7:42 This is about what i wrote yesterday about that motel in Florence.

I remember i worked one day only for a guy in Rome who was remodeling and apartment in historic Villa Borghese, carrying marble slabs upstairs for remodeling a 300 years old maybe apartment. The walls were one meter thick and the streets were really narrow. I think i heard them talking. The price tag was one million (euro, dollars, whatever).

This is where i lived in an area for working people. Yeah i know from the pictures you can't tell the difference. But inside, they were comfortable, quiet and had marble on the floors instead of wall to wall carpet nailed to the floor.

Absolutely no smells.

It is nostalgic to go to the same motel after 25 years. But motels in the US are not built with marble or even concrete. They are made of wood like most American buildings with inner "drywall" panels that bend and crack. Some have nail holes or even spaces from initial constructions like behind appliances and the interior communicates with the inside of the wall, which sometimes is better cause if air doesn't get in those insides, then it gets much worse.

In most places is Oregon nothing has been built since 1995 or when i came here. Same old same old everywhere. But Americans aren't worried because they don't want to travel to Europe to see and if they do they go to places like Rome or Paris where the buildings are even older (that was a joke).

But i could never imagine the housing situation in the US. I left everything, sold my concrete made apartment in Bacău, closed by business and i have no way to return, especially when i look at the stunning politicians there. At least here, there is a trace of freedom left. In there all you can do to survive is to get in league with THEM. Especially now after what i wrote on my blogs THEY will probably eat me alive. Like some here too.

Don't get me wrong. The reason i put videos with lyrics is sometimes i cannot understand what these guys are singing, probably because they are not native English speakers. Wake up or make up?

8:27 Yeah i know i spoke freely about all these before i moved here in Tualatin and that was after i fixed a leak in the wall that created mold for 7 years. BTW there is a hole in the siding and wall at the other end of the building told management about years ago and every time i tape it someone comes and removes the tape a bit, just enough for rain to get in. Trying to de-generalize my situation?

After last rains, mold grew inside and now when the crazy ninja at 4 with the stinking Chrysler hits the wall once, the place fills with mold smell.

First i thought this song was for encouraging me, but today i realize it is reverse psychology and bullying and a lesson to all who try to do what i did. And yeah the gyms stink also, mostly like rubber from all the treadmills or chlorine from pools.


8:55 I am really sick. I am wearing a mask and moved the ozone generator from bathroom to the living though my eyes already hurt. Slept five hours, i'm really sleepy but i also feel like fainting. Hungry and nauseated in the same time.

I realized what happens. Weird strains of mold bred inside the wall with sulfur dioxide extraterrestrial atmosphere gets out through that hole ands seeds the wet rotting leaves on the ground and the air is unbreathable as right now. You can't see it but the wall with the hole is on the left.

I sit here at the old PC next to kitchen window and i don't remember seeing any one in the last hour or so. Just a nervous Asian Japanese mailman who was hitting the doors of the mailbox seen in the picture linked above and more mold came inside.

Though yesterday when i was at the car breathing smoke from i don't know where that was getting me high within one hour i saw 100 hundred people and cars all making noises and distracting me. And BTW my oil doesn't smell a bit like the oil under the Chrysler, almost got no smell when compared to that one.

9:18 Yeah it worked this time. The browser didn't crash when i took the code with starting point for the embedded video below (using share under youtube player). And they started to drag furniture and stomp upstairs. Because i said there was no one here.



10:30 Effectively canceling my thoughts with squeaks from upstairs. I switched to html mode but forgot what i wanted to add. One thing i remember. My eyes weren't hurting from ozone, they were hurting from mold and dust. As soon as i started the ozone and ion generator i got much better.

10:55 On a second thought. She was here again yesterday after a few days missing with all that smoke while i was working at the car. Never leaving their balcony, with the two others. Just staring at me. Earlier i heard the boy yelling in an unseen place like a monkey being eating alive by a huge snake in the jungle. And in reality, she is older than Alexa.

4:28 Got a new PC. Yeah i know Bela (Lugosi) Rising. Amazon delivered it in about 12 hours from ordering. Which means they had it in a warehouse in Portland. As big as a small book.

"Overall pick", "best value for money". Got six cores and 12 threads (666). If i saw that @year 2000 would have freaked out and didn't buy it.

For reason of already installed Ethernet cables it ended at Angela's. Already up and running (with a monitor, keyboard and mouse from the closet). LOL one day when i was cleaning i was  thinking of throwing it up LOL. It seems much faster. Can even play games on it. With the newest updates of W11 and Chrome, i can do it with Lenovo. Blogging that is.

