April 16

12:15 When i described the latest version of the catch can (there's a new one in my head already), i forgot to say one more time what i said before. The modern cars have the intake manifold under the level of the engine's head and the out ports are above the throttle body. For that reason, it is possible for oil from the PCV to pool in there.

When i got my first Elantra in 2018, a  2013 model which i still like a lot as body stile, much nicer than the 2018 anyway i used a normal vacuum cleaner to which i attached at the end of the hose a thin 5-6 mm piece of PVC flexible tubbing about two ft long (that was not so perfectly attached, allowing air to get in that hose anyways, which helped with functionality).

With the engine off, i was holding with one hand the throttle open, and with the other i was inserting the flexible tubing downwards, making sure it reaches the bottom of the intake. I pulled so much of it, to my engrossment, it coated the whole vacuum hose on the inside.

Must have been ounces of it. But i must confess: i poured earlier a full can of valve cleaner. But it was black which proves the intake was coated on the inside with oil mixed with soot from EGR that was still trickling up the ports getting to the valves after the cleaning.

And because more oil kept getting in there and could not do the stunt too many times, i invented a small vacuum for that purpose only. Again a piece of tubing connected to the other (suction) side of a pneumatic mat pump that works at 12 volts. Of course the air that gets out of it has drops of oil when you hit the puddle inside. I encased the whole pump into a one gallon water bottle.

However after i got tired of periodically vacuuming the intake, i built the first version of the can. Which actually was an inline filter that was clogging fast. Then i found about catch cans on forums.

The 2018 model had the valves cleaner, however is very sensitive to the smallest amount of oil it gets in there. I also did not pull much from the bottom of the intake.

But if your valves look like this, a catch can won't help. I thought it was understood. You need to clean those first. Get a can of Seafoam or whatever, spray it in the intake through the throttle or a vacuum port while someone presses on the gas pedal to keep the engine running.

You will see black smoke coming out of the exhaust until those are clean, and then can vacuum the intake for the remaining cleaner trapped in. Or wait until it trickles up and get burnt in the engine (maybe). And then the catch can will help with the tick.

And of course if you think this method is nuts, there's always R2D2.

Pour... Les... Roumains.

12:42 Black holes are hypothetical entities. Of them, the biggest in our galaxy is thought to be at the center and it has several million times the mass of our Sun. However, from time to time, they discover big ones, 32 times the mas of our Sun, and really close, 2000 light years away.

They call them stellar because they think they were initially stars. Not like the one at the center of the galaxy which was formed by dust. How do they know it was not a star covered by dust? Dormant, stopped feeding. Why would a hypothetical dormant black hole stop feeding? Does it have diabetes?

3:12 I came from my walk, wanted to make some corrections in the last posts. 3 supposedly Spanish little girls came and started to hit the cable box. However i think one of them is a 20 years old who poses as a 10, which is not difficult for some Japanese. There was a red Nissan with the LPN PPY parked on the red line next to mailboxes. Pulled the blinds, went to cook and eat.

4:57 Two hours later, the girls, the papy car are still there.

Discret.

12:21 (17).  Not included which means the thing is only the vacuuming part. Wondering if it can be used for vacuuming the intake, after using spray valve cleaner. Yeah i know. Too expensive for the ocasional user. My invention is much cheaper though, @20 bucks.

June 19

2:10 One more push for Angela's vacation. With four hours of sleep i decide to drive the 108x2 miles to Indian Head. 4 hours drive in total.

But before that i found the strength to put the torque wrench on that nut. Guess what. It was torqued over 27 (should be between 25 and 30) by me with a 6 inch ratchet the night before.

Given the low temperature i pumped a couple of more psi in each wheel. But nothing was going to prepare me for what was about to follow. Heavy rain when i left 205 towards Boring with a bit of hail. The car was literally held by the water on the streets. Gas mileage for the whole trip averaged 37.5 on the instant average indicator.

Got there only to see a multitude of scenes waiting for us. But after a few drinks i started to ignore those.

One example though. A not very big yellow dog, maybe stray, though kinda groomed, very smart was staring at the people entering the casino. Then it tried to prevent Angela from getting out but then moved when she asked him to. Then, very decided, not letting self influenced by the people around, walked with his head straight in the air not looking right or left, towards the gas station. I think it could have been a coydog.

Checked the exhaust nut one more time, the torque wrench clicked and the nut didn't move. Checked it one more time when we left the first time. Still there. Then in our way back we went to get gas from the station on top of the hill where that dog walked hours earlier. Cheapest around, as cheap as at the Spirit Mountain, 25 to 50 cents per gallon cheaper than other stations. Both unattended though at Spirit Mt the convenience store is open all night.

I knew for a long time all the nozzles at that station were broken. Some more than others. Which means the little metal stopper don't stay in place and you have to hold the nozzle squeezed with your hand to get gas. But was still feeling the little hydraulic shock in the end when gas level in the pipe was reaching the nozzle.

Not this time. I was staring at the numbers of the screen and at past 7 gallons i heard with my trained musical ear the gurgling sound of normal filling turned into a higher pitch and more quiet hissing. Enough for me to turn my head and see gas flowing from the fuel port onto the car, wheel and on the ground. 1 second worth of it or about 0.1 gallons that made on the concrete a puddle of about 1x2 ft.

I spent next half hour trying to explain Angela why we shouldn't leave until it dries out. To prevent any car getting with a hot engine on top of that puddle and vaporize more of it. A car that might have had a broken exhaust or something else that may ignite it. Then i saw they were biggers stains from previous puddles under my puddle and at other pumps too.

Then we left and then we turned around, passed the station and spent half more hour in the casino, just to make sure.

Then we left the second time, at 12:42, didn't check the nut anymore and about 5 minutes later, i was still driving under speed limit, because i didn't feel like accelerating, especially uphill when i saw a coyote, this time real, walking from the opposite direction on the narrow shoulder next to my lane. Never seen an animal so scared in my life. The whole body was contorted like a fish in a sac following the head which was locking from a side at us. It was like he was fighting an invisible force that was pushing him towards the lane. I didn't do anything not to scare it further. So we passed each other with no other incident.

