Mysteries Of The Attic, Revealed

Before picture date

After i discovered this i started working on. Damn thing was a trap. You touch it, it's your responsibility. Unnacceptable the way it looks, the smell from bathroom and kitchen coming back into the attic.

I though i was smart enough to mess with it. For about a year, several versions, unsuccesful.

About a year ago it became what is seen in this picture below.

A piece of plywood covering the vent hole. A 12 V computer case fan right under the vent, encased in the 6 inch vent. 4 one way valves with three flexible pipes, two from neighbors and one from me (that is not shown in the first picture above because it was laying on the floor blowing the insulation through a hole right above my kitchen window) in the covering plywood. Three 4 to 3 inches reductions. All sealed with silicon and 3M quality tape.

I have a variable voltage power supply for the fan. When it's hot in the attic (it can reach 120 degrees) i turn it to the maximum ant it cools the attic at least 10 degrees. At 6 Volt works but if one the neighbors forgets the fan like it happened almost every day within last 10 days, it won't cool the attic.

The one way valve that opens in the attic has been modified (re-balanced for a much lower flow). The others are plain valves for dryers and they work the way the were designed.

When one or two of my neighbors uses the bathroom fan the one way valves close and don't allow back-flow on any vent. There is one more one way valve at the other end of each pipe near the fan in each bathroom. Enough redundancy here.

For the kitchen exhaust, i used a computer fan fed by a 5 V USB power supply right above the microwave. If i don't use that one after i cook and stop the main fan in a few hours everything around it in the kitchen starts to stink really bad. I tried with a one way valve and didn't work. So that fan runs all the time.

In the attic i replaced the end of the pipe that was damaged and surrounded with a piece of plywood like in the picture.

Yesterday i discovered that for the vent shown in this picture above part of the tape was taken or blown apart. A small percentage of the whole flow was back-flowing. The two pieces of plywood that surround the pipe are cut around the pipe real nice and there is no much play. However i put new 3M tape and pushpins to secure the tape in place.

I also found 4 or 5 leaks in the other joints of the vents shown in the other pictures and re-taped them all.

Very difficult to work because they were numerous vehicles and small planes making noises like for every move i made. At first there was a big truck with pneumatic brakes that was releasing air every time i was breathing. This makes me very nervous and i make mistakes. My ground level neighbor also turned on the fan for about half hour. This always happens when i start working on those things. But since i write in here everything is quiet except a car or two.

08/08/13 7:07 PM:

Last year i taped this piece of 7 inch flexible pipe only at the joins and where it was leaking through tiny wholes. At the picture date and time 08/08/2013 07:05:39 PM i discovered several leaks, only with the main fan on. The wires are from a 12 V computer fan that is powered by a 5 V USB charger. It works all the time to prevent back-flow from the wind and bad smell to accumulate in the 7 meter/6 inch exhaust that goes in the other side of the roof near the vent as shown in the first picture. So i covered it completely with tape, 3M, Tough, 7 dollars at Home Depot. The valve that shows open in the 2nd and 3rd picture was sticky and wouldn't open or close easy. I checked and find some chip of plastic (1 mm long) hanging from one of the side like it was trimmed with a knife but not completed. It was out of balance too. I re-balanced it and checked to see if there are leaks so i covered the valve's entrance with a piece of cardboard and set the fan on 12 V. As soon i was removing the cardboard, the fan was going maybe 30% faster and noisier. When i installed the whole thing more than a year ago i put 2 big tubes of GE II Silicone and sealed the space between the vent, shingles and plywood. I installed two hooks for the attic lid and replaced it with painted fiberboard when i moved here. The hooks have threads and are long and go over the sheet-rock and into the wood. Today i found one more hole one inch next to one of the hooks that was corresponding to the attic and one of the hooks was replaced with a shorter one and wasn't reaching the wood. Fixed everything.

Yesterday and today i found two more small holes near the bathtub, corresponding inside the wall and attic space. Covered them.

In the last few days there was "attic smell" inside. I'll see if it disappears after these fixes.

DE CE

I know some people would do anything to make me stop writing on this blog. But i wouldn't write about Romanian politics anyway anymore, i already decided that. At least for a while. Maybe i should start writing this like a log.

I really hoped things would somehow get fixed, maybe get a job, maybe some money from people who owe me and never had to write this here. But that might very well never happen.

I barely got out from a "road rage" incident when a 70-80s black Chevy with modified suspension and exhaust and huge tires was trying to back-up from the alley where i live, ocuppying both lanes and making big noise and smoke almost climbed on my little S10. There was a "witness", a guy with a dog in a black T shirt with some white drawing on it nearby. I can imagine what would have happen if i was tried to confront the guy. I just passed him and went to the other alley.

But this is just the last incident. I was thinking maybe i should start to say how i got here in the first place. But the story is too long and now i would try to write it backwards. Earlier i tried to drive to the only open liquor store after 8 about 6 miles from where here where i live. Every intersection, an opportunity for accident. On the freeway, there was like 10 cars trying to aggress me, it's too long to remember and write it here but it was worse than usually. Every time is. Subtle enough not to raise suspicions to unaware people though. If there's anyone left. At the store, in the line, in front of me, a white guy with shaved hair was talking way too much with the cashier, buying and unbuying things, packing and unpacking until behind me grew a line. Earlier i saw a woman with a wet, cold, just pulled from the fridge gallon of milk in her hand buying liquor. I salivated instantly because i drink lots of milk. Etc. Then he synchronized and drove on the alley in the parking lot in front of me with a 30 year old car. All the turns until i got on the boulevard. I didn't even start the ventilation in the car. On the way back the same show. It's good though today not every time when i turned my head i saw someone drinking or sucking from a jug. Cause this was the last trend of the last  year. If i passed someone with a smoking car and look at him/her he would pull a jug with drink and start drinking with big thirst.