Can't work at her desk either. It is much more exposed to the "elements" coming from under the (hidden) door (but she's only there a couple of hours max a day). Here i am downstream from the filter of which carbon elements i just replaced.

I believe this is one of the three orders i've been thinking and talking about for days. Another one is coming, third i never made (did have not time). Now i'm thinking where from to get that game with Sarah Morgan so i cam marry her to se what happens (that was a joke).

9:20 Was laying in bed for ten minutes when i decided to rise. I went and opened the door and patio sliding door to air the room. He was there "unloading groceries" accross the alley. The short muscular Buddha who shows here about once a month. Most likely a Japanese fighter of sorts.

1:10 Lots of bad news from my walk. I left through the back and first i saw a dog poop (didn't see those in a while, a new wave is starting?). Then i saw the hole in the wall, exposed again after the rains. The problem? The problem is it rains inside the wall which rots and then the whole building smells like mold. Also insulation dust is coming out of it. Was not inspired enough to take a picture above the plank separating the first and second floor, where all the patches i put resisted. This one that is in within reach i repatched twice. No i can't re-patch it because it's wet.

Almost one year has passed since last April when i did  those. They did the windows. They did some of the siding around windows but didn't fix those. Where it rains inside the wall.

They knew i saw it and waited with a load of laundry to dry so i got exposed while taking the picture. Which reminded me of the vents next to our apartments. Took some pictures just to show that at Apt.2 where mold smells come during drying something weird is going on, probably drying without the mesh. Strangely enough, the anti-poop announcement (xeroxed from the one they put on all dors after i complained) which i taped with scotch tape resisted. The patch on the hole was made with white Duck tape. Most of the redwood dust seen on the blue walls is made by the Wednesday blowers though.

Good thing i took pictures so i can look relaxed. It could be the forgotten rat trap under that vent catches mold inside too because of the vapor. Now i know why the put the lid of the extinguisher box there. To distract from perceiving the box.

1:35 I take the microwave meter with me everywhere. The alarm is set at 1. So far i discovered on my 3 miles loop "only" two "hot spots" in two different points around the hospital. One is at the end of the west parking lot. One is at east of the east parking lot. First one shows as tower, though unseen. Second is unidentified. At the first one i'm getting readings around five. But at the second which is next to a visibile tower, but not near it, where i didn't get much readings (i pulled the meter on purpose, alarm didn't sound), today i recorded up to 20 which is a lot. As much as from a cell phone at 1-2 ft distance during a call.

Many people don't know. Because at 4G the signal travels in all directions, the power decreases with the square of distance. 1000 mW next to the cell phone, 20 at 1 ft, next to nothing at 15 ft. Don't get me wrong. 20 is 20000 higher than normal "natural" background which is one though my meter cannot show less than that. How many calls do a cell tower simultaneously handles in average? I'd say it depends on the size, and this was a small one.

I don't know but today at 500 ft from it i got 20 mW which is enormous. A reading similar to the one at Safeway parking lot in Lincoln City and the upper level of the new Casino parking (and again not next to the tower near Grocery Outlet). But today the meter didn't identified the signal as cell tower. More like a... microwave oven? Which again, if it leaks like mine, should show almost nothing at 15 ft.

Could it be a defective microwave oven in one of those RVs parked in there?

Today i didn't get more exposed on some areas of the body like from making a 1 minute call, but for me it was enough. All the painful areas were activated and i think i solved the mystery as why lately after passing that point i got several times, within minutes, diarrhea symptoms. Because that signal irritates my bowel. Do people really live in those nearby houses? I bet some of the older ones have "irritable bowel syndrome". At least to say.

But his main base is the floating van, an old white van with JBQ LPN figuring a homeless van. About a week ago i started taking pictures with numbered spots the van occupies, but he realized and stopped after 3 positions. 

First it was next to garbage bin, where there is not a spot, then 11, then 7 and now  the van is there for a few days.

It is much easier for the ninja to get out of the van at night pretending peeing and roam around and arrange things like the rat trap than if he was inside one of the apartments or peel the tape of  the wall or stick burning stuff in the ground etc.. Moving the van in different positions every day ensures there are no traceable patterns in regular activities like sticking burning stuff in the ground.

I remember the first time when i complained about the van (on the blog) the next day a Police SUV came and a blond or read headed young tall Hungarian actor (which is weird cause all cops in Tualatin are bearded) figuring a Police officer went and talked to the same guy who occupies the van, acting as resident at Apt.3 who probably said the van was his which is true but in a different identity.