On top of Mt. Hood temperature was 33 degrees and rain turned to snow started to stick on the asphalt.

When we got in Sandy some 30 miles away from home i felt the smell of exhaust, Angela had a headache, i pulled next to the window of a convenience store and put the torqued wrench set at 27 on the nut and it moved like 1/8 of a turn before it clicked. On the other side of the window a tall  blond hairy guy dressed scantily was arranging stuff in the store. Me bent over the engine all the way to the back of it.

Soon enough the smell of exhaust was gone and we started to feel the smell of gas that poured 2 hours before on the car and left rear wheel.

Here is my fresh puddle on the left on top of the larger ones that cover the whole concrete area.

My puddle, almost dried, not long before we left.

5:40 Angela went to bed, sprinklers started, the kids got excited and started to yell.

Can't describe how many times in the last week they again tried to hit me from behind. Just the last one. Just before Staford exit here near Tualatin. There are about 10 miles with increased speed to 65 on 205, before joining I5. I was going 75 and a Christmas tree (that's how i call semis with many decorating lights on them) was closing in from behind. A couple of smaller vehicles maybe a van and an SUV were both blinding me in the side mirrors. I slowed down but still above speed limit thinking to let them pass an suddenly i saw the Christmass tree behind me and accelerated and then i took the exit (the shortcut).

Here is an example on how Washington State Patrol dealt with the accident 2 years ago. He was asking questions like he was suspecting of me  faking it to get insurance money.  Never started a hit and run investigation or examined the video from poles on the freeway. I wrote more about in other posts, back then i was not that careful in adding links between those, i can't find those right now, have other priorities, i wrote emails to them trying to get the videos from the cameras with no success. Then the kafkian maze of bureaucracy with the insurance, buying and fixing another totaled car (all i could afford) made me forget everything.

Weeks before, there was an accident here in the parking lot, with probably a demolition derby truck hitting two cars, one of them like mine. A warning? A threat?

September 11

10:54 Just re-edited this post for clarity and consistency mainly of language. My English and writing experience have improved a lot since, best would have been to re-write it but then it wouldn't be written at that date anymore so i just made some adjustments. September 11 2001 was the day when my American dream ended.

11:00 Last night in McMinville, close to the end of the variant coming from west, around 4 AM in a no passing zone. Traffic was slowing down, there was a Sherrif's car (white) in front of me which pulled on the shoulder, without flashing lights. Passed it and looked in the mirror to see what was doing, it had one headlight out of adjustment, when the van/suv in front of me suddenly stopped, however i saw it in time and stopped myself. Then it slowly passed a second Sherrif's car that was again stopped on the shoulder, without flashing lights and incoming blinding traffic. LPN number of the vehicle in front of me was DYLAN or close. I tried to do a reverse LPN search on a site and it came up with a different vehicle.

Both Sheriff's cars stayed behind and disappeared from sight within 30 seconds.

Went outside to check if the traps laid by Eradicon are stinking already. The one close to our building was not anchored to the building, with a screw laying on the ground. I tried to shake it to see if there's anything inside, i guess there wasn't.

12:15 The story of  the bike of the "guy upstairs" is long and i have avoided it because it was paralleling (mirroring, doubling, superseding) many other things i was writing about. It started i guess the next day or days after i wrote a long post in Romanian about cars, mainly because of some erroneous and incomplete article i read on a Romanian site. I put in that post as much as i could from my own experience with cars, gained in 27 years since i owned the first one, in 1995 or when i came to the US. A "wooden" 1983 Ford Fairmont that i bought on the street.

So he bought this 1997 Suzuki Savage and started working on it almost every day, sometimes for hours in a heat over 90 degrees. The week they started to work on our building (starting August 22, the second notice) he went for a vacation, the whole week. The guys from BZ construction moved his bike around almost every day.

On August 26, after spending one night at the motel near Chinook Winds Casino, where i had a nightmare about people entering the room, found the deadbolt open at the door in the morning and the market crashed, i drove to Coos Bay to visit there a couple of casinos. Next morning i read in the news about a fire at Rum Creek, 58 miles away from Coos Bay but an 158 miles drive that started on August 17. When i got back home i realized the gas cap with lock i bought on Amazon was leaking possibly leaving a trail of gas smell behind so i put back the original.

On August 29 at 2 AM i heard a noise upstairs, after a break of about a week (when i had enough noisy from construction). In the morning i was intrigued by the sight of his motorcycle, in a different position than the night before with what appeared to be a puddle of gas mixed with oil that was already dried so i took a picture of it.

In that evening, around 8 PM someone knocked on my door. I went and looked through the window and saw the man upstairs. He started questioning me as why the bike was moved around and why there is a puddle of oil under.

I told him, that was not oil but gas (i didn't know at the time it was mixed with oil). In the next few days i talked with "the man" a few times, trying to troubleshoot his bike and then trying to convince him to fix his bike so it won't leak anymore. He instead filled the bike with gas again.

On the carbureted motorcycles, there is a shut off valve you are supposed to close when you stop the engine. Otherwise, gas keeps pouring in the engine, passes the rings that are not covering the whole 360 degrees of the piston, and gets into the oil pan. On a bike like the one above there is no PCV valve. The blow-by gasses that pass the rings during normal operation are being evacuated like in older cars, in the air through a breather under the engine. At his bike with a broken shut off valve gasoline floating on top of oil evaporating in the engine and the vapors escape through the breather. When he moved the bike the night before i took he picture in a different position, a certain amount of gas flowed on the asphalt.

As a result my car now also smells like gasoline. What is intriguing is it started to happen right after i put back the original cap and i stopped the leak there.

