Each have a consort and i will only mention Parvati, the wife of Shiva, representing shakti, the feminine energy. Kali is her reincarnation and is the goddess of time, death, sex, violence, name it. However it gest a bit confusing when we remember Shiva is also represented stepping (possibly chocking) on something, which many identify the demon Apasmara.
Today Indians are not so proud of Kali. In Britannica it is said she is marginally worshiped. I always thought they reverted the name Calcutta to Kolkata to erase memories of the colonial past. However now i believe it is not the case. They are trying to conceal the true etymology.
It is said Kali was created to destroy the evil demons and one of them was Raktabija (with many different spelling variants). This demon (asura) had this feature that every drop of his blood shed in battle will turn into a new demon and was hard to fight. For that, Kali would stick out her tongue and lick all the blood.
Could this be the reason the thugs were only killing by suffocating their victims, believing they were reincarnations of Raktabija? How many people the thugs committed before they were suppressed by the British?

Deci la al doilea seminar de tipul ăsta mi-am scos și eu cursul, la care un coleg, unul Dăscălescu, i-a făcut un semn discret iar el a venit direct la mine iar acela a fost începutul unui lung coșmar, din care mai visam din când în când, până acum vreo 10 ani.
Sunt motive să cred că a fost singurul profesor real din toată facultatea, cel puțin din anii mici.

First idea so far. For most people consciousness reflects direct, unprocessed reality and can intervene in and be part of causal chains of events, based on algorithms learned from previous experiences. But consciousness can be more than a reflection of reality, like meditation which can create a reality of its own with fewer but far more effective interventions.
The big question of course is if consciousness eventually modulated by conscience and a need of immediate justice can intervene over reality with no physical interaction at all. And that depends on what is conscience and if all consciousnesses are in fact just one.
From my experience i can tell that bullying can lead to diminishing of the control of conscience, which is one's set of rules over his/her actions.