5:10 Up until today i thought Russians were the most isolated people on Earth, but i changed my mind, it's the Japanese. Of course their emperor is working, he's not real, he's a ninja, since before Edo period.

7:30 Generalized pain made me go outside and hose the AC. However that was not the problem. The problem was in the back they unnecessarily gutted the siding to the point they exposed the insulation under. They put some tape over that twisted. Was thinking. Even if they put a piece of siding to match the whole, it will never be sealed. Let's say i can seal it at my level with silicon, but what about the level above? How about the other apartments?

It was a trap. they put that flashing over insulation and a few hanging pieces of bituminated paper which had no chance to hold and they left a huge amount of dust on the wall, that came from cutting the siding.

Tonight i went and hosed the AC, balcony floor, screen, and saw the dust and directed the hose towards it. On the upper side flashing have been stretched when it was applied (that became apparent only after i taped it to the edge with duck tape, lower image) which made it twist, not being taped to anything (or loose insulation). Again, flashing cut too short or too much of the siding have been cut. I looked carefully and i'm not sure if the insulation is mineral or not. Most likely not. The dust and pain came from somewhere else. Ironically, they left this time the flashing falling from above too long.

On the right side there is a 5 mm edge that allowed taping the self adhesive flashing. On the left side i put some duck tape over it to get to the edge of the siding so i can seal the hole with insulation exposed, until Monday when they can decide what to do. I would have been a genius if i took a picture before hosing, but 4 days of hammering thin wood got to my head.

These buildings are not meant to install ACs on windows. I put mine on the concrete floor but his is on the feeble wall that vibrates and probably next to a crack by the window and pulls dust from the wall and blows it in the air on the outer or hot air circuit, taking advantage of wind's direction, the same way as it happened in the other years from the other building. BTW his van full of barrels with flammable liquid is still there, has not been moved in a week or since i took that picture.

12:46 July 13. 13 segmente ale autostrăzii imaginare a Moldovei. 13 secunde când treci pe roșu. Azi s-a repetat faza, cu un camion uriaș condus de un moș bătrân. I-am arătat semaforul dar el s-a uitat cu dispreț la mine. Atunci m-am dus să mă uit mai bine la semafor dar nu am înțeles pe moment. Am trecut înapoi strada, am apăsat pentru verde și am așteptat momentul când se schimbă. Verdele (e alb la pietoni) ține vreo 5 secunde (timp în care nu ai cum să treci) după care se transformă în numărătoare inversă, începând cu 13, moment în care se face verde pentru mașinile care o iau la stânga. Deci practic numărătoarea acea inversă e un fel de roșu? Mă duc înapoi să filmez video ca să arăt câte secunde ține verdele pentru pietoni, înainte de a începe numărătoare inversă.

2:17 Should have done it when i had a chance. Walked there, but the intersection was partially blocked by a guy who was doing... some measurments. Could not see his utility vehicle he came with. The only thing i could do was counting seconds for green. I was right, 5 seconds even.

8:42 There was a crack by the door were i installed the AC that i covered years ago, that is before SAGE came to fix the siding and that was in 2019. Can't remember how it was last year but the crack was open when i checked today. Could had been that my AC was spreading dust in the first place. They were other places where i put silicon back then and they painted over but i think they replaced the gray flashing around the door. But it will take at least one day until i figur that one out. Was thinking about going and hosing everything down when a group of kids came to play in the backyard. When i passed in the intersection above, the stop lights where off, they were flaggers and they started to dig a hole in the street (Nyberg).

10:00 Here are a couple of pictures taken from fb. First shows damage done by SAGE on top of the door, they fixed it with an iregular piece of siding, second, my attempts to fix it with tape. Second shows the hole in the siding next the door i just fixed with silicon. There are complaints of dust even back then, but don't remember to have been that bad. But then there was lots of smoke coming from outside (ash-mole holes i think)

Just went and checked. The tape is missing, probably i took it out when i took the plastic foil canopy in January 2021 that was full of magots, that lived on birdseeds from the feeder of the ladies of December that used to live there, but now i remember, i din't put silicon on it because siding is soft on the whole surface. They put a piece of rotten siding instead of the good one that used to be there and painted over. There are holes in it.

11:10 I remember how i got meingitis back in the summer of 73. Viral, they said. Got to sit two hours on my belly after they took a sample of spinal fluid. But the hell was yet to come. Alone in a room which is unusual in Romania. The only medicine they gave me was Polidin. 3 times a day. Besides the terrible headache that was more intense in the back of the head, got photophobia. At night could not stand the light from the pole close to window. Don't know why the wouldn't cover it. The window. Got better after a week or so.