After buying a new TV i was curious to see how everything look in 4k. It turns the brodacast itself has to be in 4K or UHD and the first thing that came to mind was Expanse, which i binged watch a while ago. But then i started to watch it again as i realized i jumped much of it when when i suddenly realized that the martian arts woman in the movie (Bobbie) looks like the athletic Spanish one at Apt.4. Being suspicious now of all actors, i searched and i found a close match with the Japanese Olympic swimmer Satomi Suzuki. But when i looked closer at the pictures, i realized she was actually also looking like the guy upstairs and then i made this connection. 97 Suzuki Savage, 91 Satomi Suzuki. So the man upstairs is actually a woman. It makes sense because the woman are much less influenced by the protozoa present in sick dogs poo litter as she has to handle (pour it in my head). Previous occupants of the apartment were also mostly women except for the old man who was playing porn so loud you could hear it from the alley.

4:13 Chatting with Hello Mobile

7:52 After spending most day at the computer, felt the need to go for a walk. But when i opened the door they were having a party on the other side of the alley and he/she was working at the car, and glanced at me from the moment i stepped. So i just took the patio door, uninstalling the AC in the process. Went for my walk, AQI was near 100, overcast (yes, dark Oregon autumn showed itself for the first time but at 80 degrees). With hot, smoky stagnating air so i didn't make it very far. When i came back i met with the strange man with Arab like beard, green neon shirt with a belt over, showing a funny, prominent butt in his black yoga pants, talking in the phone, i think it was in Spanish. Cooked something, he/she came upstairs from somewhere (it's dark outside) and started the routine.

8:06 Yes, of course, Bush.

August 30

12:30 Yesterday morning around 11:15 before they came to finish the sliding door i noticed the motorcycle was moved again, with the cover removed, and i remembered he came home late last night and also saw for the first time what appeared to be a puddle of gasoline that has dissolved some of the asphalt and then dried, showing a different color on the pavement. I was intrigued and took a picture of it but never had time to follow up or write about.

Last night after i slept (passed out) i woke and was ready to go for a walk and was fiddling with the phones trying to make a working connection (they have compatibility issues, as i said, don't always work or ring) before i left when someone knocked at my door around 8:30. I looked through the window and i saw it was the man upstairs and was thinking maybe i forgot something outside whatever but he first started to ask me questions as why the motorcycle was moved, why the construction guys made a mess in his balcony and didn't installed back the AC after they replaced  the sliding door. (Didn't know he had an AC could be a new type, i don't know). I told him the motorcycle was moved several times by the construction guys during last week when he was missing, and they shouldn't have done it without permission.

He then asked me if i knew anything about the puddle of oil in the parking lot and i told him, if that was oil it wouldn't have dried. He told me that the oil cap was ok and i told him i don't know if that motorcycle has an oil pan (with a cap). I asked him how much gas is in the tank and he shook the motorcycle and he said there was none and he also told me he had also worked recently at the fuel line.

Hours later i realized he possibly being new to motorcycles could not know that some motorcycles need a little oil added in the gasoline, as that is the only lubrication provided to the engine. If you fail to do so, the engine may seize and that oil might have accounted for the color of the puddle). So i just went and put a sticky note on his car. I hope i can contact him tomorrow before he goes to fill that tank as i really don't want to knock on his door at this  hour. I would assume he would try to check the fuel line first, and i would see him doing that and talk to him.

I didn't follow on this or other things as all morning and well into the evening, when he came, i was groggy, exactly when they came to work inside the first time. In both cases i fell asleep with all the noise just before they came. In both cases there was something outside putting out fumes, like a diesel generator in the first case and potentially an unused compressor with a tank sitting there all day in second (next to the hydrant in the picture). Wondering how much gas was in that tank and how those vapors influenced me as well earlier. When he came inside again like last time i felt like sleeping while standing and watching him.

8:32 One second he was upstairs, when i looked both car and motorcycle were gone. Then i heard a door and when i looked the car was here, and he was walking away very fast. I went and grabbed the truck and caught with him at the end of the alley, leaving on his bike. Apparently he didn't take my advice to put oil in gas. I told him not to drive like that cause the engine may seize. He asked me how much should he add and what type, like maybe 10W30? and i told him again to google. Then i drove back towards the apartment but remembered i had to buy something and left and saw him taking a turn at the gas station, maybe to buy oil. I went to buy my stuff and when i came back finally had a chance and motivation to google everything.

Oil is added only in 2 stroke engines, which went of the market around 2008 and now are coming back. Oil to be added in gas in a proportion of 50:1 is a special type of oil. Apparently by the shape of the engine of his bike he's got a 4 stroke engine which does not require oil in gas. What happens if you don't add oil in gas in a 2 stroke and if you add in a 4 stroke. So not knowing, risk of something happening is higher if you don't add oil in a 2 stroke.

But there weird parts in this whole story.  First of all, the gas leak which is now covered by his car. He usually went to work on car not on bike. He not knowing if he needs oil in gas. The lyrics of a song i complained about with porn going mainstream. Here's the copy of the note i wrote and attached to the window of his car last night and he confirmed he found it.

6:41 I looked at the kitchen window and all the flashing they put moved because of too much tension, leaving big cracks and that explains the "feel" of the day. Even after i did 2 more burgers on the elctric pan, i was still feeling stingy dust so i went and added some clear silicon (that's all i got) so the cracks are still visible. While working at the window, i saw the guy from upstairs coming.

I went and spoke with the guy upstairs. Motorcycle is definitely a four stroke. I think the guys with the van stole his gasoline through the line (he's got a locked cap) and emptied the tank when his bike was in a different position in the parking lot. When he came and moved it, kinda with the front wheel on a higher position than rear, the remaining gas ran on the pavement. In the meantime, the tank was putting out fumes through the open lines, possibly for days. I think they are stealing my gas too but in my case is most for decreasing my mileage performance, even after i put a locked cap on. While i was talking with him, the veteran (a different actor now) and his wife (a writer) came with the dog and were listening.

10:21 When i saw Gorbachev the first time i knew there was hope. He was  the first communist leader i saw smiling, ever. What did i know.

June 7

Is it too late? For what. I know confidence vote was not real, more drama to keep the loonies on the path, like Pink Floyd once said. BTW, a classic scenario where the knight is (still symbolically) sacrificed to save the queen.