Before that. This whole apartment where i live sometimes i think it was build from recycled stuff and designed especially to get people sick. Especially the exhaust from the cooking stove that instead of going vertically and through the roof and then a few more feet upwards like a chimney, it goes almost horizontally about 7 meters to the other side of the roof and opens inside the attic where there is a flat vent. Even if it pushes the odor from the kitchen outside, the flow sticks to the building and comes back through the windows. Many times i said i wouldn't use it but sometimes i forget. And when it's hot the temperature in the attic goes to 110 F and more and everything there is in that 6 inch x 7 meter exhaust rots and smells really bad. It happens only in the afternoon when it gets hot and if i forget to start the fan and push some air in it i get sick before i realize it because the smell grows gradually. And if a plane passes by it vibrates and some of the stuff gets pushed inside the room. And i only realized this today. Or maybe i did before but i wasn't sure or i forgot. Don't get me wrong, i have a good memory but there's too many things going on. Then i leave the place because i'm so sick but just by driving around i get some fresher air and then come back later when it's cooler. But because of what happens on the streets i usually forget why and how seek i was when i left. About a year ago i closed the joint between the exhaust and the vent under the roof so the stuff cannot get back into the attic and goes all through the vent and put a one way valve on the end near the stove but on hot days like today it doesn't really help. But the vent is still flat and doesn't have a chimney. It only helps if i cycle some fresh air for about an hour through it. Today i put some enzyme from the pet store that decomposes stuff and has some deodorant in it.

In short, i spend hours every day just to clean or fix the place. Most of the time i'm sick because i'm sensitive to smell and also sick to the stomach. But it always happens in the afternoon when my next door neighbor and my wife are at work and i'm alone. Sometimes i feel like fainting or paralyzed to my spine. My wife lost some of her sensitivity to smell because of the chemo back in the fall of 2004, but she wasn't so sensitive in the first place. It's between a half time and full time job every day in a very bad environment. Not counting the trips at home improvement stores and the thousands of dollars i spent and hundreds of receipts i try to keep. I just finish fixing one stinking obnoxious thing then another one starts. I will try and continue to write this backwards but right now one of my neighbors maybe the one that's a real estate agent, the one who dug a whole withe her Mercedes power steered wheels in the asphalt, by turning the wheels to the right after the car is stopped make some really weird noises that seem synchronized with my keyboard or something. Sounds like moving stuff around but i'm not sure. She does that frequently when she's at home. Monday she "forgot" the TV on all morning after she or somebody else made a big noise and woke me up at 6 am after 5 hours of sleep. That day and the following i was really like a zombie.

Yesterday no Tuesday was gardening day at my neighbors. By the pool. Almost 5 hours two power tools of over 100 dB each in the same time where trimming and blowing the fences and bushes. My ears where hurting, literally. And my brain was scrambled inside.

And then there's my down stairs neighbor. The Italian looking guy. The apartment underneath is vacated since last September. One more level down. The guy smokes some slow burning natural untreated cigarettes that smell really really bad. When he leaves for work i think, before noon, he opens the bedroom window and then i have to close mine. Depending on the wind, sometimes it comes from the other way, from the kitchen. I have to be very careful opening the windows cause it can get worse.

A few days ago i looked at a small ball of mineral insulation from the attic with a strong magnifying glass. Actually with a camera lens pulled out of the camera. Among fibers i say tiny maybe a few hundredth of a mm tar or rubber particles, or both. That explains the hellish smell of the attic, combined with cigarette smoke. Especially when it gets hot like today at 110F. The tiles of the roof are made of bitumen and sand. There's washed out bitumen and sand from the tiles in the gutters.

By the time my wife got home a quarter to midnight i almost fainted. I opened the balcony door to get some air and the neighbor was having a glass of some alcoholic drink visible on the side of the balcony. I opened the bottle, poured myself a shot of rum and tried not to faint until my wife gets home. Then when she entered the door a few minutes later i got better as i always do. Drink or not. Then she got mad and threw my 12 dollar bottle of rum i risked my life for in the sink. She never done that before. I didn't want to argue too much especially because the voice of the neighbor in the balcony speaking on the phone "got scared". I went to the supermarket and bought some beer, again avoiding a cohort of mostly small and old and smelly cars that were showing out of nowhere at this hour in every intersection. All liquor stores are closed after ten. I was actually tempted of stopping and enter in a bar, i saw the Lure was opened. Never been in a bar before since 1995 when i came here. Only once in a restaurant where they serve alcoholic beverages. No, i once had a beer at Spaghetti Old Factory.

But now i don't feel like drinking anymore. Maybe watch some TV and go to sleep. Ok, i opened a bottle of beer and reread and corrected typos and mistakes of what i wrote before. Now i think i begin to feel like a philosopher again.

Mysteries of the Attic II

@11 PM Monday 8-20. All "weekend" i've been very tired. The apartment was slowly filling with some sort of smoke, kinda like cigarettes but not only. Sunday around midnight i tried to start my Holmes True Hepa filter with three 20 dollars each sub-micronic fiberglass filters (two of them are 2 month old and i vacuum them weekly) and multiple carbon prefilters. It was smelling like burnt oil.

So i went into the attic to see what's going on. Two of the one way valves where stuck open, the one at my bathroom exhaust and the one for the attic. (I installed four 4 inch valves under one of the 6 inch vents, those designed for laundry driers, one for each exhaust and one for the attic). In top of those just under the vent there is a computer fan. The fan was stopped since the last few days i saw the attic valve open and i thought because of the heat there is too much thermal flow already. But the valve was stuck open. So the bad smell from the attic and the smoke from my neighbor was back flowing in the bathroom. (The valve at the other end of the pipe above the bathroom shown above was bent as well.) But i noticed there was a lot of dust inside the pipe near the valve. I quickly fixed those and suddenly the air in the apartment was much clearer and i started feeling better too.