From going at the river. Bathing all day and breaking rocks. I remember the smell of those black homogenous rounded most likely volcanic, basaltic lava. Smelled like sulfur. There was anohter kid i was playing with who got it exaclty like me. The same smell that sometimes comes from the walls. The plastic foil i covered the opened door with now smell like it. I put some towels above the filter to catch it. They were days where it was much worse, but it combined with something else.

Got wet from hosing the area, then i stood very close to the working AC. This morning after i done the same yesterday woke up with a pretty bad headake but went away with some campfor based balm and i forgot. Tonight it came back. I put on the Xenu jacket. Kidding. Brand is Zero Exposure. It is so warm i perspire right away. Together with the hoodie that came with it. Writing and perspiring. Took a multivitamin, a vitamin D. Ready with some antibiotics. Preventive or zero day treatement, i call it. But i'm actually in day one. I stopped many infections like this. Right at the beggining. Cause i don't believe in viruses. But i been breathing rocks all day, i feel it in my throat. I've been rocked, i reconn.

BTW am găsit cred etimologia unui cuvânt ciudat din niște versuri de Phoenix. Să mă uit totuși mai întâi în DEX să văd dacă nu-i acolo. Hm. Cred că a mea e mai bună, în contextul dat. Dar par convergente! Într-un fel are sens pentru că... Cât despre hărți de răspândire... Apropo, e un sfert de oră după miezul nopții (știu, trebuia să încep postarea de 14, dar mi-era lene și nu știu dacă mai scriu) m-am agitat puțin în sinea mea pentru așa descoperire, iar tipul de sus care era liniștit de ore în a simțit (shin shin shin gan) și s-a trezit și a început să scârțâie. Și întrebarea pentru google. Cât despre versuri, întrebați-l pe "Baniciu" și textierul (am uitat cum își spune, eu îi știam după alte nume) pentru cine au făcut melodia asta și ce îi rodea (așa de mult).

This morning when i went for my walk a Sheriff's SUV was parked on the other side of the alley, engine started and someone inside doing some paperwork? When i came back they tried again the trick at Nyberg and 65, with a red car coming from again north and a sexy woman dressed as medical assistant. She was like 30 seconds ahead of me, crossed (right crosswalk in the image, north to south), should have run a bit behind her to catch green, but i didn't feel comfortable when i saw a red car coming from behind me that was stopped, turning left, crossing on red (there were 6 more seconds after, i ran and i passed in time) after she passed exactly where i should have been if i followed her. Similar situations in the last few days and weeks.

Earlier i felt insulation smell and went to re-patch the hole in the wall on the other side of the building (someone did tear the tape i put, SAGE construction came to inspect about 10 days ago but never started to fix it) but didn't finish because some kids were approaching. A few minutes ago felt again dust and went to check on the AC, added more joint compound in the gaps.

I thought i fixed it earlier when i put a piece of foam under, like in the last years, to align it better and realized it wasn't transmitting vibration to the concrete floor so much, so it wasn't raising so much dust.

I came inside to grab more duct tape for the hole but when i opened the door, and that was predictable, right in front of me there she was, as tall as me, dressed in some sort of long night gown, the veteran's daughter, passing with her dog in the 100 degree heat. So i just closed the door, never made one step outside, but while i was sitting here at the computer i thought i heard him cursing and yelling outside. She did that several times in the last week, that is appearing when i opened the door. She used to look different, but after i identified her, i think she is someone else now, taller. The veteran who used to be a shaven headed opera singer, these days looks like the singer known as Pitbull, they switched from peeing in front of my door to simply threatening using the young woman as a bait and is way more aggressive.

Though temperature outside is 96 degrees (on my sensor), there is again, like in the last few days, a party of teens at the end of the lawn, within line of sight.

Tot căutam un prilej să repet ceva ce probabil nu s-a înțeles de toată lumea. Armatele rusă și ucraineană dau cu bombardeaua (de obicei pe lângă) în zonele unde există un amestec de populație pentru a clarifica lucrurile (operațiunea militară specială). Unii se vor refugia în Ucraina, alții în Rusia iar la sfârșit vor exista zone cu numai ruși și numai ucraineni, după care Ucraina (ce va rămâne din ea) va fi primită în Uniunea Europeană, dar fără prea mulți ruși în teritoriu. Rușii vor rămâne ruși și bau-bau-ul Europei și omenirii în continuare pentru că numai astfel șerpii vor stăpâni în continuare lumea, prin diviziune. Mai e posibilă o variantă. Rușii vor pierde războiul și vor rămâne în teritoriu numai ucraineni.