Last night i've been to Ilani and had in the car a bottle of brandy the kind with metal cap screw that was not perfectly sealed, that is, it had a play, you could have opened it a bit, maybe 1/10 of a turn (allowing theoretically an exchange of gases if opened a bit without braking the seal) though it seemed closed cause none of the brandy was missing and one with a cork. We opened the one with screwing cap (cause it was easier of course), but today i remembered, every time i drank that type of brandy i got way sicker the next day then when i drank from the really sealed ones. And sick i was. This morning, afternoon, i thought i was going into a coma. Better now, after midnight. But after eating two free burgers (on Angela's "rewards"), i went back in the car and drank some more.

This couldn't have happened if the liquor was sold in Oregon, like in all of the other states i know of, in grocery stores instead of specialized stores, where way fewer people get in.

Then i remembered what happened at Ilani. Shortly before we left, Angela sat next to this guy who painted my car. Those are very sought for machines, on Angela's mandatory list, but that one wasn't reading tickets or bills and that was the reason nobody was sitting there so Angela played a little with her acquired points from the card. He didn't seem to have seen us, there was one more person in between, neither us did see him at first, with his son and probably his mother playing next to him. He's got a yellow hair very similar to Boris. Then he started laughing and talking with his mother and that's when i raised my eyes and saw him and told Angela who recognized him and we left. I can tell now that i remember, that i was hyper. Kept yelling at Angela all the way back home. Drank some more while trying to fix a problem with my new hosting space. So my mind was still sharp after all that liquor (a total of 300 ml and several beers). But the next day when i woke up...

They were a couple of Romanian guys involved in fixing cars from auctions that i knew, first one, in Dallas (Oregon) who sold me the Nissan in 1999, and the other one who theoretically owns the shop where i got my car fixed and painted last fall in East Portland. Both of them look like Boris Johnson but in different ways. Perfectly speaking Romanian but with different accents.

There was another guy i knew who looked like him, in a parallel class (A) in HS (i was in B with the whole gang), Witoski of Vitoski or whatever, who later went to a different faculty but still in campus.

Don't know what else to tell more. Don't feel comfortable about giving their names or shop name, though i don't remember the last name of the guy who painted my car and paid him with cash.

Actually i'm quite mad at him because he kept the car with dog food in the air intake (theoretically he could pretend he didn't know though it was stinking like hell) in a puddle of water on top of a clogged sewer for about 3 weeks.

Yes Sorana Cârstea flashed me in some very short shorts a couple of times too.

2:45 My phone became so dysfunctional i had to hard reset it tonight. While staring at the display and waiting foor the next phases couldn't help but have a revelation about the shape of the wifi sign.

Now That's What i call a Speed Trap!

Turned around on Tualatin Sherwood to take a picture, lucky enough to catch a car passing by at 99 in the great city of Sherwood that has many cameras for through traffic of course, surrounded by perennial construction zones, money makers for the successful Rob_in_hood mayor of city of Sherwood, now sitting on many waters. Just passed through a puddle of water that was just around the corner (two great masonic obsessions) that was unsignaled though there are cameras for speeding and red light in the intersection. Got home, air filter is dry, catalytic still works, no check engine lights. An answer to what i wrote, but not sure if about flooding the moles or the post with Udă-rea or my car sitting in October at the shop three weeks in a puddle of water, with pounds of dog food in the cabin air system and then mold in the AC circuits, rusted brake rotors, etc.. All of the above? One thing is sure. The masons make the law, they are the law and of course above it.

Construction zone starts just before the intersection, when coming from west, but if you turn right, on top of cameras, right after the corner there is a barely visible sign (never saw it, Angela reminds me all the time) that says 25, before the puddle of course. Where were all the Police SUVs (equipped with blinding at night red and blue flashing lights) patrolling at night or hidden within that restriction area with a barely visible sign?

About how legal are those automatic tickets, that are not written/given by cops, i wrote before. Picture taken 11:20 PM Sunday April 11, about half hour after the peak of the rainfall.

April 7

8:17 Diplomatul Belicos

8:38 This is a first. Got a back pain so severe i just can't sit so i write while laying in bed on a side. It's about officer Sparkle from Lake Oswego. One day i could not stand the smoke no more and called the Police. It was then where i met him. While waiting for him i popped the hood of the truck ad dropped the keys in a hard to reach place. When he came he just reached and grabbed them for me. In that moment the dog of my next door neighbor (Apt.9) came and he got nervous and asked me if it was mg dog. Anyways, he left and he said the smoke was from leaves.

In a different day again i was working on the truck and got so much of the smoke and irritating dust i just left and drove around like crazy on Boones Ferry. But he was not ready that day. The day after, again i went to get gas from Chevron at Boones Ferry and I5, i was driving normally that day, but when the attendant was supposed to give me the receipt officer Sparkle gave it to me instead. Then he pulled me out of the truck, gave me a sobriety test and a frisk when another cop came, a woman, and he finally left me alone.

I wrote this because yesterday i discovered another possible etymology for Lake Oswego. Widow is a major theme in Freemasonry.

8:54 Carmen Bejan?

11:32 Had a pair of jeans that i used for at least a week before i finally threw them in the washer and put some water on top because they were stinking. Today i wanted to wash them, put more stuff in the washer to make a load, but when i tried, nothing. The washer wouldn't start. Then i remember the whole process i went through a couple of times since i moved already. Shall i call them? It would probably take at least one day. I would probably have to remove the water and the laundry to let them fix it or replace it. So i just went and looked at the lid switch which was broken and temporarily fixed by me about 5 years ago. The spring in there jumped or something broke (a piece of plastic came out). I shorted the switch and started the load, however, have to fix them better. Or call them.

Also last time when i fixed the water heater (after inspection, the distribution box was full of water) i set the thermostat to 125 degrees and today i saw the water is a bit too hot from what i was used to but when i went to adjust it i saw it was already down like 10 degrees from my last set, so i wasn't sure what to do, i moved it a little lower anyways.

Both water heater and washer/dryer are 20+ years old but since i messed with them i'm afraid to call them to have them replaced. Water heater had some sort of mud under, i lifted it and partially cleaned it in the first year or so, but that was after i replaced the thermostat and was again afraid to call them.