So i came back inside and i opened the filter fan and i saw one of the bearings overheated and all the oil burned out and spread inside the housing. I oiled those 1 cm inner diameter bearings with motor oil and cleaned the housing. Like i did last year. They got some rings with cotton inside where you put the oil. The bronze bearings were tight, no sign of wearing. I started the filter, at 2 AM i went to bed.

AT 6:30 my wife went to work and i woke up and started thinking of what i saw last night in the attic. I went back in there with a dust mask and looked inside that pipe. It had a huge amount of dust with oil in it. And it was smelling like burnt oil. Probably because i oiled the tiny motor of the fan in the bathroom because it was too noisy. Those bearings have a inner diameter of about 5 mm and i never saw them wearing out. So i took the whole thing apart, whased the 3 meter 3 inch flexible pipes with laundry detergent in the ... bathtub eliminated an extra piece of 2 meters of pipe (it was way too long), inside, with a brush tied to a stick, and put it back together in about 3 hours. I was completely exhausted with no power left to breath. I couldn't read on the computer monitor. I was thinking about going to the hospital but in the end i fell asleep for a little bit.

I've been thinking, when planes go around at 70 mph with the flaps down and the engine revved up as they are so much doing these days they can vibrate those pipes and valves and make all that dust to back-flow in the bathroom. But the fan under the vent sucks everything out of the pipes and creates a negative pressure in them. But the fan was stopped in the last few days.

I just remembered those Harleys @midnight last night at the appartment complex across the street thundering for minutes, it seemed like they would never stopped their engines after they arrived.

(Or the dust blowers in the parking lot going for hours on Tuesday and blowing asphalt dust in the attic too.)

When i moved here that flexible pipe from the bathroom exhaust was laying on the attic floor where is the intake for the attic, opening above the kitchen window and i moved it near the others near the 6 inch vent in the top of the roof. (There is a 3 inch chimney too for it going through the roof but ... only outside! Nothing inside, just the plywood.)

The @20 year old dishwasher just stoped. And it smells like burnt oil too. I think i should oil those pump motor bearings but i'm gonna look for some bearing oil with pressure additives and no detergent or maybe i should try white mineral oil, from what i just read on the internet, motor oil is not good for electric motor hydro-static bearings.

There is no way metal came out of those axles inside those fan motors. It is possible from the dishwasher or the microwave/exhaust in the kitchen, but from what i remember when i washed that turbine from the microwave there was no play at the axle when i re-installed it. At the Holmes filter most of the load from the turbine is axial and there is a tiny teflon washer that takes that load and it's still there.

But there is a huge number of planes flying above usually under legal altitude limits. There was one that passed in just a few seconds at 1 PDT today, at low speed and probably just above the roof. The cars at @5 PM are in the hundreds per hour although it is not justified by the number of houses or size of the street.

The skin on my face, hands, legs, seems very tight. I noticed that every time i come in contact all day with these bad smells.

By the way my wife just tried to open the balcony door and there is still a barbecue going on (it was before i started writing this). And every time when i go in the balcony a car comes on the alley from nowhere and a small plane flies above!

Talking about vacuum, one day the flexible hose was too dirty inside and washed it in the tub. (I cover one end and extend it in the tub filled with a few inches with water until no dirty water comes out of it.) Then i didn't want to wait until it completely dried and used it like that. And then i saw the dust was sticking inside. Two of the filters and the collector are washable anyways and then i started vacuuming the apartment with the "wet method", cleaning the hose in the tub every few minutes or so. There is no dust coming out of it and all the dirt gathers in the tub and i just flush it! Then i removed all filters but one and still no dust is coming out of it, but the cleaning power is about three times bigger! It really sucks the s... out of the carpets.

Mysteries of the Attic, Revealed II

Ok. This has gotten pretty complicated so i'm going to try to summarize. About one year after i moved here, intrigued by smell, dust, sound of belts of cars starting, i popped the attic lid that was made of drywall with popcorn on it. One corner was cracked. Too bad back then i didn't take pictures of everything.

None of the three pipes from all levels did have an individual passage through the roof. Mine was laying on the floor like this blowing insulation and smell above the kitchen window and in the parking lot and the other two were hanging near an airing vent, partially evacuating the smell in the attic.

First i replaced the lid with i guess 3/4 inch white laminated fiberboard to which i attached two hooks. Later i added an alarm to it (and it was effective, for a while).

I put all three bathroom exhaust together with a fan on top near a vent and enclosed it. I made an enclosure too for the 6" kitchen exhaust. After many trials it all started looking like this:

All three pipes in the first of two picture above have dampers at the end near the vent. There is one more damper preventing backlow in the attic.

Today they look different. I attached some pieces of rubber pipes in the end for attenuating vibrations.

After the neighbors downstairs let their exhaust fans running for years and creating all sort of problems, i moved my pipe near my kitchen exahust with some dampers preventing backflow both in the attic and in the bathroom exhaust. The kitchen 6" exhaust pipe does not have a damper at the end but has one near the lower end on top of the present mold evacuation system (not seen in last picture). The polystiren foam adapter for that damper broke and i replaced it Monday with a plywood ring.

Today i moved back my exhaust pipe near the other two since currently the bathroom fan downstairs is running less than an hour a day like it's supposed to. This way there can be no suspicion that i'm using it to pump stuff back in the kitchen exhaust and into the floor but there will be that i'm using to pump air back in the other two bathroom exhaust but there are two dampers on each of those, one installed by me at the upper end as seen in the pictures and one near each fan. (All three pipes are fitted and connected symmetrical with dampers and everything). But to me there is no doubt to me they will adapt and will come with more insinuating actions like last night leaving the window cracked. Cause they are http://georgesblogforfriends.blogspot.com/2012/01/kaiser-khazaria-and-lenin.html Now, featuring ninja.