Și am mai scris despre perpetuarea prostiei. Aceste practici înșelătoare, preluate din stratagemele generalului mitic Sun Tzu, care speculează de obicei ignoranța, atât de practicate la noi, prin simularea prostiei (ei fac pe proștii) în timp conduc nu la scăderea acesteia ci din contră la creșterea ei. Cu exemplele care le știu, România post decembristă, dar și Japonia, unde a fost suficient un "asasinat" pentru ca balanța alegerilor să încline în favoarea partidului mortului. Ei nu numai arată ca niște copii dar și gândesc astfel, după 400 de ani sau câți sunt de stăpânire ninja.

12:53 Still chasing the flickering voltage. Drilled a hole in the battery's terminal and put a screw. Always wanted to to this. Ever wondered. Why didn't they do it a long time ago. Why the battery terminals are round and not square (rectangular, cubic, whatever) with a hole in the middle so you can tighten them decently with a flat connector?

If this doesn't fix it, i was thinking, maybe the chassis connection to negative, cause every time i tighten the connector, i move that thick cable a bit around. In a hard to reach place, only one 5 mm screw and they didn't even remove the paint.

I always see better when i take pictures and watch them on the computer, now i see i haven't put a washer on the left side. Just figured why they made the clamp at an angle, so you don't bump with your tool on the fuse box when you want to replace battery, which is a very bad idea.

When i got the car from the auction, had to replace the left headlight. Fond an aftermarket one (nowadays with my searching exprience on car parts i could probably find an OEM one at the same price). Trouble is at this car the inner parking ligths are combied with turn signals, the OEM has a two way bulb, and the one i bought is only one. So i have on the right two parking lights left and right of headlights and on the left only one with the inner missing. Tonight i tried to do some external wiring to bring volgate to the inner parking light however. The OEM socket i tried to put in there that can hold a two way bulb is not compatible with non OEM headlight, doesn't work at all. So i realized should add two external wires and possibly the ground also. So i just downgraded the right one, with some electrical tape on one terminal of the bulb, so now i don't have inner parking light anymore, only outer and it's symmetrical.

Also re-tighten the nuts on ball joints with my new tools (extra long set, 6 pieces, metric, with 44 bucks on Amazon). These three projects took me way more than it should have because of smoke. Smoke inside, from a hole right on the other side of the "wall" where my computer is. Smoke outside, all the time. People moving around me making it look like something else. Basically i was wasted all the time, kept "loosing tools", forgetting what i wanted to do, things like that. People always getting away when i step out, and planes and noisy cars jut before i leave, so it looks like i'm hiding when they come.

7:10 First i could read the article. Then Financial Times asked for a subscription. Mainly the article has been quoting some experts from Ukraine, questioning the constitutionality of dissolving the Parliament, months before scheduled elections. More on that from Euronews

9:01 I tried to move the desk further away from "the wall" where smoke is coming from under and when i plugged in the computer in a different outlet the power supply flashed the fuse at me. Yes i spilled a glass with some wine from last night on it when moving but it did not reach the computer or keyboard or anything. Angela's W10 computer is very slow though much newer. I was running a version of Linux on mine which was 13 years old.

9:33 Did i just commented about snap elections? After pulling the lead off the power supply too, i went back outside and blew with the reverted vacuum the dust that it was full. But this time they were ready with a couple of kids that i know here at the window where Angela's computer is.

10:04 Ok i dusted for the last time that piece of equipment and soldered a piece of thin copper wire on top of fuse and it blew on my again. That thing is done. I will never ever again buy any device with a fan in it (that accumulates dust that is).

7:20 Posting from Chromebook 4 with the old keyboard hooked to it. Tomorrow i'll get some sort of hub that will also connect the mouse and the old monitor (USBC to HDMI). One thing i noticed, it's faster than my old computer, with no lag on typing.

I knew there was going to be  some trouble when i went in the bedroom this morning after Angela left. Since Angela can't tolerate the noise and airflow from a filter, even at lowest level, it was smelling like dirty socks. Marijuana, i figured. So i called her when she got there and she seemed ok, but i didn't tell her about the smell, cause i told her one million times and she doesn't believe me.

