US Budget 2013-2017

02/12/2018. I wrote this in several g+ posts, i will write it one more time here.

There is a problem with the US budget, more exactly at least SS+unemployment part of it. For the last few years Social Security spendings as seen in the charts below were in the range of 1.4 trillion dollars.

From google searches we can figure there are 56 millions people on Social Security and 6.4 millions on federal unemployment.

https://www.google.com/search?q=people+on+social+security

https://www.google.com/search?q=people+on+unemployment

If we divide the two numbers and to twelve months we get an average of 1800 dollars.

(dollar numbers in millions)
https://www.google.com/search?q=1%2C390%2C000%2F(56%2B6.4)%2F12

That contradicts the more realistic number from google searches by a factor of almost 2.

https://www.google.com/search?q=social+security+average

There could be the same problem with Medicare.

...

I wrote this blog post for the purpose of evaluating the impact of Obamacare on US budget. There is a 4% increase in Medicare and Health Care between 2014 and 2017 but we don't know from these charts exactly how much Obamacare cost of these cause we only have the total. If it's 4 percent of 4 trillion that is 160 billion from the budget for 20 million people being insured i think it's worth it.

160 billion/20 million, that would be 8000 dollars per person per year. With 8000 dollars a year one can buy a premium insurance.

From what i know though Obamacare is not free except for very low income people. There are copays, penalties and contributions from employers.

https://www.google.com/search?q=employers+contributions+for+obamacare

The increase might be due to other spendings in this chapter of the budget.

One crazy question: If US would insure for free all people how much would it cost?

If a premium of 7000 dollars a year per person might be reasonable, for 300 million people it would be... 2.1 trillion. That is about... Twice of what it spends right now for HealthCare and Medicare or half of total budget. I don't know how other countries like Canada are doing it...

Another one (crazy idea). Right now the budget spends around 1 trillion on healthcare, that is MediCare and Obamacare. That amount could pay a 7000 dollars a year premium for half the population of the US. I bet it doesn't. And i know why. They spend half of it just to bring it to them... To the beneficiaries.

Google says... 53 million on Medicare and 20 on Obamacare... LOL. I was right!

Red Light District

I once joked on a forum or don't know where. (This time i won't bring in here a link to document everything that i'm saying. It's so tedious and idea wrecking. Once because while i'm working to retrieve it i loose momentum and second whoever follows it might loose it as well. Maybe i gained enough credit to just write things without cross-referencing with a link everything).

December 1st. The first day after the stickers expire on the Nissan. Got it in November 99, there are 16 years and the car is a 93. November, odd years, time to renew.

So what's the joke. Can't remember, i boil with frustration. Oh. The title.

Red light district is where red light cameras are? Ha ha ha... Beaverton is full of them. There are some... is that Tualatin or Sherwood, the one i just passed today FOUR times?

The envelope was there on Angela's desk and first thing i remembered in the morning was to go to DMV with the old piece of... No i shouldn't be talking like that. Cause recently i just rediscovered what a engineering marvel it is... (That motivated me to find what the problem was with the Chevy from the beginning...) Though with the paint worn-out and painted over and with a spray can every year and a missing motor mount and still a tire vibrating after replacing all the tires, water leaking inside from the rear windshield and oil pouring on the exhaust...

Yes i should have bought a new used car before i started with the repairs this year... First radiator was leaking at the upper joint between the plastic frame and the metal serpentine... Then motor mounts, driveaxles and yes, the distributor, coil, plugs and wires, the full she-bang... 2000 bucks so far...

But right after it started running like in the beginning... 16 years ago when i first got it... With the exception of a noise when hitting bumps...

I had in mind a small adjustment on the TPS sensor... Last time i checked it it was .63 volts... Before that, weeks ago, when i finished with it and got thrilled by the results, almost 30 mpg on the freeway, it was adjusted by ear alone. Then i put it at .5. Then the mileage dropped to 20 and about a week ago i found it at .63. I remembered i read somewhere it should be between .45 and .55. So i put it at .48. But that was not as good as my adjustment by ear cause by the position of the gauge after 60 miles or so it was doing like 22 that was still low.

So this morning i got my meter and set it to .45. And i was feeling the difference in power and i already expect a close to ideal mileage.

Then i drove to DEQ. Straight on Tualatin Sherwood. I was looking for the camera. I saw it. It was green. I passed and kept my eyes on the light. Green. Positive. Noted.

The line at DEQ Sherwood was all the way to the street. Tried vainly to get some wi-fi on my phone just to not get bored in line. Got a HTC 510 that now is 100 bucks at Best Buy but was on sale for 50 when i got it. Not activated. Got a number from Google and i use it only when i got wi-fi, with Google Hangouts.

Got a fair signal from the nearby Walmart. Could use Google Maps but no hangouts. But while taping on the phone time passed quite fast and soon i got at the bay...

From the beginning, trouble. They were taking two cars at a time, each lane, two bays. Got in bay nr.2 at lane nr.1. Had to wait because... They could not do the test for my... year of car at bay 2. Didn't have an analyzer... (only a computer reader). Though at bay 2 lane 2 they had one, as i went later for a... volutary test. Cause i did not believe the results of the first.