The two 1.5 pipes hanging near the attic damper where the fan pulls air from the attic insuring the airing at all times are connecting to the two exhaust pipes' housing from the lower levels, as some of the pipes are leaking. Airing those housings, through thermal flow only.

The fan in the picture below is now above my stove in the place normally used for the kitchen exhaust, that is the lower end of the 6" pipe seen in the pictures above and turns counterclockwise as most BLCD (BrushLess DC) computer (not laptop) fans do http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brushless_DC_electric_motor . (BLCD is an improper name, they are actually AC motors with a built in inverter). It is part of the system that pulls with two 1.5" flexible hoses air from the floor, behind the fridge, where there's been a leak and near the bathroom. Initially built last November for eliminating mold from floor after a leak, i keep it running now for eliminating smoke (probably cigarette) that for some reason is present in floor and kitchen wall common with the next entrance) near the fridge.

Computer fans can't turn the other way because they are actually synchronous AC motors with a built in invertor (improperly named BLCDs). By inverting the polarity of the power supply they simply won't start.
One more thing before i forget. I might be wrong, but there is one passage visible from the parking lot, a chmney like 3 or 4 inch thick structure somewhere above the kitchen that doesn't seem to have a correspondent in the attic.

This is the last configuration as of 03/04/2015 10 AM
03/05/2015 @7 PM

04/06/2015 I discovered this: Just above the kitchen, the exhaust 6" pipe sits next to the hot water pipe that goes left to the kitchen and right to the bathroom. The tape was all dried and not sealing anymore. Parts of it came easily. The remaining one was put by me more recently, however that is not a good job either, is very hard to work, you have to kinda sit on your knees beacause the roof is too close. So i poured two cans of Great Stuff Fire Block that actually does not extend as much as the cheaper foam. It covered almost to the last fold of the pipe. I'm gone keep an eye on to see if the foam does not bend a pipe or cracks a solder joint or something but i don't think it's possible in open space.

The whole pipe was covered with an insulation blanket; every time i was using the exhaust stuff was getting in it. This spring when it got hot the first time it was stinking really bad, i went in the attic and removed the blanket from the top of the pipe. But there is one more thing. During the night time the pipe was cooling (in the morning i have to leave the water to run like one whole minute). Since everything was covered with an insulating blanket, i assume the whole pipe was heating and cooling loosing heat but also dilating and contracting, with the folds opening and closing. Quite a piece of engineering. Also cannot understand why they didn't use that T at the right the other way and save an elbow. Just to make the hot water pipe run under the elbow of the exhaust?

Apollo Portable Life Support. Questions

https://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/ALSJ-FlightPLSS.pdf

So far. Life Support mainly cools the astronaut and supplies oxygen. Central part is the sublimator, a porous piece of metal that is fed with water from a reservoir. Piece of metal is "cooled by sublimation" of water from pores in vacuum to which is exposed.

Both gas for breathing and water for cooling the astronaut go through that plate and cool. Coolant temperature is regulated with a engine like thermostat and diversion of the flow.

PLSS itself needs to be cooled. Gas flowing around the astronaut also flows around the components of the PLSS, which is under the same pressure.

«This “gas cooled” PLSS used ventilation gas that circulated around the astronaut’s body and through the PLSS for cooling the astronaut and removing heat generated by the PLSS.»

The sublimator's vent only need to be exposed to outside vacuum. Can't understand from next picture how this is done since i don't see any seals between cover and sublimator and probably the other half of the cover that is missing from the next picture.

Cooling water is absorbed at the outer area of the sublimator by moon's vacuum and inside the reservoir by gravity and vacuum. However there is no thermal regulation (thermostat) for how much cooling water gets through it. Since liquid coolant temperature is regulated through diversion thus varying flow inside the sublimator which is not thermally regulated, it is very possible for it to freeze at low flow.

Water needs to boil inside the sublimator's pores in order to cool anything.

I anticipate water vapor coming out of the millions of tiny pores in the sublimator's plate and through that vent as gas at the speed of sound would make a terrible hissing that was going to be audible in the suit through the umbilical chords, and also blow that cover off.
On this image found on a different side it is shown the vent of the sublimator, though at the other side or "inside" of the "back pack", next to astronaut's suite.
More about NASA's sublimator from PLSS. The way they say it should work. First, water gets through the pores as sucked by the vacuum outside. Then it turns into ice and ice turns into vapor (otherwise they wouldn't call it a sublimator). And it all should happen at the surface of the plate that is exposed to vacuum. Otherwise freezing water inside the pores would damage it and/or water vapor from sublimation would come outside again at the speed of sound.

However freezing is an exothermic process. By freezing, water needs to loose heat in the environment. That wouldn't help with the cooling of the plate.

Of course sublimation loose more heat than boiling. However, in this case, you have to add that heat to the water in order to freeze it first. So nothing is lost, nothing is gained in the end compared to if evaporation would have occurred directly, without freezing first.

Then if sublimation occurs at the surface of the ice the porous plate won't loose much heat cause ice is a thermal insulator (frost cover coils inside freezers, before frost fee freezers, remember).

Also if freezing occur at the surface or even inside the pores, how more water is going to circulate through the sublimator anymore?

All it remains is water needs to evaporate inside the pores in order to absorb heat. But then it would blow away through the pores at the speed of sound as any gas released in vacuum. And you couldn't call it a sublimator anymore. You would call it a rocket engine.