Soon after, the lead, Steve Eaton (coincidence with the name of the company) who does the scheduling, kinda jumped the turns and put Angela to do again too soon after last time the physically hardest job (boxes, or inverters) which involves unpacking, packing and lifting 20 pounds items for hundreds of times a day. She told him that she could only do it for 4 hours today, and then she was under the impression he went to HR and the supervisor (paranoia due to all kinda smokes we inhaled yesterday, it took me a long time to understand the mechanism, but that won't probably prevent me for quitting again a job at first trouble when under influence, if i could get one right now) who doesn't get involved too much, let Steve do most of his jobs, and he knew and escalated. So it turns on us. Angela got mad and went to the supervisor and complained about everything she could remember, including the fact she works there for 6 years and gets one dollar more than the temps. In the end she told him she can't lift that much (62 years old) because of back pain, hernia surgery (because she had to have too more surgeries after open heart to have 4 forgotten wires removed), and she said she will talk to the doctor when she goes for the appointment on March 1st (that was scheduled since last year) and the supervisor said, let us know. But now it's not like yesterday. That combined with the computer breaking down will slow me down me a little. I was even thinking today. To what good it serves all i do. Cause if people believe me, the market will start to go down and i will get in all sorts of problems. Cause i live in their simulation, but one or more levels deeper than everybody else. Though i can make some decisions, they have enough leverage on me to stop me if they wanted and now they want it.

One thing that gets both of us mad is the car. In pretty bad shape, misfiring (better said, severe engine imbalance and noises when we got it), we were happy when during the weekend, i would re-tighten the battery connectors before living and like magic the car would start to work so fine you wouldn't even hear the engine, and with mileages constantly above 40 on freeways. So i figured, probably low voltage at the fuel pump which leads to dripping of injectors, not washing the valves that become sticky (due to oil coming from intake from condensation of PCV gases). 

I said it many times before, during the 70s they figured a way to recirculate blow by gasses that pressurize the engine back in the intake, but with a side effect. Blow by gasses contain oil mist that condensates in the intake, a problem that becomes much more serious with the newer design with intakes underneath the engine head and in front of the engine where they get cooled.

I myself never quite understood for a long time why some gas sellers advertise their gas as engine cleaning. But this is the reasons. In gasoline injected cars injectors are upstream valves and the gas sprayed by those clean the valves, especially if it has good additives in. But the injectors themselves are sometimes affected by the oil from blow by, especially if the voltage at the fuel pump is not alternator voltage (14.5 for this car) but battery voltage (@12.5), which sometimes happens when the contact at the battery connectors is not perfect and battery is near full. One of the last things i've done at the other car was removing the paint under the ground (chassis) connector and saw that made a difference. At the old car though i had a catch can that would reduce the amount of oil that condensates in the intake, by "catching" it in a can. I was actually getting ready to install one on this car also (got the can from Amazon) but i didn't, because the car was running so fine after each re-tightening of the negative connector. The problem of dirty valve is much more serious at GDI (Gasoline Direct Injected) where the injectors are inside the cylinder, thus downstream valves.

But last night after i finished drilling the hole and tightened the connector again (with again 14.5 volts at the lighter plug measured with a digital charger) i remembered about the chassis connector. So i removed the adhesive i put on top of the screw (mostly to see that it doesn't get loose), took it apart (which involved removing the battery, the computer), cleaning those etc.. They were 4 ground connectors, and when i removed the (self tapping screws) i brought at the surface dirt from the other side, so i had to clean everything and torque those again. Can't tell how i felt every time i was using the little spray bottle with alcohol and young boys where dispatched to pass near me. But i remember when one of the passed and went to the grass area, where the moles are, i felt smoke, and went and took pictures of what appeared to be holes in the ground made with special shoes.

9:00 Found and ordered on ebay a ball joint from the car, OEM with... 15 dollars, however the shipping was 17. Box damaged (like many shipments with parts lately) and i think the main upper nut was missing. Two others where though enough to realize they are they type "toplock" that is the diameter of the thread is smaller at the top of the nut, to prevent from un-tightening. Those nuts are not to be reused of course and had to remove and reinstall some of those several times when i did struts and shafts.

Also got the box with 6 extra long wrenches, and i used one of them to tighten the same nuts on the car. If freshly tightened, the car is driving perfectly, so that was the problem. Got to order some of those, was thinking returning the ball joint, however, i will probably pay for the shipping and loose some more money, cause the part itself is only 15 dollars.

Had to remove some of those nuts several times when i did struts and shafts.

9:32 Today when i went outside at the car i saw again this guy. Dressed very poorly, looking of Ukrainian origin, with possible Ukrainian name, a Romanian orthodox bishop from the county where i am in Romania which borders with Ukraine, he went to the mail boxes and then searching something in some cardboard boxes and then he left (maybe he got those delivered, i didn't see). For a moment i was tempted to go and see what he was doing there.