Some truck on the bay nr.2 lane 2 was putting out bad smell and noise, covering my car. So i stopped the engine while waiting to pass at bay 1 to see if my car was smelling like that. It wasn't. So i started the engine again as i advanced. Finally got at bay 1 after they finnished with the car in front so they tested it.

It passed but the result were marginal.

Then more trouble inside. Cause i didn't have the insurance policy number (i couldn't remember Angela told me was in the glove compartment of the car). So i paid some 20 bucks only for the test and followed the technician's instruction and went to the DMV next intersection to pay for the rest and get the stickers. But there, after taking a number and coming back to DEQ to look for my small ATT phone with prepaid minutes, that was actually at home, the one i used to make call when i don't have wi-fi, i came back only to find out they could not pull my insurance number either.

So i went home. Again, holding my breath wile passing through the red light camera intersection (105 and Tualatin Sherwood i guess). Green all the way.

At home i finally called Angela and she told me the policy number was maybe in the glove compartment. Grabbed from there it and and tried to find a DMV where i could go without passing through a red light camera. It was on Monroe St, next to where i used to live in Lake Oswego. Only when i got there, a sign on the machine with numbers was saying they take only cash and checks. Hm. Who is using cash and checks these days besides DMV?

Couldn't talk to anybody and took a chance and went back to DMV in Sherwood, the one next to DEQ. And just before the red light camera intersection, Adele started singing [on the radio]. Then again i went through the same mental processes i do every time when i hear that song. And woke myself up on the other side of the red light camera intersection, with some cars in front of me and some after, not knowing what the color of the light was...

They didn't take cards either and then i went to DEQ again. But the only way they could get me stickers where only if i paid the 20 bucks for the test, again.

So i asked them to do a voluntary test again since i was there, planning to go to an ATM, withdraw 100 bucks and go and pay cash at the DMV, (in Oregon on cars made before 96 you can do as many free voluntary tests as you want) just to see if the first one was not manipulated. So they did, but then the printer... broke. And i asked them if there was an analyzer at bay 1 lane 1 and they didn't know what to tell me. And one more thing. Everywhere i go these days i talk to people that obviously are not Americans. I speculated for a long time what they might be but now i think i got the answer.

They told me though the result was slightly better than the first one.

Then the third guy came and since i wasn't going, then they fixed the printer and gave me a printout with some of the result at the limit and some worse then the first test at bay 2 lane 1 though still passing.

Then i came home and started thinking if i ran a red light camera or not the second time when i went to DMV on Tualatin Shwerood Hwy.

Not being able to get the answer i called DMV on the phone. But guess what. My voip Google Hangouts phone was working with big delays, not like usually when it was working similiarly with any 4G phone. Could harldy talk to them. Finally i got to talk to a guy who seem to understand what i'm saying and ask him about the following:

DMV has a "driver improvment program" that is based on the number of tickets including red light camera tickets. If you get 3 tickets within 18 months you're ok but if you get one more, you get a 1 months suspension or something like this.

Basically i was questioning the legality of red light tickets since they are sent in mail (like i got the last one) from some private company in Arizona that owns the cameras without an officer of one of the Police agencies in Oregon ever seeing it. Oregon laws says an officer of law has to have enough reasons to believe you committed an infraction BEFORE issuing a ticket which on red light cameras would be possible only if the cops would actually be somewhere in a room in front of a monitor and seeing the video stream in real time.

But this is not the case. No officer sees those because they are being mailed, as the stamp on the envelope says, directly from A PRIVATE COMPANY in Arizona.

Then i told the guy about defense. When you go in front of a judge and the cops stick a picture of you while passing though an intersection with the only witness (in that picture with your face the light is not even visible, the light is in a separate picture) a camera, you can't possibly defend yourself, since you cannot even remember the event, after one week of driving prior to receiving the letter and start trying frantically to remember how it happened. So how can you go and defend yourself in front of the judge if you cannot even remember what and how it happened?

That would not be the case if an officer actually pulls you over right away, when you have all in your immediate memory.

Or like me right now. I am in the situation of not being able to remember how i passed that intersection, because of Adele and some crazy DJs. Not weeks or days or even hours. I could not remember because i never new. I was just following the traffic, with others following me.

And one more thing. The hefty fines are designed with expenses of having cops on the street in mind. I once stood at an intersection with a red light camera just to see how many make the same mistake i did 2 times within a year or so. That is not fulling stopping before making a turn on red. 90% of the drivers made the same mistake. How much money and who are getting that money from this BUSINESS?

I think when the law was issued they did not have in mind red light cameras. Some inventive lawyers might have found what they think it is a loophole, but probably it would not stand if seriously challenged? By who? People who are tired from work or fixing cars or cleaning or writing blogs and pay just not to have more trouble and time wasted?

So here i went to the liquor store. Cheap brandy, used a card. The lady at the counter said something if my card had a chip cause they have to do it differently. Then i remembered. Liquor stores in Oregon are state owned also. How come they have card reading machines?