Powder LiOH canister wich removes the CO2 by forming Li2CO3 has a limited capacity which decreases with the amount of CO2 stored. All oxygen supplied to the astronaut "enriches" with carbon from astronauts excretion through breathing and the amount of CO2 in the end should be heavier and bulkier than the O2 in the cylinder though much water comes out of the reaction.

Even if you have enough LiOH in the canister, corresponding to using the whole amount of oxygen, after let's say half or the LiOH being combined with CO2 the absorption capacity through reaction should diminish.

CO2 (g) + 2LiOH (s) -> Li2CO3 (s) + 3 H2O (l)

October 29

9:14 I wrapped a plied wet towel around vacuum hose to make for the diameter and applied it on the dryer's vent while he was drying upstairs. Though the flow increased a lot when vacuum was on, it went back down when i removed it which leads me to the conclusion that he simply never cleaned the dryer's filter, which explains why after a month since he moved, the drying process started to last longer and longer. The vacuum sucked the flap which came out of its place (don't really understand how, don't think there was enough force, unless if it was already out of one of the two retainers). Went to put the flap back but turned around to grab a mirror (the vent is covered by some sort of rain cover and can't see unless you bend down really low) when a car came at high speed and stopped in the spot right next to the vent, but i was already inside when he came. A gray Honda with a guy i saw around here before, looking Japanese, dressed in a red hoodie pulled over his head inside the car. He left in about 5 minutes and i went to put back the flap.

5:14 Last night i applied online for a trip permit for the car however it could not be done online sooner than 4 days, so it starts on Tuesday. When i went to pick the mail they were a variety of different shows going on, really crowded, one that caught my eye was a vehicle with a trip permit. Only because i was thinking i could have that one in the mail already? Or because i wish one? Both? I mean, it would not be impossible, if they ship it automatically right away, but i guess the reason for the 7 days delay is the mail.

Picked from the locker the two dent pulling kits. Though i canceled them, Amazon shiped them. Today i decided to keep them just in case they don't start on my car real soon, and that is before i get the trip permit. With the kits, i could easily pull the dents here. I mean, i apply a pad with hot glue and use the handle to pull it. No noise, no nothing. In the end, i could go in a parking lot and paint the side of the car with spray cans like i did with the Nissan. Use some clear coat this time, to make it last. Trouble is, there is peeled paint on the hood, which looks replaced from the first accident, and need to paint that one as well.

7:43 About 15 minutes ago. Was anxious about trying the dent pulling kit and went to try it on a dent on my old truck. Hot glue smells real nice like pine resin. Some guy with a diesel engine came and started maneuvering in the empty spot next to mine (guy upstairs left at 9:30 and came at 7:30 in the evening). Then another car came and started to honk at the first one though it was obvious he was about to leave. I went real loud. WTF? Then it turned the car that just came was the guy upstairs. I took my tools, including  the glue gun inside. He is now upset? Not even squeaking? How can he manage one time not to squeak while he does it all the other times?

8:12 Pulled the dent out, in about half hour with the 48 dollars kit. Dent was smooth, about  5-7 mm deep on a 10x10 cm area. From pressing my hand when closing the hood? Doesn't need anything else before painting (maybe sanding the edges of the old paint), the edges of the paint that i applied myself a while ago from a can went first, primer is still there). Tricks. You have to apply the hot glue on the dent, not on the pad and then apply the pad real quick. You have to let it cool for at least one minute. Don't need to clean the pad, can go layer after layer, glue sticks to previous layer on the pad which accelerates the process dramatically. BTW. Can't clean it with alcohol from the pad as they say, from the car it just pops if you pull that handle real hard. I don't think it's much slower than "classical method" with welded sticks and a slide hammer, but a lot less messy (no need to clip the metal sticks and sand the area). I think it would have worked in an area with original paint, without damaging it, if it wasn't already damaged.

8:35 Still no squeaks from upstairs, just some real loud cursing in Sanish. OK, a bit of squeaks and he started the drier.

Nothing Without Mold

I might have figured another aspect of what happened today upstairs. At the end of last week i caught a cold weather spell and filmed the vapor coming out of the vent for upstairs drier and going into the basement, because of codes being broken when they installed those vents. Thought they could have installed the vents right out the walls, like in other buildings, they passed the pipes trough basement and installed them right on top of basement vents, while the code says should not be installed 3 ft closer then other features of the building. Pipes where broken in the basement anyways, i went one night and fixed them, and right after they came and installed the new covers, that blow the vapors directly into the basement. That was about two years ago. Back then i went and looked. This is the only place in the complex that this is happening.

I think it was Saturday evening when i removed that corrugated plastic which was not helping in case wind was creating pressure blowing against the window, cause a flow was established and moisture still going into the basement around that piece of plastic. Once in the basement, moisture will condensate on the floor making it bulge, helping create mold inside. They were places with up to one inch bulges. Instead i put two small transparent plastic sheets covering the vents.

There was only one load of laundry done Sunday, as opposed to more than five a week ago. No laundry this Thursday morning as well which is a first. However, the shaman came to "fix" the laundry machine upstairs. I did not hear when it started today after that. Because the machine was made much more quiet. However when Angela came i had to go to move the truck back at the street cause it was on our only spot here forgot to find a place for it. But when i got out, i felt the smell of laundry and went to look to see if those plastic sheets are in place. One of them was, but the one right under the vent upstairs blowing downwards. Those once put in are hard to remove (i tried with one).

It seemed they went to great length trying to undo what i done, that is, enforcing the code, because, i once read something about ninjutsu and especially the kuji-in part of it make use of mold, possibly as a medium, similar with black magic. Truth is mold creates among other things, nasal congestion and a high, making you much less sharp and responsive or more docile and suggestible.

March 30

1:51 One of the reasons westerners hate so much Russians is the names. Russians don't have a clue, to them they sound right. Let's show a few.