All these might have something to do with the fact that last night i forgot the door completely open? I mean, it was closed but not all the way, unlocked and without the block (i use a piece of wood) but if somebody would have pushed it with a finger... Also yesterday when i left for the walk i forgot to take the picture of the two rotating bottles at the door. Those bottles rotate when i open the door and set in a different position every time and if i take a picture when i leave i know if somebody's been here when i come back and take another picture which i do every time except when i forget.

8:28 I'm kinda late with this post. Figured it too late. The reason for the construction site was the public toilet. It started a few months ago, not sure, maybe last year.  A point on my 3 miles loop. A big mystery to me. What were they trying to build? There was even a small excavator on the side of the road, for the same amount of time. Then about two weeks ago i became intrigued and took a picture of the site. The next day teams were working. First they cut the asphalt. Then they poured asphalt. What they did was a couple of gigantic speed bumps, maybe 30 ft long each. Both on the right side of the road as leaving the residential area. Then i realized. Every time i passed that public toilet there was a man walking towards it (and then passing of course). Today instead they made me rendez-vous with that plane.

8:45 This "fitness trainer from Ukraine" landed in Romania a few days ago and became an instant star after an older man who realized who she was gave her a small amount of money for her to fill her car with gas.

9:31 No there was not that sort of damage at the car, only optical illusions created by the puddle of water created by a clogged sewer the car's been sitting on for weeks before they started to work on it (until i got the parts i ordered myself). I washed upholstery, vacuumed the dog food from heater core but the AC got contaminated with mold and/or bacteria. I accidentally releases some Freon when i refilled it and it was smelling like mold big time. Ever since i've become sicker and sicker especially after walks upstairs. In the morning solid tiny pieces like sand come from my eyes. This morning my tonsils were so big i started to have breathing problems. Keeping Augmentin in my mouth ever since and i got even better than before in half day. But when i tried to stop, after a walk upstairs, my eyes, throat, ears and everything started to hurt again.

April 4

6:31/4:31. Iliberated again. Care e culmea conspirației? Să te conspiri singur (hush baby).

10:30 Are you ready for another one? I knew bacteria can live in the gas tank. But believe it or not, my car's having mold inside the AC pipes. Neither the refrigerant nor the oil is anti-fungal enough to prevent it and R134a refrigerant that my car uses is far less toxic to both humans and mold than previous types "that were harmful to the ozone". Though the system is pressurized, when enough leaks occur, there is an exchange of gases with exterior. That is for every 1 million molecules of refrigerant escaped, one molecule of water from ambient gets in. For that, it has by design a can hooked on refrigerant's circuit with desiccant material, like beads of silicon. The way silicon deals with humidity, is it absorbs it, being porous. However, the water stays in there.

The car has been sitting in a puddle of water for weeks, though AC was not completely depressurized, building karma before they started to work on it at the shop and it was then where it got contaminated.

When i refilled it i accidentally released in the air some refrigerant and felt it was smelling like mold, but i thought that is the "normal" smell of the used oil and refrigerant. Now that it has been refilled to specs has more pressure and tiny leaks like any AC (pressure on the low side is actually higher when the AC is off), (mostly from being dry after loosing most oil), every time i drive that car (and sleep in it like i did Saturday) my tonsils get bigger to the point now i almost can't talk. I think this happens on any AC system, on bigger or smaller scales and that is the reason many people get sick by those. I'm also exploring the possibility that the PAG oil i added as per manufacturer's recommendation may be a not anti-fungal but a nutrient for the mold.

12:12 It is not the first time i think when he squeaks upstairs he's synchronizing his brain waves with mine, something that can happen when people have sex. Anyways, i finished the posts for this morning, wanted to write about he being here for now three days in a row, go for a walk and he just left before me. So it can further create the appearance of living together.

Also a video was playing in a different tab, continuing with Robert Magyar. Now i understand that people in Romania did not recognize the Hungarian actors, writers and singers leading the Romanian high life because they were not known in Romania before that, but this in case of Hungarians seem inexcusable. Unless the're all in some sort of trance, like watching them from a baby's cradle.

12:32 He's back, was wearing a red and blue cap. Got back out the door and back in.

12:48 Now this is a bit too much for my intuition. A faster jet stream on top of the already faster than normal one that brought us the storm?

3:00 Is Zelensky growing a goatee as well as biceps?  These two pictures are taken a month apart. The only way he could do this is if going to gym (or digging trenches which is more likely).
4:41 Fast jet stream today. Close to max or 250 mph, average being 100.
4:32 Just went and plugged a few holes. Seems like there was a very... bad smell in here, not the usual, maybe cocaine.

5:38 There is cigarette smell coming from the apartment upstairs and there are mole holes in the ground at the apartment down stairs, both around the corner. I went again to plug the holes and now they brought in a scooter, right next to where the holes are. I remember i had a plywood box with two tires on the balcony, last spring when they gave me a notice to move them. As i did, i threw them away. One of them was unfixable, one was still good. If i had that tire when i got the flat in August, would have just replaced it at Les Schwab in the same day (new tires were ordered and came Saturday, after the accident). In that night i drove at Ilani with a spare (40 miles, crazy, i recon) and when i got back i was doing 60 in a 60 area, however he came and rammed me from behind, but i saw him approaching for several seconds, he couldn't say he didn't see me and then he got surrounded by the rest of the pack and left, without giving me a chance to see the LPN.

5:55 Another smart mole threw some of the pieces of onion out and there was this guy (again around the corner) who was coughing. So i went and took those and found two more holes again under their wall but much closer to our bedroom (on my side of the corner). It was those who filled the apartment. They have a few kids ready and send them either if i work in car or in other situation. Right now i had those 3 pieces of onion i buried around the corner in my hand when he passed. Onion, to stun them.

6:03 Kids running and yelling under our window as Angela is trying to fall asleep.

October 28

6:18 After taking Angela to work i went for a short walk in the park (to help eliminate some of the alcohol in my my sytem). In the dark parking lot there was something moving and waited until she came under light and i saw there was a woman with a dog. They were two cars i met on the street, and both at the stop sign, when they slow down. When i came back i picked a few items from the red chips, i know there is a dog poo somewhere but just can't find it within the leaves and inside is smelling like dog and mold.

