Brake Story and Other Car Adventures

When i went to Jiffy Lube (Wednesday, Lake Oswego) they also checked the brakes. 8 mm left in rear (which i done myself this spring) and 0.3 mm in front which i was expecting. So i planned to go today and do those ((bought the OEM plates in the same time with the rear ones) also a very nice and worm fall day). I went to the car to check the e-brake and ready to start when i saw the yard was full of smoke. Mole mounds, holes and galleries everywhere. Kids on bikes playing next to my cars ignoring the traffic in the 300 apartment complex (we're at the bottom of the cul de sac but still). Something i wanted to tell for sometimes and keep forgetting. I go outside, the light makes my eyes itch (yes, didn't wash my face this morning). I was coming from the yard after stepping on a number of mole features, smoke was reduced a lot, my eyes started to itch, i started to rub them with my fingers and Victoria Lugosi popped from around the corner. And i hear one low flying plane approaching.

  • It took me a while to take apart left front wheel. Bolts where over torqued (by me?). The three kids passed back and forth a dozen of times.
There are some adults watching them at the end of the alley. But now they came and stare right at me.

  • Nope. One of them was getting real close. Left on vehicle. Same old same old. Why do some pads wear out more? Because of the weight of the driver?
Will i live long enough to be able to buy an electric car from the auction (insurance, totaled vehicles)…

  • Right from the door, i saw people that look like celebrities, like rappers. I'm tired of looking for whom i saw last night wherever.

  • I said it before, i once stuck my hand in the (red) wood chips under the deck and i saw they are stinky and my hands hurt for one day or so. The dry redwood dust is very stingy because the wood is very strong, close to some metals and it never rots and…

  • I remember when i did the rear brakes this spring i found the indicators on the pads where broken and bent in a such way they were pushing the pads against the rotors all the time that lead to uneven wear and bigger consumption. I think it was done at …

  • I made a "pick after your dog sign" and stuck it in the ground in the front area where where they are coming at least twice daily.