Lenin - leaning (John Lennon, le_non sau len_non, Imagine, no possessions, no religion)

Stalin - stalling

Khrushchev - crushes

Sputnik - sput, spot

Duma - dumb, doom

Moscow - moss, cow

Russia - rush ya (Rush Limbaugh, or Limbo, the man who created Trump, Putin's admirer)

Krasota - CrassGross

Ruble - rubble, trouble (the rubbles of our sins)

bol'shoy - balls shy

Lavrov - love rogue

On the other hand, people in opposition or opposing ex Soviet Union have names that sound nice in English or at least neutral.

Tolstoi - tall stay

Navalny - Navy

Nemtzov - tov

Gorbatchev - Gore

Eltsin - Elton

Rada - Rad

iKiev - IKEA

etc..

I strongly believe this can't be a coincidence, there are too many of the most known. Conspiracy is much deeper and much older than most people can imagine. We were born within it, our parents were born within it, our grand parents, grand grand parents etc.. Are we going to ever snap out of it? with the internet we might have a chance, and we should not waste it with viral cats.

11:20 Putin on my mind. Was watching carefully this video trying to figure a start point for a link and then what did i see. The guy on the left has a mask on the back of his head, and the mask looks like Putin? Sorry i'm not able to figure the meaning of it. Searching for  more uploads of this video. Yeah, it looks the same. Spooky.

12:34 The inspection team has passed. Don't know if the guy's upstairs drier has been fixed, nowadays he's not spinning anymore more than once per load though the flow outside at the vent is low. However, after visiting his place, inspection team or others attempted to go in the basement to maybe fix the vent? After making big noises on the side of building, not sure if they succeeded, cause SAGE when they did the siding (when was that, two, three years ago?) they put on basement lid screws with star shaped heads, not suitable for an ordinary screwdriver. But didn't they see that?

They were some graffiti since maybe a couple of weeks ago on the next building (I think they were mentioning the word China). This morning somebody went and painted over but with a paint similar in color to my touch up mix i bought from Home Depot.

11:04 Yet another thing that shouldn't exist. Like the dark web. People should understand, there's infrastructure and big money involved that dictates these things that BTW we all pay for it (big money could not exist without the small people that feed them). In the case of Trump, yes, would have been possible if any of the numerous security services of this country did not exist. Or do they.

11:23 Another beautiful woman in a brand new uniform carrying something... what is that? While

Actors in both cases.

April 28

7:35 I read the news, oh boy! Is getting more and more complicated or Shogun (book) like.

Following my post, Moldova (Maia Sandu, Recean, whatever) created a semantic diversion, by banning Putin in Moldova.

Moldova is a small country east of Romania that have been at times part of Romania and at times part of Russian empire and Soviet Union. Official language is Romanian but there is a strong Russian minority, of which many of them came during Soviet Union. But there's more, like inside Matryoshka dolls. There's a country smaller than Moldova (unrecognized internationally except by Russia) east of Moldova where there are stationed Russian troops and a huge Soviet era decaying ammo depot.

Putin through Medvedev is now threatening (again) Moldova as response to Maia's unnecessary provocation. Medvedev doesn't have right now any official position within Russian Government or whatever that is.

I really hope the Russian people are going to get tired of the madmen real soon. But i doubt they really got any word to say in governing of their country.

9:38 Unannounced work at the building. Pressure washing with big noise. Retaliation for yesterday? That vacuum pump barely makes any noise.

10:55 Went to Walmart to buy pads and vaseline for my wounds. I did not realize how nauseated i was until i got in the car. While i was trying to park, a car with WA LPN came from behind and cut in front of me and parked in the spot in front of where i was aiming. The driver looked Asian, the passenger white, curly and muscular. I didn't say nothing.

Inside the store. An 80 years old woman was arranging stuff on the shelves. I could not find the Vaseline and she was kinda blocking my way and i asked. Though dressed in Walmart uniform, she said she's not working for Walmart however she pulled the phone and asked the pharmacist who was within reach at the counter. Found it about in the same time she showed me.

But at the exit. A 90 years old man was extending his hand like asking for my receipt, but when i tried to hand it he said you're ok you're ok while the hand was forgotten extended...

Here. Though it says on the noisy van, i don't think he's washing the buildings. All i could see so far is he's moving from one building to another with a long red hose and a tall ladder.

Because of all the distractions in the store i didn't get the right pads... The absorbent ones jus... absorbs the ointments i put on... Ordered some on Amazon, delivery today.

11:17 After absorbing, now reverse psychology (anybody knows since?, maybe after i started with my matches, in 2014 and the blog in 2018)... Hungary controls the EU and together with Japan the whole world...

11:54 I actually went and looked what he was doing... He used a power tool  to clean the dryer's vents. Numerous semantic coincidences with what i just wrote yesterday. Compressor, vent.

Then i went in the park by the time he left. On my way there i figured. My end of the drying vent is plugged inside so cold air won't get in in the winter, because i dry on closed circuit, as i wrote in numerous occasions, probably starting with this... It's got several advantages, one of them is it uses recirculated dried very clean air. The dog or cat smell from the previous owner that used the water heater pan as litter box at least doesn't get as much in the laundry... Less energy.

In fact they do sell now closed circuit ventless heat pump dryers. But they are very expensive. Mine cost 100 dollars the window AC at the core of it and 25 dollars pipes and plastic boxes i used for adapters.

No. First version was this.

12:17 Some of the pipes are leaking in the basement and i really hope he did not create more leaks. Vapors from the unusual design are wetting the floor under and the upper fiberboard part of the floor is always bulged in places, especially under the couch. But i remember last time they did it themselves, the team at the apartment, using power drills and rotating brushes. Two weeks after i fixed the pipes myself.

