CO2 Explained

Peaking at 8 billion tons, 80% carbon, 6.4 Gt (Giga tons or billion tons) of carbons in 2010

Peaking at 35 billion barrels that is 5 billion tons/year, 85% carbon, 78% burnt, 3.7 Gt tons in 2010. 75% is burnt in motor vehicles.
Aprox 10 Gt in 2010. It verifies.

Approx. 1/3 of the existing carbon dioxide in atmosphere is due to human activity in the last 100 years with an average of less than 5 Gt carbon/year meaning less than 500 Gt. It verifies. 100 years is a an extremely short period on geological scale.

I made a mistake in a previous post about the contribution of motor vehicles to production of carbon dioxide when i said it was 1%. In reality as seen above that number is 28% of which only 5.6% is usefull, rest of it being wasted. 22.5% of the carbon we put in the atmosphere is for no reason at all. By switching to electric, if that fuel was burnt in plants producing electricity at 45% efficiency, that waste could be reduced by 25% or 7% of total carbon emissions.

But cars with combustion engine waste twice of that amount by turning roughly half of that energy use into heat while braking because they do not use regenerative braking as electric and hybrids do so they waste twice as more energy. So the final percentage is about double or 14%.

About half of this amount of carbon emission reduction is obtained by using hybrid cars because they use regenerative braking but those are very complicated technologically and pose the cumulated maintenance problems from both classic combustion and electric. Electric cars are very easy to maintain because there's no oil change, brake replacement and other occasional repairs.

Another way to significantly reduce carbon emissions is using frontal washers and the newer heat pump driers. Doing laundry uses a good percentage of household consumption, maybe 20%. Front load washers use less energy per use and per using less heated water. Heat pump driers use up to 50% of the energy and do not need vents and they dry cleaner (air is on closed circuit, and is not pulled from walls when windows are closed).

A heat pump drier basically has a heat pump similar to a window AC that works as a dehumidifier wile recycling air and energy.

They will eventually get cheaper in time but they already could pay for themselves in a couple of years or so (average cost for electricity for drying in an american house is 250 dollars a year for 1.4 MWh of electricity used for drying and a heat pump drier costs right now about 300 dollars more).

Cars like Hyundai, Prius, more newer others have huge dashboards because of their very inclined windshield per cause of aerodynamic shape with more than one square meter or 10 sqft of dashboard.

What makes you turn your AC on in your car at 75 degrees outside? At 75 degrees you only need the AC when it's sunny and your dashboard sizzles because of it. One square meter of dashboard probably generates up to 1 kW of heat inside your car, or half of your household average use.

By example car roofs are insulated towards interior and some are reflective with color white most. But on sunny days your dashboard produces maybe an average 1 HP (750 watts) of heat inside the car that you are cooling of course with one HP of mechanical power from engine operating at 20% efficiency, or 5% of your car's average power. (Isn't that kinda stupid).

What if you installed solar panels on your dashboard? You could probably operate an electric AC only when needed that is only when it's sunny outside and you'll get of course less heat in your car from Sun cause some of visible and infrared light reaching dashboard through your windshield is turned into electricity in that solar panel.

For example a 5000 BTU window AC uses about 400 watts to cool an average room. But a car is much smaller, you could use half of that or the energy necessary for a small refrigerator.

But you could also probably charge your battery in the parking lot. 10 hours of charging at 1 kW (roof + hood + dashboard) could mean one hour or more of driving at 10 kW. Or you could simply unfold a solar panel from your trunk, cover your car with it and have your battery charged 10-20% or something by your lunch break. (It takes 9 hours to charge a 90 kWh battery 10 percent with a 1000 watt solar panel 3 by 2 meter. Like the Lunar rovers.

Same with your house. AC is fighting mostly the heat generated by the roof and walls, (not air's temperature), which goes into the range of many kW in a hot sunny day. Wouldn't be nice if you would have part of your house' roof and walls covered with solar panels which will charge your car's battery. No need for expensive electronics to connect your solar panels to the grid or generate AC. Instead you could charge a battery during day time and exchange it with that in your car that can be modular, something like a drawer (or some electronics operating with less than 100% that could transfer overnight energy from that battery to your car's). Those solar panels will also absorb much infrared energy and you'll need less if any AC working at your house. Etc.

Fixing Exhaust Pipes in the Basement at 1:30 AM

(First attempt to write this was on fb but for some unknown reasons Fedora or Microsoft mail or gmail zipped some of the pictures so i first uploaded others by mistake).

A few days ago they came and marked the areas of the siding to be fixed. One place was by the lid of the basement next to our door.

Today they came to fix the siding they marked a few days ago. They started to work late afternoon when i came from somewhere and talked to the guy and probably finish first thing morning. They left the lid open so i took a chance and made some pictures inside.

Didn't look pretty. Insulation is wet and falling because of broken exhaust pipes as i said so many times before. Inside electric driers all water from clothes turns to vapor and those vapors are flooding the basement through leaks and wet everything including the floor beams and fiberboard on top of those.