6:38 Curious to see how Hungarian women look like, seen by one of their painters?

6:45 Searching for a face. Here's a preview. First walk upstairs. I feel nauseated by the dog smell. Did i tell i found last night another mat in the "no dumping" place and took it next to the garbage bin?

Tulcea, my (dog smelling) a...

8:05 He went once to the car before he left. A mixture of cigarette smoke and dust came in. Got to hose the stairs.

8:42 Hosed the stairs, lots of dust already got inside, contaminated the fridge. Used the rack and gathered the leaves in suspected areas. Found at least one piece of dog poo, as the leaves where smelling. More nausea. Threw away three 13 gallons sacks of wet leaves (about 50 pounds in total). Got to go in Hillsboro Auto Wrecking need to check with google maps first.

Looks clear.

6:13 Good news. I was able to pick the wheel at Hillsboro Auto Wrecking. For that, i did a total of 78 miles, accompanied, as usually by all kinda crazy drivers, which made it much more difficult, though there was no wind and the truck was not drifting any more.

The wheel looked intact but it had some abrasions around the rim in the area of contact with the tire from removing the tire with a tool at a "slightly different" angle. I borrowed some fine 400 sandpaper from the shop and sanded those out, otherwise i think it could have leaked. Used a water hose and some toilet paper to clean the dust i made and any dirt inside as it could damage the valve.

Here next to the old one. I also used coarser sandpaper to remove the cutting edges of the damaged area (forget to take a picture before, still got some visible cracks) so the tire won't be damaged in the transfer process. At the tire shop i was watching the process of transferring the tire when a delivery van or something backed up in my direction (after an Asian woman came to watch as well her vehicle) but i got pulled out of the way by one of those (Russian) guys from the shop, that was conveniently located 2 buildings away from where my car is.

Good news. They will bring the car inside and start working at by the end of the week (as promised). I also was directed to move the car out of the puddle on a dry area.

Bad news. Crashed with hunger and instead of using google maps i just used google (keep forgetting) and it took me to a Carl's Jr about 10 miles away. The jack i used to lift the car had a "blocked" piston, and had to interrupt the work of the man to have it unblocked. After replacing the wheel (had the spare in its place) i took the borrowed tools inside, including the compressed air hose for the impact wrench. While doing so i touched with the dirty hose that was in the puddle a freshly clear coated car. It did not damage the paint but after wiping it out with a rag, it lost the "freshly painted" shine. I showed it to the man, he said that area will be buffed anyways because right on top of it they were drops of clear coat that "tricked" during the coating job, that need to be sanded and buffed out, which they did right after. I also saw a very small dent under the shiny coat some 2 feet to the right of that area.

The short 1 ft 1/2 inch wrench that i borrowed, with a pipe as extension to torque the lug nuts that yesterday was working, today it looked damaged, looks like the spring in the clicking mechanism was broken.

Just remembered something. I tried to torque the lug nuts on the right front (where i did the axle that BTW is again not fully torqued, didn't have the tool) with the same improvisation, wrench/pipe, the ones i torqued again with the only short wrench but they seemed over torqued. Need to check those again tomorrow, borrow a torque wrench from O'Reilly's.

Good news. I slept about one hour right before i wrote here, on top of the 5 last night. Bad news. Got awakened by the TV upstairs.

7:28 I thought alcohol in bread is the reason for this Jewish ritual. Alcohol in bread is bad news for recovering alcoholics. 200 gr of bread may contain up to 3.8 grams of alcohol or the equivalent of 1/3 of a liquor shot or 100 ml of light beer. How about children, drivers?

9:19 This guy looks familiar. Pretty much like this one.

1015 Unknown Hungarian actress seen through the lens of one of their own photographers. What man? Is there a man in the picture as well? Can't see any man.
11:09 Since driving the car in the shop's lot seems to be a big issue, i just applied for a trip permit, effective seven days from now (November 4), though i don't know when the car is going to be ready.

October 23

8:43 Got four hours of sleep, can't sleep anymore. Had this wet towel on top of the filter last night that was absorbing some of the fine particulates that got in here yesterday, but after it dried out, it actually started to put those back in the air and i woke up with this feeling of "dry air".

After staying inside for days waiting for deliveries and doing whatever at the computer and breathing air polluted with all kinda stuff, from near and far, last night i was happy i could go out for a few hours so we just drove to Spirit Mountain. In there, the same as usual, people getting in my way or popping out of nowhere when passing other people. Had one of their famous hot dogs, one sip of coffee, lost about 40 dollars and then went outside to get one more drink in the car.

When i stepped out, there was this blond woman, looking more like the one in the right in the link, about 30 feet ahead of me who turned around and started to yell at the casino. "I'm not going to give you any more money, b..."! but she was actually facing me. She continued doing that as i was getting too close to comfort to her and then i told her, cause now she was yelling in my face, "who are you calling b..." and she said "the casino" and i told her "the casino is an inanimate object, you're making it look like you're yelling at me", and then i tried to pull the phone to record what she was saying, and the guy next to her, who was looking exactly like the guy in this article said "you're not going to actually hit a girl, are you?" and i said "no, i'm just going to record her" and then i tried to bring the recording app and when i did she stopped calling me a b..., but then started to walk around me, like a satellite, but did not say much any more and then i broke free of those two and got into the truck. BTW the truck's got again a loose bolt on the control arm at driver's side and drifts on the road.

I remember vaguely this is not the first time when get to interact with people who just died in the news...

8:52 FedEx is crazy, Troutdale is like 27.5 miles away from Tualatin.

9:21 Wow never seen air moving so fast across the Pacific... Jet stream speed there must be something like 300 mph...

3:26 Never had a chance to completely inspect the car after i bought it. Though still very tired, after worrying for about a week about what else it could be, today i finally went (and grabbed the parts that finally came, both with FedEx, after much complaining to customer service) and was determined to take pictures for most part underneath and outside though the car was in a puddle of water, no matter the distractions (like last time, the plane that was circling above with determination until i shot some video and uploaded it).