1:53 I composed this during my walk. As a conclusion to all i wrote before and a point of start for a new point of view.

I know what happened. God got angry with them. The place was heating up. The monkeys were trying to move North but they could not cross the Mediterranean.

So they gathered an army and went up North to conquer some vital space. There they opposed massive resistance from the part of locals. Kurukshetra war. They were defeated and moved to uninhabited places or with less resistance like Nepal and Nippon.

Some remained and were fascinated with another idea. God gave them a sign, a white blond blue eyed person was born. So they remained, trying to better high bread themselves into a better race. More honest, hard working, athletic, white blue eyed blond people thinking they will please god.

But we all know what the problems of inbreeding are. So god did not get pleased and they had to move together with their myths and lesser gods way up North, in Scandinavia (Svarga loca). They miscalculated though and moved too far north anticipating more heating up but the Milankovitch cycle peaked up.

One late branch arrived from Australia, were the Egyptians were originally from. After generations of roaming in Asia the descendants of Attila and his horde established in Panonia which name somehow bears resemblance to their language, Pama Nyungan and the word for Penguin. The penguin on Attila's shield. After that, Buddha's bettered people came from Nepal and together they gave birth to the Hungarian people as we know it. Maybe not so well cause the list of Hungarian actors include lots of genetic material from Europe, stolen or invited in Hungary.

All the three branches somehow sniffed each other and realized they are the same. Rest is recent history. America was still unoccupied. Back to their own style, slavery to create huge fortunes to beat Europe. WWI, II, Asian wars and now Ukrainian war to bring the inferior race to obedience.

5:12 Method for checking AC system valves for leaks, other tips.

It's about that time of the year. I remember the trouble i've been through last year when i decided to do it myself, because of not having much experience with ACs. Here is all i know now about it.

Buy new caps (from Amazon) that have rubber o-rings inside. Those hold a bit of pressure as well. Run the AC for about 5 minutes. Slowly untighten the caps and listen. If you hear a tiny hiss at one of them voila. You found your leak.

But wait there's more. You can replace a valve while keeping the freon inside the system. In fact, it's best to do it like that. You can check the new valve right away. There is a tool for that. Just make sure you have to right tip for the valves you're using.

When you add freon R134a you have to add PAG46 oil. There are various methods but some brands come in pressurized cans and you do it as you would with freon, no extra tools needed. Question is how much.

There are rudimentary tools to check for oil presence in the system but you can only check if you have and not how much you have (test results depends on how long you press the plastic tube against the valve and experience of the DIY-er). In the video above the color of the oil is abnormal or maybe there is a UV die in the system and it fluoresces a bit in normal light. Oil should be clear.

BTW you should not use refrigerant (freon) that is advertised as sealing leaks. Those are additives that swell your rubber parts. Trouble is the small cans like in the video above with "straight" freon come in 320 ml cans and most cars use 500 ml (check the manual or label under hood). But you can go by pressure. Charge a little, stop the engine and look at the gauge for the combined pressure (average between low and high). Should be in the yellow area of the gauge or around 70. Ten degrees more temperature outside mean almost 20 psi more. Or weigh the second can on a digital scale like i did.

The system has a pressure switch and the compressor would not start under a certain pressure, for protection of the compressor. But if the pressure was zero for some time and one of the valve was loose, moisture gets in it and saturates the silica beads that are hold in a sac and in a tube on the circuit. Mold would start growing inside that would survive the hell of freon under pressure and at high and low temperatures and then with tiny leaks contaminate all car. At this point you have to use a vacuum pump to boil and remove the moisture and make sure you do not add freon with air in the  system which will lower efficiency.

November 12

4:10 Wipe-outs. Banksy vs Bankman and now Batman. AJR.

4:21 It is true. They can also heal. But how. Like any trick, it's only temporary, by boosting your hormones.

Everybody remembers. After puberty, after all the pains of growing follows the magic period of a hormonal storm that naturally lasts up until 40s in average people and almost indefinitely in people that have an ideal nutrition and not so much stress. It is similar to salmon's run, though people live past that.

However when this overdrive period ends, your body starts to fail, from being over-stressed for so long.

And here comes the dog of Gula, the goddess of healing in ancient Mesopotamia.

To this day they use dogs as therapy. It is known they sometimes bring dogs for petting sessions in psychiatric wards.

Don't know exactly how it works, but they may boost hormones or enzymes to levels like at the beginning of your youth. Or T Gondii, the parasite that produces dopamine. No wonder they thought and still believe to this day dogs are magic.

But again like many times before, one search threw me way off course and my mind wondered so much i simply forgot why i opened this thread. I think i found something i was looking for a longtime. The origin of the symbol of the City of Lake Oswego. The symbol of the rainbow serpent (which became Nut in Egpt) in Ancient Mesopotamia. Nungal. It's just too much for now.

One thing everybody has to realize. There is too much ancient magic in public and private life and media nowadays, we got to shake some of it before we totally choke.

5:06 Yesterday i finally washed the comforter in the bedroom. 3 times washing with hot water, 2 times rinse with hot water, one with cold. Could not realy turn the spindle of the washer because comforter was too big, i kept pushing downwards until i got tired. Worked on that one, drying and washing, intermittently the whole day.

Was still stinking after one wash, two washes, etc.. I think got re-contaminated from that one (that got contaminated after months or years of dog poop smell from outside, can't remember when i did it last time, thing is hard to dry). Thing is now i got again the magic in me, my gut smells like it, i'm nauseated, took a charcoal, went outside to search for the magic but couldn't smell or find any (the grass is also covered by leaves). Which is good cause i don't like to handle those.

However what i found was a kid's bike next to curb in front of our entrance. A newer more expensive one than in the past. I know from experience that nobody comes to pick those of which i saw several in the past and i just took it next to the bin.