Was thinking earlier of Angela's job. I remembered mines. Always with actors. In 1998 at Quadramed the supervisor manager was Andy Carson. Cameron Diaz, his secretary. Receptionist was one of those women from SNL. After that, at AVX, Axle Rose. Always living with fear  terror of loosing a job and everything, not caring to much who hour colleagues were (not that i knew) or Angela's are right now. I think i identified at least 3 of them until now. One left. One is the Japanese actress who acted as Pamela in Dallas movie, also as Transportation Secretary. The other one a Hungarian actor, forgot his name.  Him maybe? A bit of smoke through walls at home would make us happy, a bit more, mad. They were times when i thought Steve was this guy.

10:50 Angela now remembers she also told the supervisor (don't know the name, i know the previous one looked like Brad Pitt and Steve was doing the scheduling that is assigning daily tasks for all team members during all three in the past 6 years, none of them did much) that she was never trained to do the easy jobs, and Steve (with latest example, today) assigns to others tasks that she already done the day before. What she didn't tell was Steve was/is assigning easiness tasks for himself, with lots of overtimes and high pay of course.

Angela's main competitors there are relatives (the two "Chinese" sisters, girlfriend and boyfriend etc..

Mysteries Of The Attic, Revealed

After i discovered this i started working on. Damn thing was a trap. You touch it, it's your responsibility. Unnacceptable the way it looks, the smell from bathroom and kitchen coming back into the attic.

I though i was smart enough to mess with it. For about a year, several versions, unsuccesful.

About a year ago it became what is seen in this picture below.

A piece of plywood covering the vent hole. A 12 V computer case fan right under the vent, encased in the 6 inch vent. 4 one way valves with three flexible pipes, two from neighbors and one from me (that is not shown in the first picture above because it was laying on the floor blowing the insulation through a hole right above my kitchen window) in the covering plywood. Three 4 to 3 inches reductions. All sealed with silicon and 3M quality tape.

I have a variable voltage power supply for the fan. When it's hot in the attic (it can reach 120 degrees) i turn it to the maximum ant it cools the attic at least 10 degrees. At 6 Volt works but if one the neighbors forgets the fan like it happened almost every day within last 10 days, it won't cool the attic.

The one way valve that opens in the attic has been modified (re-balanced for a much lower flow). The others are plain valves for dryers and they work the way the were designed.

When one or two of my neighbors uses the bathroom fan the one way valves close and don't allow back-flow on any vent. There is one more one way valve at the other end of each pipe near the fan in each bathroom. Enough redundancy here.

For the kitchen exhaust, i used a computer fan fed by a 5 V USB power supply right above the microwave. If i don't use that one after i cook and stop the main fan in a few hours everything around it in the kitchen starts to stink really bad. I tried with a one way valve and didn't work. So that fan runs all the time.

In the attic i replaced the end of the pipe that was damaged and surrounded with a piece of plywood like in the picture.

Yesterday i discovered that for the vent shown in this picture above part of the tape was taken or blown apart. A small percentage of the whole flow was back-flowing. The two pieces of plywood that surround the pipe are cut around the pipe real nice and there is no much play. However i put new 3M tape and pushpins to secure the tape in place.

I also found 4 or 5 leaks in the other joints of the vents shown in the other pictures and re-taped them all.

Very difficult to work because they were numerous vehicles and small planes making noises like for every move i made. At first there was a big truck with pneumatic brakes that was releasing air every time i was breathing. This makes me very nervous and i make mistakes. My ground level neighbor also turned on the fan for about half hour. This always happens when i start working on those things. But since i write in here everything is quiet except a car or two.

Last year i taped this piece of 7 inch flexible pipe only at the joins and where it was leaking through tiny wholes. At the picture date and time 08/08/2013 07:05:39 PM i discovered several leaks, only with the main fan on. The wires are from a 12 V computer fan that is powered by a 5 V USB charger. It works all the time to prevent back-flow from the wind and bad smell to accumulate in the 7 meter/6 inch exhaust that goes in the other side of the roof near the vent as shown in the first picture. So i covered it completely with tape, 3M, Tough, 7 dollars at Home Depot. The valve that shows open in the 2nd and 3rd picture was sticky and wouldn't open or close easy. I checked and find some chip of plastic (1 mm long) hanging from one of the side like it was trimmed with a knife but not completed. It was out of balance too. I re-balanced it and checked to see if there are leaks so i covered the valve's entrance with a piece of cardboard and set the fan on 12 V. As soon i was removing the cardboard, the fan was going maybe 30% faster and noisier. When i installed the whole thing more than a year ago i put 2 big tubes of GE II Silicone and sealed the space between the vent, shingles and plywood. I installed two hooks for the attic lid and replaced it with painted fiberboard when i moved here. The hooks have threads and are long and go over the sheet-rock and into the wood. Today i found one more hole one inch next to one of the hooks that was corresponding to the attic and one of the hooks was replaced with a shorter one and wasn't reaching the wood. Fixed everything.