This is what i found. The fuel tank is possibly damaged. Possibly leaking gas already, but not enough to drip on the puddle underneath (gasoline is visible on water). I don't know yet how that is called, the suspension rail in the rear (rear axle). By the freshness of indentations in the axle, it seems that all damage was done with forklift after the auction. Still thinking if to keep the car and sue IAA or put it back in auction. I started the engine and saw no check engine lights (i didn't know about the possible gas leak until i got back home and saw the pictures done with the phone on the computer).

7:16 Anybody needs a job? FedEx (and everybody) is hiring.

7:24 Surprise! After missing for a month or so, the guy upstairs is back... (or so i heard for a minute or two).

Unincorporated

It is unclear to me to this day what makes in the US living in a city or county optional. I met with this situation when i tried to figure the county of residence when i was living in Lake Oswego. Though the address was in Lake Oswego and most of Lake Oswego was in Clackamas county my address was showing Multomah county (old Native American names). Apparently one small northern area of Lake Oswego is part of a Multnomah county. But the situation is so confusing even authorities have trouble figuring it out (had trouble explaining to the Police what county i was living in when making a complaint, BTW, there are no forms on which one can make a written complaint to a local Police or FBI) also i once saw a car from Clackamas county sanitation inspection or something inspecting the area. It is also confusing regarding jurisdiction of local polices and courts.
But there are situations when an address is not within neither a city or a county. Apparently freedom or tradition in the US can go to such an extreme where people may choose to be or not to be part of any city or county.

https://www.census.gov/population/www/documentation/twps0082/twps0082.html

That's why sometimes is difficult to asses the limits of a city or county. This morning i left Tualatin, went through Tigard (pronounced like the word tiger) and ended in Sherwood after a 5.3 miles trip for a... walk in the park. All three cities are part of Washington County, OR but who can really know...

BTW. Talking about city limits and counties, Tualatin, Tigard (pronounced like tiger) and Lake Oswego (which name which doesn't have to do with local anything reminds of... Lee Oswald) and the whole Portland area are built on a lava field called Boring Lava Field with many extinct volcanoes among which most interesting is Mount Sylvania, on which Mountain Park community where i lived 5 years was built in the 70s.

What a feat for the Church of Scientology who have volcanoes at the center of their belief system.

Portland is also built at the merging point of two great rivers so it fits somehow the biblical definition of "city of many waters" though it competes with many other cities in the world for it.

But was my attempt successful? After all the trouble i went through to get there which included passing through the cloud of wood alcohol emanated at the composting factory near 99, near the huge school buses depot, i had to turn around and get quickly into my car because of... smoke.

But not before i took several pictures, in an attempt to figure where the smoke was coming for. Then i drove in the direction of one of the plumes and got lucky and took some video and pictures together with the address.

On my way there i was thinking that last summer about 90% of the time there was smoke during my trips and most of the times it started way after i got there or at the end of it. Mainly, if the wind was blowing from west, then i was done. At time i had surgical masks in my pocket which diminishes aerosols (of which most of the smoke is made of).

Also. Last trick. (i'm editing this post now, i just figured what happened right when finishing it). Before i left the first time i tried again to suck more oil from the intake with the vacuum. Very little came this time. Then i saw a an Asian guy in a on older Kia van idling in the spot next to my car. He turned his big fat head around so i couldn't see his face. His van's exhaust was stinking really bad for 5 to ten minutes (they knew how long was going to last from previous attempts last few days) his exhaust was so strong i actually had to give up. Then at the intersection of 124 and 99 where i was waiting at the stop light there was this huge engine not so big truck that actually went right that was vibrating my car. Right behind me there was a woman in a white older car with out of state LPT. I assume now the vibration of that truck shook the exhaust that probably filled my car (especially the trunk since i left windows open for a while). (suddenly now blogger severely cuts resolution for pictures linked here from drive which became very slow, got to download them and upload them again to be seen at full resolution).

Chapman Rd, Shwerwood?
There is a similar smoke inside the apartment most likely coming from burning asphalt dust on the fridge's coils. (Got to mop the floor every day because i go at the car all the time, still got some oil left in the intake). A couple of hours later went back to the Refuge. On my way there i took some pictures of the compost facility next withing a couple of hundred ft from 99. Interestingly how the big piles of compost are being covered from view by some mounds of gravel and other materials. There is a new Subaru dealership next to it i didn't see before. At the time i took the picture the hole place was smelling nicely like freshly milled pine.
Here's a story from media about it too. Apparently they're too blonde to figure out it's wood alcohol from fermenting wood chips (aka methanol, very toxic BTW).
There in the parking lot i almost didn't see this Verizon or whatever truck parked in the middle of it (if it came there for wi-fi or something should had parked near the main building). (i figure know why that Jap was staring at me while i passed him, the ninja was probably waiting for me to take that shot).

This time i went inside and talked to a beautiful senior citizen of another country judging by the accent. Feels good when you see foreigners helping this country. I saw a couple of scopes next to a big clear observation window at the end of the lobby. She let me point the scope next to the large window to better view one of the three remaining fires. She also said "if it's an agricultural fire they probably have a permit and their permits are going to end soon" (like they never did last year) "if it was that bad the neighbors would complain" bla bla. I think that's a good point, how come the citizens of Sherwood never complain of those (and i have a theory for it, the city is actually deserted and there are only mimes living there that show on streets when someone passes by). I asked  her repeatedly if she knows the approximate address of the fires, all she could say was the're above the city of Sherwood. I told her how the birds are going to come this year if there's smoke etc..

I had the inspiration to put my phone next to the scope and took a picture. But as soon as i got outside that fire was out like it's never been there. Two more to go. Then i realized i should have asked the password for the wi-fi there so i can upload the picture. First she said it wasn't working (i had the prompt screen for the password for a wi-fi called FOR, i assumed it was Friends of the Refuge) then she said she doesn't know the password.
I only took one pictures from outside with the DSLR unfortunately it's blurred (moved), But one can still see the high voltage pillar right in the middle where the fire was behind. However there's a whole city between the pillar and where i saw the fire but most likely the fire is on the Refuge side or near side of the city. I think that pillar is right a the transformer station near Walmart, Target and the other stores.