5:40 Cuțuvencii. I think their AI got so good by now they can predict what i'm going to say and do for hours or days. Here in his current poem posted 4 days ago Dinescu writes metaphorically about two breads that of course represent Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Don't even want to think who's the drunk priest uh huh.

6:07 Anii 70. My bad.

8:08 Was about to fall asleep when from next door they hit the wall. Exactly in that moment, not very loud, but loud enough prevent me from falling asleep. They did it twice. They used to in the past, not recently. Also i figured it is not only the guy upstairs who dries dirty laundry. I think they dried unwashed dog's laundry and the vent is not far from ours and under the siding as well. There are dog's hair on the grill of the vent.

2:52 These days i kept telling Angela how satisfied i was with the Chromebook "don't know how an Apple laptop is but this one is probably comparable, certainly an alternative for the expensive Apple" etc. while Angela's Windows based Lenovo all in one (computer in a monitor) was going slower and slower though i used all the trick i knew to fix it.

BTW i gave up the monitor and keyboard and mouse i initially (after my old PC went out) i attached to it and now i do it all on my lap as i got used to the keyboard and pad. Angela said she wanted a Chromebook like mine but if possible with 100 dollars on Black Friday. But guess what. Today Lenovo gave up the ghost (won't power anymore). And she does on it all the banking and bill pay. But guess what. I'm not fretting about. Other than checking the power supply. I hope she will decide to get a chromebook this weekend. I hope Windows and Microsoft will disappear soon from the face of this Earth.

5:55 Never mind that. Angela convinced me to fix the Lenovo. It took me a while to figure how to open it since they were not visible screws. Found a video (good thing people do keep up with figuring how to open the innumerable devices made in China), did slide a panel and voila. The thing was exposed to me. What i found. The board with the on/off switch have fallen inside. Because the screws that were holding the frame inside were loose with some completely fallen.

It was back in 2018 in my first or second trip to SW. Didn't have a laptop back then so i put the Lenovo in its box and in the trunk. Then i hit a 10 cm pot hole (asphalt stripped by construction work with a small hand written panel as signal) at 80 mph on I5 somewhere in NoCal. One ore two sockets of the screws holding the frame broke (they were rattling inside when i was moving the thing). Rest of them got loose probably from vibration after?

Heat sink's radiator was completely clogged with dust. The processor (variable speed) was throttling down while the fan was making that annoying wind like sound. But it happened sudden, after one trip. Computer was only 1 or 2 years old. Do i have any excuse for not fixing it for so long? Yes, dog poop and smoke from outside. But there's one thing i don't understand. Why didn't they make a sliding panel on top of the fan so you can remove it and clean the radiator. They never do. You wanna know why? Yes because they wanna sell more, not having us clean them.

I cleaned it, tightened all the screws and voila. It works like new. The present for Angela's birthday. So it wasn't a Windows thing but i don't apologize, i still hate them.

About 2-3 weeks ago i gave up the monitor, mouse and keyboard and started working directly on the laptop and my abdominal pain intensified to the point i couldn't take it no more. It is obvious this laptop though performant, puts out microwaves.

My Last ER Visit

The date on the ECG. December 1st 2010. That day i cleaned the heaters (Baseboard, Cadet),  (i discovered a method, i turn them to the maximum and sprinkle clean hot water on them while hot and they make some steam, some bad smell but get cleaned really well). http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-6-ft-1-500-Watt-240-Volt-Electric-Baseboard-Heater-White-6F1500W/100080894

After eating almost an entire cake (2 pounds), 2 liters of coke, ice-cream, and other junk food, i went to bed around 10. Couldn't fall asleep, felt like fainting. I used my life-saver oximeter and it was showing the oxygen level in normal limits, then i fell asleep, but opened my eyes one more time and i saw on the monitor the oxygen level was 89. I felt like i was about to pass out and jumped out of bed, into my truck and drove to Providence. Nobody on 217 at that our except a fire engine that went all the way to Providence with me and was putting out diesel smoke pretty bad. Went to the ER, took a number and sat on a sofa. I thought i saw a face i knew from a Romanian video, a Romanian singer that died before 2006 in an accident. She smiled at me then (she was dressed very summarily, in a short t-shirt and very low under belly jeans, asked me if i had change for a 20 or i did asked her can't remember, then put a jacket on and left.) Then i saw another person that looked like a different Romanian singer i knew from videos with a t-shirt with the word Roxy written with big letters with pink glitter. I spoke with her and she had a hand held something and she was answering with very few words after consulting that thing. I sat under an air conditioner vent for hours with the oximeter on my finger until i wanted to go to the bathroom. So i went, and when i came out i was about to faint again, but a guy with a note-pad with some papers picked me up and took me inside the ER. In the room was smelling very pungent, like menthol but stronger. They hooked me to the ECG machine and produced what you can see above. They motivated by the fact that one or some of the wires were not hooked properly. In a hospital like that, an ECG cost maybe 200 dollars, but they were kind enough to forgive my debt, together with all the costs for that ER trip, months later. When i told them later about the smell, they picked a piece of cotton from a counter-top and threw it away and the smell was gone. They told me i was ok and sent me home. In my way home when  i got off Barbur Blvd into Luradel some guy opened the cars window and spat at me. I went home and slept two hours until my wife got home.

November 28

1:50 She did laundry before she left. Her drier vent is under my wall and window. I think it could be only detergent from laundry that has not been rinsed enough. The symptoms (which i felt before many times but never made a connection) are tightness of skin around eyes, neck ankles and calves.

8:00 Can't turn off sound notifications in Windows 10 no matter how many hours i waste trying to find  the setting. Went outside to take the garbage, there is a chocking smoke around the building. Upstairs is quiet but they dry a third load of laundry.