Rulez Of The Newz

Breaking news that start at the beginning of the weekend. That make us open our mouths like Paul Alen during the yesterday's Superbowl. Then the grumpiness of the Monday mornings comes and after one our in traffic and listening to the real new news about all the accidents and shootings that happened during the weekend here we are again tabula rasa ready to start a new week and confront our boss.

How they end up? The news that make us worry about our safety threatened by the big cats yawning in the gardens of Salem that are actually cats or the flasher of Estacada? They could certainly make us close the backdoor (not that i have one) or in my case look into the parking lot so see if the cars of the guardian ninja are still here.

I know they covered well Dave Dahl's story including the happy ending. BTW. I never saw anywhere written that Dave Dahl payed at least the 270 dollars fine that i payed for not completely stopping at a red light right turn twice. (Nobody does but only some get fined). (Don't care about how much he payed his attorneys or doctors).

Not the one about the homeless being kicked by basketball player leaving the club in the morning. No i'm wrong this one has a happy ending as well http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2014/04/nbas_terrence_jones_has_crimin.html

Ok i already changed my mind about what i wanted to write at the beginning or maybe not. Some of the ending of the stories, the happy ones are presented as news in their own right, when unexpected.

The 2012 Lake Oswego stabbing. "Shortly before 6:30 a.m. Sept. 17, Fritz and Maggie Hayes returned to their home in the 900 block of Atwater Road after taking a walk together. When Maggie Hayes entered the kitchen, she saw a tall man with some kind of head wrap holding a machete in one hand and a knife in the other. She ran out a back door, screaming. When she looped around to the front, she saw her husband lying outside the front door and called 9-1-1".

Fritz Hayes suffered several "large cuts across his head, neck and facial area" in the attack. He was dead when firefighter-paramedics arrived.

According to documents, a Lake Oswego police officer spoke to Meiser around 10 a.m. at a bus stop, but had no probable cause to arrest him at that point."

http://www.oregonlive.com/clackamascounty/index.ssf/2012/10/suspect_in_lake_oswego_murder.html

Ok. So i read in other place he admitted hitting Hayes with a machete 4 times. So unless he changed clothes and showered somewhere, how could he not have been arrested 3 hours later? And how was he still waiting relaxed in a bus stop and IDd when all the Police of Lake Oswego was looking for the suspect including in the Tryon park, where i was lucky enough not to go in that day?

"Meiser fit the brief, initial description of the killer given to police by Hayes' wife and properly identified himself to Officer Ken Engstrom" http://www.oregonlive.com/lake-oswego/index.ssf/2012/09/officer_encountered_erik_meise.html

I am just curious, when the officer id'd the suspect, was he looking like this?

Can't remember where i heard or saw during @ that time that the headwrap and clothing of the guy ressembled those of a (very low budget) movie character. And the victim, Fritz Hayes or the company he was working for had some Hollywood connection.

I remember that day because i took apart the frame of the sliding door at the bathtub. It is made of four, rather long straight pieces of brass plated aluminum profile laminate that are covered in brass. And cleaned them near the kitchen window.

Now he's incompetent for trial after a life long of arrests, trials and incarcerations. Probably this whole case could not stand the scrutiny of a jury.

to be continued

Death Penalty

One purely juridical argument against death penalty.

Death penalty is a remnant of the past.

A past when (land)lords didn't want to spend much time into arguing and wanted to teach easy lessons to their serfs. Now that we have evolved into a society of law, we could afford to be more lenient.

But sometimes there are horrible cases of stubborn serial killers like the one just revealed in the international press.

By (physically) destroying one person you destroy one person's memory. And with it any chance of recovering information about other crimes that he/she might have witnessed or committed and could prove valuable into establishing someone's innocence. Even a serial killer might have committed crimes that he did not confess, remember or have not been discovered. His/her later testimony/confession may help society by exonerating somebody else. Sentencing a person to death penalty carries a 99% percent chance of destroying evidence pertaining to other cases.

It had been argued that there is a cost paid for by society for keeping them alive and it would be cheaper to just kill them.

But they usually are not killed right away. The decades spent on appeals that (sometimes) overlap the entire rest of their lives come at even a higher cost as their (mostly paid by public) defense and continued prosecution is also paid for by society. Expenses for people that are in prison for a long time for much lesser offenses are also paid for by society.

But in the case of hardened criminals, they usually have been living in environments of crime. The bigger the offense, the more likely a prisoner might have had the chance to witness/commit other major crimes and posses valuable information again for helping exonerate innocents.

