldiers or 30 legions and defeated the Dacians. It was worth it cause that brought Rome 200 tons of gold a year from Dacian mines for the next 170 years. But it wasn't only gold. 500 000 Dacians fell prisoners and were turned into slaves. Usually where there's gold there's also silver etc...

2:20 For those who still wonder about the origin of Romanian people and language...

2:28 There is little doubt that, like other times when supposedly nobody was upstairs, or in between occupancies, someone actually is, this time hidden behind those appliances. Some faint steps earlier changed my mood and a single shy squeak more recently made me accidentally delete the phrase above. Good thing i wanted to see something else and could not find the link and the phrase.

2:45 Iaziges, probably at the origin of (the name) of modern city of Iași...

3:02 Possible origin of the toponym Transylvania, different from the official theory...

3:20 First evidence of Christianity. Gothia... Gothia...

3:27 I didn't know! Dacicus Maximus, reconquest?

11:25 There is little doubt (to me) that Rome was named in honor of lord Rama, the most popular deity in India, on a Rama Navami day or April 21, 753 BC. Latin language is close to Sanskrit (common ancestor of most Indian languages) and probably evolved from a language that was spoken in India at that time. Roman, Greek and Hindi pantheons are similar. Romans came from India. (Dacian language was also close to Sanskrit, but from initial Indo-European migration towards west).

11:36 Rama was born in the present day city Ayodhya, Utar Pradesh, some 400 km away from the much newer but recognizable Taj Mahal mausoleum. Did Ceaușescu try to leave us a clue by having a relaxed, happy picture taken near it (to point the location)? Is Zoia (a Greek name) featuring a simplified version of Ardha Matsyendrasana yoga pose? Elena dressed in orange could also represent a happy Buddha, etc..

Uttar Pradesh is neighboring with Nepal, where Buddha was born in @ -500. Also close to eastern border of India, where the snakes could have landed from Australia.

A small contribution to the future to help solve some of history's mysteries. Time travel.

I know Ceaușescu was not who he said or we thought he was but probably Romanian patriots at the time convinced them to go there and do this little scene.

7:15 Pytaghora and Buddha, both founders of philosophy, lived in about the same period of time.

King Ashoka known Buddhist missionaries.