(Told them about this several month ago during the episode with the argument with the driver of the purple Dodge).

So i went, bought some duck tape at WinCo after midnight and got some wire, a 1 mm drill bit and fixed  them. Don't know how long the're gonna last after the're gonna close the lid because the plastic masks i attached the pipes to with wire are very brittle.

The one fallen on the ground at the next entrance (gonna go outside now and see apt nr.) was stinking so badly like smoke i took a shower and i still smell just by touching it. Could that had been the cause of smoke i felt so often in the building.

When i left for WinCo a coyote crossed my path next to the building and i was afraid he could have gotten curious and inside the basement. I first went inside to fix at @ 2AM (took more pictures at 1:30).

3 AM. After taking a shower i went outside and removed the lid so it will dry some more tonight. It was smelling weird. I think the pipe i attached now stinks on the outside. Really bad. Back inside i noticed the same smell that now was coming from the clothes i had on me that i put in the laundry and started a cycle.

Conclusion. They were two broken pipes, one from upstairs, one from next wall. I fixed the one upstairs in two places and partially fixed the other one because in the area where it's smashed it meant making too much noise. The fallen pipe from the next entrance i couldn't finish fixing is stinking really bad like some unknown smoke. By reattaching it to the mask the smell went outside the building, big time.

Dragnea, problemele majore și media

A mai căzut unul din pilonii farsei politice din România care a ajuns la asemenea nivel încât nu știi de unde să începi dacă ai vrea într-adevăr să faci ordine, o misiune imposibilă fără implicarea tuturor.

Majoritatea nu se implică și fiindcă nu înțeleg ce se întâmplă. Mai multe repere în această postare.

Dragnea a fost sacrificat deși poate nimeni nu credea să se întâmple așa. După multe amânări, a venit ca un șoc, care încearcă iar să-i facă pe români să uite iar pentru un timp de problemele care îi apasă. Dragnea a încălcat legile de nenumărate ori, dar a fost condamnat pentru o aiureală cu un complet judecătoresc format din figuri și caractonime (nume sugestive, de piesă de teatru proastă) care oricând se poate întoarce, dacă opinia publică o va permite și deja a început să genereze știri și incertitudine.

Aceste probleme, de ordin legislativ și financiar se fac cu încălcări majore ale Constituției, singura lege din România votată direct de majoritatea populației. Problemele sunt vechi, oamenii s-au obișnuit deja cu ele (au fost de exemplu două referenda pe legea de mai jos, media le ocolește constant).

1. Legea referendumului 341/2013. Ea stabilește majoritatea pentru aprobarea referendumului la 12,5%, cu o prezență de 30% (multiple încălcări ale Constituției care prevede lege doar pentru organizarea referendumului).

2. Crearea DNA (și DIICOT) prin OUG (2002, Adrian Năstase). DNA instrumentează cazurile direct la ICCJ, care este o curte de apel. (multiple încălcări ale Constituției, din care afectarea instituțiilor fundamentale ale statului prin OUG). România are instanțe judecătorești și procuraturi.

3. Neconcordanța totală dintre buget și ce se vede în realitate. Ministere ca Ministerul Agriculturii, Transporturilor, Dezvoltării, Sănătății au prevăzute sume care ar însemna activități febrile de construcții autostrăzi, spitale, producție alimente autohtone, o finanțare ca în vest relativ la numărul de populație. Nimic din toate acestea nu se vede, sume enorme de ordinul peste 10 miliarde de euro pe an dispar nu se știe unde. Dacă există. (Două posibilități, în buget se rulează doar banii de salarii bugetari și restul e fictiv, strângerea de taxe și cheltuielile, sau majoritatea banilor peste salarii dispar prin firme de casă. Sau poate o combinație între acestea două)

În media. Minciuni perene, aiureli, aluzii, evitarea constantă a tuturor problemelor majore ca cele de mai sus. Cu un ton serios majoritatea a ce se scrie/spune în media conține prostii iremediabile încă de la titlu. Românii sunt educați și antrenați continuu într-un cerc vicios al iluziilor. Pe lângă dezinformare, media distruge tot ce se învață în școală. Nimic din ce e nevoie și bun simț, tot din ce nu trebuie. Fiecare se teme de o reinstaurare a legilor fiindcă media, politicienii au încurajat încălcarea la toate nivelele și fiecare a călcat strâmb.

A și început o vânzoleală aiurea, de genul cine îi va urma lui Dragnea, ce se va întâmpla cu un partid cu un nume de caractonimă obscenă (sugestiv, aluziv sexual), se cere demisia Guvernului care guvern este o iluzie care poate fi urmată de alta. (O iluzie care plătește totuși salariile a milioane de bugetari.) Când ceri demisia guvernului trebuie să știi pentru ce și să ai și o soluție.