Tismăneanu vs Vişinescu

Just looked in Wikipedia for the page of Leonte Timsnăneaun (born Leonid Tisminetski) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonte_Tism%C4%83neanu

"In 1948, Tisminetski and his family were sent to Soviet-occupied Romania, where he changed his name in 1949 to Leonte Tismăneanu, at the request of the PCR(Romanian Communist Party).[5] He was named deputy director of Editura PMR (Romanian Worker's Party's), later Editura Politică, the publishing house of the Communist Party[6] and also held the Chair of Marxism-Leninism at the University of Bucharest.[1]"

He used to be the head of Communist Romania's main publishing house as stated above. Teacher of Marxism-Leninism at the University. We know at least one case where he was an investigator into a high profile case resulting in the imprisoning of a Romanian student that later became a known dissident and writer although controversial after year 2005 Paul Goma.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Goma

"Controversies

Some of Goma's post-2005 articles and essays have been criticized for their strong antisemitic nature.[10][11] Goma rejects these criticisms[12] and claims that he has filed libel lawsuits against his accusers.[13] He asserts that his wife is Jewish and states that similar arguments were used against him by the Securitate in the 1980s.[14] On January 30, 2007, Goma was awarded the "Citizen of Honor" distinction by the Municipal Council of Timişoara. In February 2007, the Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania and the Israeli Embassy protested against the distinction, arguing that Paul Goma is the author of multiple antisemitic articles.[15]

On April 5, 2006 he was invited to become a member of the Tismăneanu Commission,[16] a body charged with researching the crimes of the communist dictatorship in Romania. Nine days later he was dismissed by the Commission's president, Vladimir Tismăneanu, who explained the exclusion based on Goma's questioning the moral and scientific credibility of the president of the Commission, and disclosing of their private correspondence.[16][17]"

In 1952 when in 10th grade he was detained by Securitate for 8 days for speaking out about Romanian anti-communist partisans and for keeping a coded personal journal... http://en.wikipedia.or/wiki/Paul_Goma#Dissident_in_Romania

In 1956 was arrested for being "part of the Bucharest student movement of 1956: during a seminar, he read out to other students parts of a novel he had written about a student who establishes a movement that is similar to the ones in Hungary" He did 2 years of prison in Jilava and Gherla, where Vişinescu was apparently inspector in that period of time. Tismăneanu was among those who inquired him.

Vişinescu does not have a Wikipedia page but Leonte Tismăneanu does. Why? Vişinescu was a low level semi-literate prison inspector and later prison manager doing the dirty jobs Tismăneanu and others of his kind ordered.

23 years after the revolution, Tismăneanu's son, Vladimir, now a teacher of Comparative Politics at Maryland University who has a much bigger page in Wikipedia suddenly remembered of Vişinescu, now 88 and started accusing him of executing his father's orders as himself plainly states:

"Securistul nu are convingeri, el sau ea executa (la propriu si la figurat)."

"The Securist does not have convictions, he or she executes (literally or figuratively)"

http://www.revista22.ro/articol-29549.html

(The word Securistul is hard to translate into English. Part due to the confounding with the English word security that the first one has little to do with.)

Securist is the word used to describe the most villain characters in the time of communism, the most hated, the most infamous, often killers and torturous, at least in the first years. Also the most visible. Recruited from the lowest levels of the social hierarchy in Romania. Often illiterate. Often rudimentary nationalists themselves. Most likely brainwashed, into loosing basic human reflexes, as ironically shown above by one who knows.

Later just hearing of them was convincing enough. Further later, they softened as they got used to luxury and comfort and into the traps of corruption. Some of them realized how much they were hated. Nowadays them and their inheritors caught in network of blackmail that paralyses most of the political life of that country.

From prison guards to heads and the lower ranks of the Minister of the Interior to military and militarized police and special forces, etc., they were all securişti. I think etymologically it's coming from the Ministry of Interior and State Security.

However, this is the perception. The real "politicians" - apparatchiks - used them to do the dirtiest tasks and instill fear into population without getting themselves involved. The most interesting part is they used brainwashed nationals into killing their own, with the multiple purposes of not carrying the historic responsibility themselves but also to show Romanians are killing Romanians.

Fear or the memory of it is exploitable to the day since the generations witnessing those events are still alive and vote worthy.

Vişinescu was a jail inspector before becoming a jail manager. That proves inspections were done and they knew at any level what was going on.

Although he directly might have been responsible for some of the inhuman conditions of the prisoners or the killing of some, that could be in the hundreds, they were figures with no other power except the one given to them by their superiors. Who by the way are responsible of the killing and imprisoning of hundreds of thousands comprising mostly of the Romanian elite, often nationalists, like Goma, mostly just patriots or rich or educated.

Tismăneanu's son, Vladimir (i know, another weird coincidence) lately became (by some) the de facto leader of the Romanian intellectuals. Teacher of Comparative Politics at Maryland Universtity, he constantly mixes, implying that authority, with the hot subjects of the day in Romania, from a distance, and if there is none or none he can touch he creates one on the fly, with all the needed and necessary arguments so he can get involved.

However, at least in the last article he uses the language of the 60s and 70s and at times unexpected and rare neologisms that i for one just gave up looking for in the dictionaries. The only thing that makes the articles attractive is the evocative emotions for many as Romania is getting deeper into a hopeless poverty for most and a scene of daily scandals featuring a few, with millions working outside borders and still having a 7% official unemployment rate and on the list of the first ten countries in the world for remittance, or money sent home by migrant workers with the fear that they will forever settle in those countries (mainly Italy and Spain) and the country will be severely depopulated.

23 years after Revolution very few Romanians are interested in justice for their grand or grand grand parents long gone but this can be easily substituted, at least for a day or two, until something else comes up, for the myriad of crimes in the area of economics and politics on an unprecedented scale for that country that occur even as i write this here.

