Slowly but surely. Though Windows 10 was supposed to be the "last windows (version) you'll ever need" soon it changed to 11 and i bet there are rumors... (and i bet the "new" Seetings won't be done by then)

5:50 My laptop hinges indeed broke after about 6 months of continous usage of up to 12 hours a day  and years of casual usage before that. I suspect they became brittle because of micrwoave radiation generated by the wifi.

An expertise can be performed in every laptop with failed bringes to asses the brittlness of plastic especailly around the (internal) wi-fi antenna but i suspect everyone can do it by bending a piece of plastic of an already broken laptop to see it if breaks easily.

And laptops when in use (on your lap) are awfully close to sensitive areas or your body.