Most likely the main fire was somewhere on this line.
On my way back home this white cube popped in front of me for some reason. That is the approximate millage of the Hyundai when i got it. Don't know if this is voodoo or something similar.
In the last three days (i actually done the first time Sunday) every day i pulled some oil from the intake. Every day less. Oil got in there through the PCV valve when engine started to wear out (go 40 k miles now), due to blow by pressure increase and overfills. Today i didn't pull much but still some. I figured car sits in the parking spot at a slight angle to the left (much bigger to the rear) and more oil gathers through gravity from the walls of the intake on the side with cylinder nr.1. When i start the engine, the flow of air (1500 rpm during warm up it then drops to half) raises the oil from the puddle in the nr.1 pipe all the way to the valves and makes the valve stick). Now i stopped the flow from the PCV by leveling the oil to normal at Jiffy Lube, installing a filter on the PCV line but i also had to either take the intake apart and clean it or do some successive... suctions out of it. It is visible on the transparent vacuum pipe. I used the vacuum with an attachment made of transparent vynil tubing. No oil got so far as the bag inside. It is remarkable how the famous Hyundai ticking sound stops when i pull oil from the intake.

But it's not only a simple tick. It comes with a partial misfire due to sticking valve ignored by the computer because it has purely mechanical causes. That leads to engine imbalance and small exhaust leaks. That together with the aerodynamic shape of the vehicle that builds negative pressure on the surface, thus also at the seal between hood and body, where cabin fan pulls the air, finally may lead to exhaust in the cabin.

And it can be done selectively, by overfilling at the dealership.
If you own a Hyundai (to my best knowledge newer that 2010 that ticks) this is what you should do.

Find an loose the screw on the clamp on the hose on throttle body and expose throttle (about 1 minute job with a longer Philips screwdriver). Gently push throttle at the bottom end with one finger.

Inspect the intake on the inside with a flashlight. If you see oil on the surface, you can do one of the following:

If still under warranty go to a dealer and asked them to clean the intake from oil and stop the leak.

If not.

While keeping the throttle open with your finger insert in the first intake pipe from the throttle (nr.4 cylinder) (or second or third depending of how much you can see and feel) a piece of tubing from a transfer pump bought at O'Reillys, NAPA, etc.. (around 10 dollars). Have someone pump oil from the intake while fiddling with the tubing inside the intake trying to reach bottom).

Or use a device like the one on top (vacuum cleaner hose will get dirty with oil but it can be cleaned).

Or go to a shop and have the intake taken out and cleaned - at least 300 dollars.

Etc..

Also check oil level and replace PCV valve. If oil level on the gauge is above High sign go to Jiffy Lube and have them level the oil (it needs a crush washer and an experienced mechanic that can replace it fast enough). Some may find it difficult to figure oil level on a Hyundai gauge because of the color and shape of the gauge.

Clean and check the PCV line. If you can see oil after replacing PCV valve and leveling oil and then driving you should install a small compressor filter (7 bucks at Lowes) on the PCV line.

If you can still see oil getting in the intake you can do one of the following.

Get rid of the car.

Sue Hyundai in small claims court.

***Next day***

I think i got the ideal tool for the job. It's got enough flow and vacuum to suck a bit of oil from the bottom of the intake. I will try it later when the oil will settle at the bottom more. And it was all ten bucks and 30 miles drive to two Walmorts. I can now take it in the car and do it every time i want (hopefully one day i will suck all oil from the intake, what happens the thing is very complicated and has numerous places where oil hides and when you drive it some will reach at the bottom where i can pick it from). However it makes alomost as much noise as the vacuum i used until now. It's going to probably spit oil at the output port but who cares since i can remove it from where it shouldn't be (I can maybe use a rag or even a vacuum bag). https://www.walmart.com/ip/Intex-12-Volt-Quick-Fill-Electric-Pump/23894708
It worked as expected. I went in the parking lot at Fry's (too much noise here) but ran into more trouble. Stuck in traffic on I5 (one lane closed due to work), people seem to be curious about what i was doing, i went in one corner of that huge almost empty parking lot to be alone, the started to pop near me. Exactly like it happened with the vacuum, i could only pull a small amount of oil, about 2 spoons or maybe an ounce. Traffic on I5 nearby almost stop and some very bad oil burning smoking vehicle(s) filled the place with so much smoke i had to leave not before getting a headache. In the video i only caught the last few seconds of the flowing before oil finished.

Also got a new theory about the noise. In early google searches about the intake of this car i saw some butterfly like or throttle like valves inside each runners on some diagrams. Can't see them anymore on any type of search i try. Today i found out the're called swirl flaps. Today it felt like i reached some moving parts with the tube (this time guided with a piece of coat hanger wire all wrapped in gorilla tape). Decided to research about those. They are like i said throttle or butterfly like valves on newer engines' manifolds that create turbulence inside the runners in order to improve fuel efficiency and are actuated either by vacuum or by electric actuator. I think somehow oil inside manifold interferes with functioning of those, most likely by unwanted lubrication and/or corroding of plastic parts. The only video i could find about those (very little info as very few know about those) is about a Ford, though it makes a similar noise with my car. Note how the guy seem to completely ignore the fact that his manifold and parts are also soaked with oil which may be the cause of all troubles for the swirls flaps, apparently yet another German invention.

"Early Duratec HE motors had problematic tumble flaps which tended to fail and dump pieces of their metal rod into the engine's intake ports, leading to disaster." (first comment on the video).
After doing all this i felt like going for a walk. When i got at the refuge, surprise. No smoke coming from the hills. Just some... progressive housekeeping going on. A guy first on foot then with some sort of vehicle with a mask and/or helmet was spraying something near the trail near the entrance exactly where the wind was blowing for towards my car. So i just went to the other entrance. There came a woman with small children about the same age or close that didn't seem to be her etc..