But about the current image and status of Romania there is enough information everywhere.

There are some other, more subtle aspects that occurred to me as i read Vladimir Tismăneaun's biography in Wikipedia.

"In September 1981, a short while after the death of his father, he accompanied his mother on a voyage to Spain, after she had been granted a request to visit the sites where she and her husband had fought as young people.[10][12] Unlike Hermina Tismăneanu, he opted not to return, and soon after left for Venezuela, before ultimately settling in the United States in 1982."

As i just read in that section (honestly i did not read it all, it seems very interesting, i will make some time later) it occurred to me that besides not agreeing with the Protochronism theory, that was probably way out of the European cultural mainstream and visibly exaggerated and self flattering for the National Communist regime of Ceauşescu, i don't see a great deal of dissent against his father's old comrades whose sons he probably befriended and with whom he enjoyed all the privileges of being a son of an apparatchik.

Unlike others he did not waste his time and accessed the information and accumulated a great deal of culture reading whatever was available in those libraries that not many could enter. For that, he will be judged accordingly by those who have time to read his works.

The most intriguing part is that his unique biography seems conceived as a string of dilemmas and carefully laid out traps, by many contributors, untouchable, at least in Romania, by those who don't want to risk their careers and start discussing or controversing even parts of it. Even this article i'm writing about it is an obvious, well conceived recurrent trick taken out of a Science of Politics book, with some understanding for some readers and different understanding for others, depending of their "degrees of understanding", and about this and other aspects of it i hope i will write about later as i will try to treat it dually as well.

In Romania, the only that could even read this English page from Wikipedia are teachers or students or some of the journalists that depend on the current government, that is in Tismăneanu's likeness. He even made a list with those agreed. http://www.cotidianul.ro/lista-lui-tismaneanu-216344/

But there should be, at least some degree of controversy about a guy who has a degree in sociology since 74 and a Ph.D since 80 at the University of Bucharest (although self-corrected through his numerous individual unsupervised by... Securitate! - of which he was above through his father - studies) with the title ("The Critical Theory of the Frankfurt School and Contemporary Left-Wing Radicalism").[6][7] and now teaches American students at the University of Maryland.

FAA Rules Violations

Dozens of planes making a terrible noise, for years. I've been complaining to PDX noise management and FAA until i got tired of it. On Port of Portland noise management web site there is a link to www.webtrack.com.

One day i got so mad after a conversation with FAA that i started making a collection of what i think are clear violations. However, this web site is not reliable. I saw planes flying much lower and closer than shown there. So i picked a date, May 1st and dragged that slider with the mouse and took screen shots until i got bored. I forgot about that little project but i saved a few screen shots. Here there are.

According to FAA, a plane cannot fly in urban "congested"  areas below 1500 ft above ground level. Average elevation on the map below is 200 to 300 ft, and where i live, where the house is shown on the map in the last 4 pictures below there are about 750 ft.

BBC Correspondence

On the date and time written below i received a confirmation letter form BBC following the filling of a form on their site (can't remember which). I know it had a 350 character limit. This is what i wrote in there (i hate email forms because they cannot be forwarded or easily reproduced and they generally do not behave like email).

"About the last referendum in Romania; the numbers simply don't add up. 19,0 [population INS] - 19,0 * 0,242 [24.2% under 18 (from US, in Romania unknown)] = 14,402 [right to vote]; 14,402 * 0,462 [turnout] * 0,875 [yes] = 5.822 # 7,4 [media]. Worried about the maths abilities of Romanians after 23 years of freedom. If i am wrong and why EU is silen"

If i am wrong and why EU is silent"

Since the last referendum in Romania, i've been intrigued by the following:

Lack of clear numbers regarding as the total numbers of persons with right to vote in Romania, deriving from the 2011 census. On their official governmental site http://www.recensamantromania.ro/rezultate-2/ there are only preliminary results and a vague total number of Romanian population. However within the last few days are given deadlines for completing those numbers.

It is troubling a referendum has been done last year without knowing the exact number of people and people with the right to vote. It is not clear to me what numbers they used to calculate the result. However, from my educated guesses, and putting together whatever appeared in media, those numbers do not add up or verify simple arithmetic calculations as in above "equation".

Since Romania is member of the EU and EU has not said anything regarding the irregularities of the last referendum, i am worried as well... well there are numerous legal, moral and ethical question on this subject as well.

Since i am alone in this as nobody followed up with direct answers to my fb posts regarding this issue, i am also thinking i may be wrong and i am missing some numbers. I used the preliminary numbers from the INS site mentioned above as 19 million total population and the percentage for people under 18 from... the US population, which for 2010 is 24.2%. From this i calculated an estimated 14.4 million with right to vote. Applying the percentages for numbers of voters present and numbers of voters who said yes that stabilized lately in media, results a total of 5.822 million yes votes, that contradict the number as well more repeated in media, of over 7 million yes votes.

Being and English speaker (as a second language) and a constant reader of www.bbc.co.uk i thought i should signal these findings that do not match any other analysis i've seen so far in any type of media as being a very worrisome deviation from standard democratic practices in Romania and EU.

