FAA Rules Violations

Dozens of planes making a terrible noise, for years. I've been complaining to PDX noise management and FAA until i got tired of it. On Port of Portland noise management web site there is a link to www.webtrack.com.

One day i got so mad after a conversation with FAA that i started making a collection of what i think are clear violations. However, this web site is not reliable. I saw planes flying much lower and closer than shown there. So i picked a date, May 1st and dragged that slider with the mouse and took screen shots until i got bored. I forgot about that little project but i saved a few screen shots. Here there are.

According to FAA, a plane cannot fly in urban "congested"  areas below 1500 ft above ground level. Average elevation on the map below is 200 to 300 ft, and where i live, where the house is shown on the map in the last 4 pictures below there are about 750 ft.

On the second image there is a situation where two small planes pass within 500 ft altitude difference of each other. Don't know the rules to say if this is too close. But in early January 2012 i was walking in Lake Oswego near Willamette, actually near the historc furnace. I was taking pictures and had my camera in my hand when i saw two large planes almost colliding. I pointed the camera and took a picture exactly in the moment when one of them made a right and took a dramatic dive to avoid the collision. Although very badly exposed, i still have the picture and i think the planes can be identified. I think i wrote an email to PDX noise management back then.

Anyways, there is something else i remembered. I went to Champoeg state park many times and i have pictures to show on flickr. But i couldn't believe what i saw one day in the news.http://www.oregonlive.com/wilsonville/index.ssf/2013/07/20-month_investigation_finds_n.html

One of the guys involved in the crash was head of the Police in Tillamook since 1998, year when me and my wife had a rollover in Tillamook and 5 police cars came but no ambulance. The exact time and location is written in here http://georgesblogforfriends.blogspot.com/2012/11/shawn-parker.html

So in conclusion, i chose a day, May 1st 2012 and checked the flights just above the area where i live and found several violations, the question is how many are they in total and why nobody takes care of them? How many more done by planes with no transponders, that are not being tracked by this site?

There are days when i think there is only one or two small planes circling silently around (besides the large majority that follow rules and don't bother anybody) and when "needed" they come above and make a big noise.

Here's an example of an audio file. Yesterday at @14:18:20 a very big helicopter flew above. Didn't see it but recorded the sound it made. With all the doors and windows closed, the building was literally shaking. The sound came out distorted because it was too loud. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-ShIhkErMIPbUtJLUJnNHMtdVk/edit?usp=sharing Just looked at the WebTrak web site, there is no data for that time. http://webtrak.bksv.com/pdx