Yesterday and today i found two more small holes near the bathtub, corresponding inside the wall and attic space. Covered them.

In the last few days there was "attic smell" inside. I'll see if it disappears after these fixes.

The Hole in the Wall

OK here's the deal. Behind one of bedroom's storage board when i moved there was a hole about as big as i could stuck my hand in it. About 5 feet from the floor level. I fixed it pouring gypsum 3 or 4 times so far.  First time when i painted again the bedroom i think. Last week i introduced the camera through it and took a picture around the corner to see how i put the foam (by touch only with a tiny 1/4 inch one foot long transparent flexible vinyl tube hooked to a foam can (Great Stuff brand). I couldn't have bend the exhaust with it, it's a bit stronger). Exactly where the two pieces of flexible exhaust coming from the ground level apartment are held together by a piece of duct tape that is too small, with too few turns and it probably leaks. It was also strangulated by the tape after it was bent. At the time i thought the smell was coming from the 1 inch space between the panels that i filled with foam. Today i took a better look at the pictures and saw the tape. Normally one would tape the joint for more than two width of tape.

(At times ever since i moved here the bedroom was filled with smoke. I remembered when i was falling asleep in the living room at the TV in the morning when i went in there were my wife was sleeping you could barely breath in there.)

I fixed the hole again a week ago. Monday there where these two guys with a big diesel powered truck that got lost around here and where asking probably directions on the phone for about 15 minutes. The sound was so annoying it prompted me to grab the camera and film them, twice. Actually they took off when i started filming them the second time.  I think it might have cracked again when they did that. Or afterwards from other vibrations from other cars and planes that pass and fly too frequently around here. I think i saw them one more time during the week after that. Lost again or maybe this time delivering. Only this time the crack was on the side with the plywood, near the exhaust housing. And was still wet.

But it is not possible for the gypsum to be wet after a week. Even if it is near a board that could have gotten wet (the housing board) The board from the storage does not touch it, it's about 5 mm apart. Enough for air to circulate and let it dry in a week. Last few days i've been very sick and there was smoke in the bedroom. I was waking up in the morning very tired and with my nose congested after few hours of sleep. I slept alone in the bedroom. I felt like i was drunk. Friday @noon i was almost fainting after hyperventilating for hours and then i took a look and felt the smell and opened the windows. Exactly when another neighbor (with the Jeep) parked under the window and opened two doors looking for something in the car for a minute or two.

It took me hours after if fixed it while hyperventilating until i got better.

When i fixed it again yesterday it was smelling like some weird animal urine. By the way, i didn't put the storage board back and it's completely dried after i repainted today. 24 hours but with a fan.

 

Here below is barely visible in this before picture taken from the attic (i wouldn't see if i didn't know it's there) the taped joint and i think you can see how it is strangulated. On the left you can see one of the thin pieces of plywood i used keeping it in place by pulling two nails while pouring gypsum then extracting them and letting it fall. Last time when i fixed i saw the pouring was very well formed, almost like continuing the drywall without noticing, except it cracked again exactly in the corner.

By the way even right now as i am editing this there is a little bit of smoke inside, my nose is congested and i feel like it' very hard to concentrate.

9-5 05 PM. OK, there's one more exhaust... The one coming from the apartment below that is vacant for a year and i don't know why... Some might... It goes under the bathtub then into the housing that is part of the apartment next to mine... Nothing to do there... Except open the kitchen window when the wind blows from West or the bedroom when the wind blows from the East so i equalize the pressure so the un/idendified smells from the wall don't come inside... Like it happened today when i forgot... Got to fill this one with foam as well...Cause the smell goes under the kitchen hardwood-floor and into the bathroom... I discovered this one because of a leak coming from the tub somewhere...

They always have to do it in pairs... For back-up...

But for that i'd have to go to Home Depot or Lowe's to buy more foam... And raise more eyebrows... Just finished removing the foam and the hairs from my hands...