If the calculations above are, there are very serious questions... well, you get the picture.

I did not want at first to fill out this information on a form as a news tip but i see no other way since BBC due to its nature as being a news agency cannot deal with this issue in other ways but i also was not sure of my calculations.

But doing this i let you decide whether this is a newsworthy issue or BBC should deal with this information in other ways, such as submitting it to EU decision structures i am only vaguely familiar with in case you decide my calculations are correct.

What worries me most about the above numbers is they confirm a theory that one can easily build by following online media from Romania in the last years, and that is the country is being subjected to enormous unprecedented political, economical, psychological and mediatic pressure with the obvious (to me) purpose of making as many people as possible leave that country and making it permanent and in the same time using the confusion created by the modification of electoral numbers in order to falsify further elections or referendums as sole purposes of admitting that country in the EU.

According to the news site www.cotidianul.ro, only last year over half million Romanians left the country.

If this "trend" continues and the "political" factors seen on Romanian media scene are continuing to try and hide it, in a few years there will be not enough native Romanian population in Romania to justify the naming of that territory.

[two rows missing]

I am also wondering if the EU leading countries do not give in into lobby from their part [a few words missing] and decide to turn a blind eye and breaking UE legislation regarding the organizing or supervising of census, referendums and elections in its member countries. But since i am not familiar with international law nor with how far EU legislation is going regarding the supervising the democratic processes in its member countries, i simply do not have a clue.

A Billionaire Named Bass

https://www.google.com/search?q=socialite+bass+romanian+butler&source=lnms&tbm=isch
And a Romanian butler called Nico-laescu. Who was stupid enough to go to work thinking making $70000 dollars a year can be real.

Bass is a fish name. Nico is a dracula name. He was from Ridgewood, a dracula place. He injects his victims with a syringe containing a mysterious virus, a dracula habit.

Not a shred of evidence, except for the DNA in a car belonging to the victim. But he worked there as a butler, everything is cross-contaminated. Even if she bought the car after he left. The "victim" didn't see her "assailants"' face. Nobody else did.

The fantastic accordion case that floats together with the evidence for 6 days then shows up ashore in front of a cop "the contents of an accordion case that washed ashore in Jamaica Bay six days after the home invasion".

There is no proof anybody has been injected with anything. There is no proof anything happened. There is no proof. There were only 12 convinced jurors and the wife of a Texas billionaire who has something with Romanians with vague Jewish descent.

Others Will Follow

Set an example and others will follow. The slogan of elitists of modern times. Actually not so modern, don't know, i'm an amateur in everything but i think it started with the model of centralized state in France.

It is a type of society that evolved naturally along history as opposed to the ideas of some philosopher or philosophy or collective state of mind of the few that mattered at a certain time.

The main advantage is that is simple. It's a simple idea that doesn't need much argumentation in one's mind in order to be accepted. The simplicity is its main disadvantage as well. The well fed and respected few at top set standards and rules but also experiment and come with new ideas and generally are the only motor of progress in that society.

Since the system was in place for so many years, tradition took place and nothing else can be easily recognized as an alternative. In fact, it almost seems like a stapple in social evolution. Any other types of state models and societies that have tried to replace it had to rely on the old model and change some things here and there.

All states including communist and fascist have a government composed of ministers and some sort of territorial divisions and local authority. They are all more of less tributary to the centralized model.

Unfortunately, because of how the centralized type of state and society evolved, it has to have at the top some sort of leader, emperor, king, sultan, president, dictator or any combination of the above.

As a consequence, scores of people from the elites few developed a taste for gaining king's favors, thus shortcutting and competing with the others at establishing rules, shaking the system and contributing to the dynamics of the organization but also becoming a source of progress in an unwanted direction, that of manipulation and generating inequities.

The biggest challenge to this system came with the appearance of modern communications. We can mention of how important communications are by citing here the very the famous example, that of Rothschild's family in connection to the battle of Waterloo, when they knew one day ahead of everybody the result of the battle. (This is the first time in my life when i realize the true meaning of the ABBA song, Waterloo, by recalling the verse "i feel like i win when i loose".)

For those who read this don't need to mention how much communications evolved to this day. It has become the most important industry in modern society, the new Eldorado, the cornerstone of mankind's evolution, the main tool in learning, keeping in touch, selling, redistributing, the new soft infrastructure of modern times. Large categories suddenly came in contact with unprecedented and unpredictable amounts of information.

But also a place of dirty games, not to say wars, manipulating, impersonating, creating false images and parallel realities sometimes hard to figure and adapt to. Some categories were more prepared for then others. Those who knew it was coming.

Don't know exactly who leads this new informational revolution, but as usual, most interested where those left behind, those that have lost previous fights for king's favors. The distinctiveness of this revolution is it has taught large categories that real favors are not the ones sought for until not long ago. Money will always be money, but health and other favors have gained totally new meanings. For some, work can be a hobby, a sport and a place of gaining fame and/or respect.

I personally think allowing one to work in an acceptable environment can be a favor.

Some categories are satisfied just with the enlightenment in itself brought by the new revolution and do not seek anything more.

Romania's Honorary Consul in Portland, OR

Mr. Honorary Consul,

For some reason i have the feeling that the Lake Oswego Police Department gave in to some sort of parallel justice system may include basic ethics since they don't trust and/or are not loyal to the laws they are sworn to defend. I have made several complaints supposedly on file with them that never got answered. I will not try and complicate my life risking any further contact with them. And they probably are not the only ones. Last time i went to Beaverton Police to make a complaint i've been received by a couple of possible impersonators one of them in Police uniform inside that big building downtown with the mark Police on it surrounded by Police cars. There are strange things happening in this area that i can only imagine but i assume you know better than i do. Many years and even before 2008 i was afraid to talk about those because of the risk of being put again in a mental institution. I remember last time i was for several weeks in September 2004 at Providence St. Vincent the doctor who got me in there by Washington County Court Order dr.Sigurdson sort of disappeared after a few days while i was in there. I believe that in the building where i reside there is also living some sort of impersonator controlling several apartments including my own, my cars and the air i breathe.

Please look further into this to make a better understanding of the situation.

And also here

I still believe that under normal circumstances i would have been able to make a living for me and my family around here.

It is true that i owe my life to some people that took care of me but this is not the type of life i came into this country and was hoping for.

Right now my only hope is that the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is going to become something closer to its normal purpose.

And honestly, by reason of how my life has been conducted so far i am not used and don't know how to make any sort of deals even if i wanted and i wouldn't realize if some people would show they are open to discussions.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties.  Obviously there is nothing from a legal standpoint that I can assist with.  I would suggest that you once again contact the Lake Oswego police department.  I will be happy to follow up with them after your call and determine their position. Please contact me after you have spoken with them.

Please note that my front brakes are leaking again withing the last 2 days before and after a complete front brake job done by the Les Scwab Tires Center in Aloha. There is also a possibility that some of the employees in there are impersonator and not real mechanics. I also submit here that one of my neighbors dresses like and impersonates other persons. Since i tried and contacted the local Police in the past with no results i don't think this will help. I tried and contacted the Romanian Embassy in Washington but the attitude and voice tone of the greeting message is discouraging me from letting any message. Also all the extensions go to voice mail like yours today when i tried to contact you on the phone.

Oops, He Did It Again!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2023809/Did-George-Soros-win-10-1-return-S-Ps-US-credit-rating-downgrade.html

http://rt.com/usa/news/doj-sp-us-rating-497/

Some credit him with starting the 1997-1998 financial crisis in Asia. I think it was the second notable hit (for the casual observer) in a series that continue until today. We know for sure he "broke the bank of England in 1992" making 1 billion dollars by betting some 6,5 billion borrowed money against the devaluation of sterling pound. I think at the time we all heard of rumors of insider information. I think a couple of Englishmen went to jail for that (still have to verify that). There are numerous accounts of his ventures on the Internet. From time to time he shows up in the media and makes predictions, warnings and prophecies.

Just opened the Wikipedia page and saw within the first self indulgent paragraphs that he donated 8 billion through charities to various causes including the first cited one, "human rights".

I keep asking myself, how do you donate money to human rights as a cause or concept? You have to give it to an organization and choose which one fights better for human rights vs other. Human rights is also related to the equality of all men.

How somebody can be equal to others when he gets huge amounts of money using insider information for betting against institutions most sensitive to our economical stability and development, always gets away with it, uses it to create unrest in different parts of the world then bragging about saying it was for human rights?

Especially by projecting self as a super brainy, virile, Robin Hood, marrying again at 82 with a 40 years younger woman still in her prime?

Now he made the news again with making money from devaluation of yen which as a financial genius he foresaw at the arrival of the new prime minister of Japan. What was this time, genius of inside info?

And all the billions he made was what, small fish lost in the anonymous ocean of the world's wealth that nobody keeps track of?

What can we say when these days the stock market is worked up with supercomputers that buy and sell in milliseconds in a continuous saraband of electronic trade belonging to organizations that compete to get those computers as close as possible to the building where the stock market has its own supercomputers, as the speed of the signal and the length of lines count in the competition?

One thing is sure, he's not the only one who's robbing the markets but the only that also twists it and uses it as positive image.

Planetary Alignement

I've always said astrology was/is a waste of time. And maybe it is for the most part. But today after viewing a short video with Gelu Voican Voiculescu presenting some stuff about planetary alignments and talking almost like a scientist, i was curious and opened Stellarium and set it on December 89. After all, 89 was the year of great and peaceful transformations in Eastern Europe. But while playing with the time wheel of the mouse back and forth it was not 89 that caught my eye but early January 1990. Take a look for yourself. I couldn't catch all planets in a single screenshot so i put two successive ones, one with the outer planets and one with the inner ones. They were pretty aligned allright. I'll keep on googling about until i can find some more info. But i don't think it happens very often. For those who asked themselves why i keep adding all kind of things from so many different areas. In college, i actually had to learn pages full of differential equations that i totally forgot describing the motion of planets when we had a whole chapter of Celestial Mechanics within the semester or year of the mandatory Theory of Mechanics course. It was enough to raise my curiosity about stars and planets and stuff. Then the Sci-Fi movies like Star Trek and Star Wars i love to watch. There was also a legend transmitted from generation to generation of students at the Mechanics Faculty within the Technical University in Iaşi about then retired prof.Mangeron saying that when NASA asked scientists from the whole world to help them with recalculating the trajectory of Apollo 13 after the accident actually he sent them the best calculations, and they actually used those to bring the astronauts back to Earth. Lasciati

All Romanian politicians are for sale or already bought. I would say most are in the last category. If any raises his head with an idea that is not conforming to whoever controls that country, it is immediately threatened, blackmailed or bought. Some even trick their conscience with ideas like: Don't you see what a country full of idiots this is, you only have so many years to live, what do you get if you fight for those idiots that are already lost?

A whole army of media celebrities do their pirouettes, on demand, showing up in any moment, just in time with all kind of unexpected insignificant news, usually semantically related to the current political events, to produce hesitation, waste of time and confusion.

Press articles and scene moves that apparently don't have a link with nothing, twist, paralyze and occupy the minds of Romanians, like the serpents paralyze their pray before killing it.

But this process started, as little as it could,  integrated under the masque of communist ideology, taking advantage of the incompetence of the occupants, their lack of sophistication, with the naming of an idiot totally manipulated in the position of "conducător". I believe this was the only case in history when a country has been occupied and their occupants didn't gain much, but in turn opened the gate for others, smarter then them. This in itself proves that they themselves where occupied, if only ideologically. The question remains to this day, by whom?

I remember here of the song of the Romanian band Phoenix, Under the shadow of the great bear,  who needs decades to understand what happened just yesterday. Under the shadow of the great bear they constantly undermined and eroded us.

Some of the best psychologist and sociologist the world have ever seen coordinate all this current masquerade. Now, modeled in real time on supercomputers and fed with the data put voluntarily by Romanians themselves in the social networks and computers and telephone networks.

Our bad luck was to have as neighbors those who interposed between us and the rest of the civilized Europe, for centuries, only them benefiting from that contact and integrating themselves in the West, using and applying with decades before us the latest technical and scientific novelties, especially controlling some of the Romanian scholars mostly through corruption.

Sometimes i think of the influence they had in the cultural capital of Eastern Europe, Vienna, and generally over Austria, Europe and generally in the whole world.

Knowing perfectly the Romanian language (sometimes even better than the Romanians themselves), after being for centuries the mastering elite in the west of the country.

Romania doesn't mean much on industrial or economical terms, everything that's left is the souls of the millions that are still in the country that are about to be lost in a an invisible, psychological, undeclared but total war, and of course, its territory. With the remotely controlled politicians, after 89, other millions emigrated in Western Europe.

It is not excluded the use of some hidden branches, which sometimes are known are "paranormal" from sciences like physics, biophysics, psychology, physiology.

Romanians should understand that everything that moves and is visible and invisible in that country it's their enemy now and there is not a single person or entity that can help them.

Linia escu

Antonescu nu a fost altceva decât next level (probably last before game over).

Comrade Peter

As heard in ~72-74 when i was 12-14. Version adapted for English, slightly modified from the original which is hard to reproduce here.

Lenin died and went to Hell. One day St.Peter met with Satan. St.Peter was curious about Lenin and asked Satan how was he doing. Satan said: St.Peter, it's good you asked, it's a big problem, i don't know what to do with him anymore, he's turning all my devils into commies, soon they'll be all on strike and i couldn't run the Hell anymore. Saint Peter went OK, i'll take him a few days to see what's going on and then i'll return him to you. A couple of weeks later they meet again. Satan asked: Saint Peter, did you fix Lenin, can i have him back now? And Peter answers: What saint are you talking about, you mean comrade Peter, and now don't keep me here wasting my time, cause i was on my way to a party meeting and i don't want to be late!...

Gaffe, as a Relief Valve

Every once in a while they try to discredit Wikipedia, like in the current attempt of joking with Romney's page. The wicked pedal. But they cannot reedit all the pages as they cannot alter our memory, the temple of our existence. "Despite his campaign's blunders, Ford managed to close the remaining gap in the polls and by election day the race was judged to be even."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1976#Results

It seems there are politicians that are professional candidates. They always successfully candidate, giving us the illusion that our favorite party actually has a fair chance.

And then there's the relief valve, the pacifier, the great balancer, when pressure is build up too high. Blunder in the past, now polished and re wrapped with the word gaffe and brought to an art, cause of course, you have to know how to do it without raising probable suspicion in a hopeful but weary elector. But for that they have polls and more modern feedback institutions.

And the symbolism of course. The parallel paradigmatic reality that governs our subconscient with its own logic and sequence of events.

Dole. It almost sound like doll or dull.

Anybody remember what senator Bob Dole did after his last campaign? What kind of advertisements? It looked to me at the time like he was the perfect candidate for those, bringing a bitter smile.

Almost as hermetic as Gorbachev's add for Pizza Hutt. Remember?
